Chapter 127: Dragon's Might.
The Empress shrieked in fury, her six wings flaring wide, each feather-like blade glowing with violet runes. She swung them down, and a tidal wave of temporal energy rushed forward. Trees, soil, even shattered crystal husks of slain ants disintegrated into dust, erased from existence.
Ryuzen's jaws opened wide, golden and icy-blue light swirling within.
"Eclipse Cataclysmic Roar!"
The heavens split as his roar unleashed a torrent of fused flames, one half burning hotter than the sun, the other colder than death. The blast struck the violet wave head-on, exploding into a storm that bent the sky itself.
Reality screamed. Time fractured into shards, freezing and accelerating at random. A deer caught nearby aged into a skeleton in an instant, while falling leaves reversed midair, returning to branches that had already burned.
But amidst that chaos, Ryuzen's body pressed forward. His claws lit with jagged lightning.
"Lightning Manipulation: Sky Rend!"
A thunderclap shook the forest as he slashed down, cutting through one of the Empress's wings. Violet ichor splattered the ground like molten glass, sizzling wherever it landed.
The Empress howled, her fractured carapace glowing with temporal light. She retaliated, her massive legs stabbing into the ground. Temporal fissures spread outward, and Ryuzen suddenly found himself aging, his body shifting years in seconds. His muscles strained, his bones cracking under invisible weight.
But then his eyes blazed gold and icy-blue.
"Sun Dragon's Gaze!"
Twin beams shot from his eyes, piercing through the temporal distortions, cutting clean across her chest. Her carapace cracked like breaking mirrors, fragments of time bleeding from the wound.
The Empress screeched again, fury shaking the skies.
Yet even as Ryuzen tore apart her Time Domain, his allies remained statues, frozen in that gray world. Venus stood mid-punch, Irina's arrow half-drawn, Felix's blood whip coiled midair, Rudos's staff glowing faintly with a healing aura that never reached him.
Ryuzen's draconic heart thundered in his chest. His golden flame flared, fusing with his icy mist, spiraling higher into a storm that devoured the crimson sky.
He raised his claws toward the Empress, his voice reverberating like a god's decree.
"Your domain ends here."
The Time Domain itself groaned as cracks raced across it like shattered glass. Violet light bled into the air, consumed by gold and ice.
The Empress's massive form trembled, her once-cold voice now carrying the faintest tremor.
"This… this cannot be."
And for the first time, the Chrysalis Empress faltered before a true predator.
The Empress's violet aura pulsed like a heart of doom, her Time Domain grinding everything to stillness. The forest was frozen in silence, even the motes of dust unmoving.
But Ryuzen's bloodline resisted. His scales glowed with frost-fire light, his breath steaming in fury.
"It's futile. You can't hold me."
In reply, the Empress raised her claws, arcs of temporal distortion closing in on him. Ryuzen answered with a thunderclap of force.
"Eclipse Cataclysmic Roar!"
A torrent of black-gold sound, mingled with freezing mist, exploded from his maw. The shockwave ripped apart the distortion field, cracks splintering through the Time Domain itself.
"Screech!"
The Empress screeched as her body was driven back, carapace cracking under the sonic storm.
She vanished — reappearing behind him in a blink of time-warp — claws descending to tear through his back.
Ryuzen's wings flared, scales crystallizing in icy brilliance. Ice Guardian Armour bloomed across his body, her strike glancing off with sparks of violet and blue.
He spun, claws gleaming, and thrust forward his hand.
"Solar Cryo Lance!"
A spear of interwoven sunfire and glacial ice shot from his palm, tearing across the battlefield. It pierced through her side, violet ichor bursting as her scream warped the air itself.
Yet she endured, her aura dragging at his movements. Time tugged at his wings, trying to pin him.
Ryuzen's eyes narrowed, golden slit pupils glowing.
"Sun Dragon's Gaze."
His glare burned with solar authority, locking the Empress in place for a heartbeat, her temporal aura faltering under his dominance.
He lunged forward, his steps dissolving into vapor. Mist Phantom Steps carried his massive body in flickers, vanishing and reappearing as though space itself bent to his will. In an instant, he was upon her, claws descending.
"Crimson Apex Frenzy!"
His strikes rained down in a blur, claws and tail tearing across her body, every blow heavier than the last. Violet ichor spattered the frozen battlefield as her form buckled under the relentless barrage.
Desperate, she tried to ensnare him, warping time into chains.
But Ryuzen's palm surged with abyssal cold and radiant fire.
"Abyssal Grasp!"
A shadowed, frost-fire claw erupted from the ground, seizing her midsection. It dragged her down, slamming her into the shattered forest floor.
"Bang!"
The Empress gasped, ichor spilling, her wings trembling.
Ryuzen's body blazed with stormlight, arcs of electricity dancing across his scales. He raised his wings, energy crackling across the sky.
"Lightning Manipulation!"
"RUMBLE!"
A torrent of golden lightning rained down upon her, searing her body, breaking the last of her temporal hold.
With a thunderous crack, the Time Domain shattered.
The forest breathed again. His allies blinked, weapons still raised in the same stance as before, but confusion flashing in their eyes.
In front of them, the Chrysalis Empress lay broken, bloodied, and twitching — alive, but utterly defeated.
And standing above her was not the towering Solarfrost Imperial Dragon, but Ryuzen in human form. His chest rose and fell heavily, steam rising off his body, traces of frost and golden flame fading into the night air.
His allies blinked in confusion. A moment ago, they had been frozen — and now, the battle was already over.
"What…just happened?" one of them muttered.
Ryuzen kept his expression calm, his golden eyes dimming back to ordinary. He said nothing about what had transpired, only staring down at the Empress with cold resolve.
He could have revealed it now. After all, they had already learned the true history. So now his bloodline would no longer be something to hide.
But it wasn't time. Not yet.
He clenched his fists, steadying his breath. "The fight is over. Let's finish the Empress."
The others blinked in disbelief, their eyes searching his face as if trying to confirm whether he was truly serious.
