Life in North America, you call this an autopsy officer?!

Chapter 373: Speechless

Beverly Hills.

Brian, along with Susan and a dog and a bird, drove to a mansion in this small city.

This was the new home of his cousin Fooly.

Though it wasn't exactly new.

Not long after Fooly returned to Los Angeles, he purchased this mansion in the small city of just about six square miles.

He was now doing quite well in the music industry, leveraging his own talent and Brian's influence.

He had even participated in the shooting of his sister's horror movie.

The response was good.

It was said that Fooly had taken part in another big production this year, playing the second male lead in a superhero gangster crime movie.

In the glitzy Hollywood scene, he was actually becoming somewhat of a figure.

This was what puzzled Brian.

With Brian's current influence, Fooly had managed to re-establish the Kamor family's name, now more prominent than during Uncle Billy's time.

He couldn't understand why his uncle's obsession was not yet fulfilled.

But it didn't matter anymore.

To Brian now, his uncle's "obsession gift" was just a minor sweet treat, hardly comparable to the profits he had made through the urban legend gatherings organized by Fooly.

..

Today's feast was a family dinner.

When Brian and others arrived, aside from a few servants, there were no other outsiders.

Hearing the commotion, Fooly came out with a petite flaxen-haired Caucasian woman, giving Brian an enthusiastic hug, "I'm glad you could come, Brian, you're even more impressive now."

After letting go, he warmly greeted Susan, "Susan, you look beautiful today, seems like you've been in a good mood lately."

Susan smiled, "Thank you, my mood has generally been good since meeting Brian."

Behind her, Shi San and Meatball stared at Susan, feeling this was unfamiliar.

It was their first time hearing Susan speak words of affection.

Brian was more curious about Fooly's comments, "Has my reputation really spread that quickly?"

Despite the recent unrest in Los Angeles.

But that was limited to the upper echelons.

The middle and lower strata didn't feel much of the change.

Even the well-connected Hollywood celebrities felt the same.

Brian hadn't expected that his reputation had spread so swiftly.

Fooly shook his head, "Not really, but the movie I recently participated in, merely as the second male lead, resulted in the director and producer increasing their warmth towards me tremendously, turning my role into one of a dual protagonist. Even my released albums have seen an unexpected increase in traffic. I'm not foolish; this must be due to your influence."

Brian suddenly understood.

While the passage of upper-level news might be slow to the lower levels, it doesn't prevent those company bosses from trying to ingratiate themselves with Fooly to curry favor with him.

After all, building a good relationship with Fooly would mean that should any issues arise, they could also ask for assistance through him, like arranging a meeting, which is a guaranteed profitable deal.

Brian didn't mind this.

He wasn't an old fogey who couldn't adapt.

Being able to use his influence to make life better and more dignified for those around him was a fulfilling matter.

Quite good.

..

After some casual conversation.

Fooly greeted Shi San and Meatball and then formally introduced the woman beside him to the couple and their pets, "This is Mary, my girlfriend, soon to be my wife; I've proposed to her."

"Congratulations, Fooly, you finally have your own little family."

Brian and Susan sent their blessings and warmly greeted a somewhat awkward Mary, "Welcome to the Kamor family, Miss Mary."

"Thank you~"

Mary nodded at Brian.

With a chuckle, Fooly led the way, slightly joyously adding, "Besides this, I have another piece of good news, but I plan to announce it during dinner later."

Meatball seemed to want to say something but was stopped by a swipe of Shi San's tail.

The naive bird didn't understand much about worldly matters and probably wanted to mock.

As Meatball's dog father, Shi San always set a good example outside, teaching Meatball these things.

...

Fooly's purchased mansion, located in Beverly Hills, could only be considered a mid-to-lower-end residence. It wasn't very large or as scenic as those at the top of the hills, but it was still considered a luxury mansion for ordinary people.

Dining room.

The chef had already prepared a full table of food.

As everyone entered, the chef conscientiously left.

Brian then took out a bottle of fine wine he had brought and handed it to Fooly.

Like Brian, Fooly wasn't particularly interested in wine.

He casually handed the wine bottle to his girlfriend, signaling her to uncork it.

While Mary was away.

Fooly whispered to Brian, "Mary comes from an ordinary background, and I haven't yet told her about the other side of this world."

Hearing this, Susan said in surprise nearby, "That would be a difficult issue to avoid..."

She knew that Fooly's biological father, Brian's uncle, was a Mutant.

And according to records, Billy had become a Mutant before having children.

To some extent.

Fooly and his sister had inherited Billy's Mutant bloodline, although it hadn't manifested.

Brian also didn't understand Fooly's approach.

After all, as soon as he had arrived, he had sensed the unique hormone scent of a pregnant woman coming from Mary.

Not just him.

Susan and the pets had also noticed.

Fooly shook his head, somewhat helplessly saying, "I hadn't intended to get involved with ordinary girls like Mary, but as you know, emotions are hard to control. She is now pregnant with my child, and I worry that the child might inherit some things from my father. I also fear telling Mary about this, worrying she might not accept it."
