Chapter 142: Dragons Couple
Ryuzen's gaze snapped toward her, his golden eyes narrowing. "You… want me to reveal it here? In front of everyone?"
Aurora leaned forward, lips curling in mischief. "Of course. You just admitted you're a dragon. Words are one thing, but seeing it… that would settle all doubts."
Venus immediately stepped in, her tone sharp. "Aurora, should I reveal my Dragon form too?"
She wasn't born a dragon. If anyone knew the truth—that someone had gifted her that bloodline—it would only create bigger problems. So she stayed silent after that, guarding her secret.
Aurora tilted her head, studying her. "Yes. We're curious to see yours as well. But… it's another mystery how you awakened that bloodline. As far as we know, your parents were ordinary humans. So tell us, Venus—how did you gain it?"
"I don't want to tell," Venus said stubbornly, her fists tightening.
The other commanders' eyes narrowed, suspicion brewing in their silence.
Before the air could grow heavier, Ryuzen stepped forward, placing himself between Venus and their stares. His golden gaze burned. "Enough."
Noah chuckled, breaking the tension, arms still crossed. "Now, now… don't get so heated. Still… I have to admit, I am curious. A dragon walking around in human skin? That's not something you see every day."
Rudos scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "To be honest, I kinda wanna see it too. Just once."
Ryuzen exhaled sharply through his nose, his patience thinning. "You think our form is some kind of circus act? Something to feed your curiosity?" His voice dropped, heavy and sharp, laced with the weight of draconic authority.
Aurora's smile faltered at his tone, but she didn't back down. Instead, her expression softened, almost reverent. "No… not entertainment. Reverence. If you truly are a dragon… then you're a legend standing before us. Don't you think we deserve to witness it with our own eyes?"
The commanders exchanged glances in silence, their expressions a mix of awe and anticipation.
All eyes turned back to Ryuzen and Venus.
"Fine... You asked for it. "
The air trembled as Ryuzen finally gave in. His body shimmered with blinding radiance, golden light surging from his core. Scales rippled across his skin, each one igniting like molten sunlight before hardening into a crystalline sheen of gold edged with icy azure. With a thunderous roar, his frame expanded, growing and stretching until the chamber shook under his presence.
Before the commanders stood the Solarfrost Imperial Dragon, 100 meters tall. His wings unfurled with a brilliance that illuminated the sky itself, each membrane glowing like glass infused with starlight, layered in threads of fire and frost. His horns curved back like spears of frozen gold, burning at the tips with radiant flame. Every breath spilled freezing winds laced with searing heat, a paradox of destruction and creation. His golden eyes blazed like twin suns, radiating an authority that crushed all resistance beneath it.
Boom!
But his size was too great. With a resounding crack, his horns and shoulders smashed into the ceiling. Stone split apart, the marble dome shattering like glass as slabs of debris rained down. Dust erupted through the hall, yet the commanders could only stare in speechless awe as the once-proud chamber was torn open to the sky by the dragon's towering frame.
Then, beside him, Venus's body erupted with earthy green and bronze light. Vines of luminous energy coiled around her as scales emerged, thick and earthen, glowing with veins of emerald light. She grew taller and taller until she stood 70 meters high, her massive frame coiled in protective majesty. The Sacred Earth Dragon had revealed herself for the first time.
Her body was armored in deep jade scales reinforced with ridges of stone-like plating, each one etched with ancient markings that pulsed faintly like a heartbeat. Her wings stretched wide, patterned with veins of glowing emerald, resembling living mountains taking flight. Her horns jutted upward like spires of crystal, tearing through the upper walls of the hall as her back smashed against its supports. More of the roof collapsed under the pressure, leaving the vast ruin open to the heavens. Her eyes shone in a calm yet unyielding green, carrying the unshakable presence of a guardian who would protect at all cost.
The two dragons towered side by side, their colossal bodies breaking free from the confines of stone, rising through the broken ceiling into the open air. Sun and frost, earth and life. Their very existence shook the hearts of every commander who bore witness, filling the chamber with reverence, fear, and awe.
The ceiling thundered as stone and marble rained down, sunlight piercing through the gaping ruin above. The two colossal dragons stood revealed in their full majesty, scales blazing with impossible brilliance.
For a moment, there was only silence.
Noah, the Fireball King, usually so smug and unshakable, dropped the smirk from his lips. His eyes widened, fire magic trembling in his veins as if refusing to answer him. "Like I guessed their bloodline isn't ordinary…"
Aurora's hands, which had so confidently reached for her staff, froze midair. Her lips parted in disbelief, her divine aura faltering. "Yes, it's true… an Imperial Dragon… and a Sacred Earth Dragon… standing side by side…" Her voice cracked, reverence battling fear in her tone.
Dama, the brute who rarely flinched at anything, took an instinctive step back. Her fists, always eager for battle, clenched and trembled. "Monsters… you're absolute monsters…" she breathed, her usual bravado swallowed by awe.
Lugh, the commander of strategy, forgot himself entirely. His pen slipped from his hand, parchment scattering on the ground. "This… changes everything," he whispered, his voice small as his calculating mind tried and failed to frame a way to contain such power.
Nimo, always calm and unreadable, had his composure shattered. His lips quivered as he whispered under his breath, "…two dragons… and not lesser breeds. Real… legends."
Mikael, who had laughed earlier, stood frozen stiff. The mirth drained from his eyes, leaving only horror. His throat bobbed as he tried to swallow, but no words came.
