Chapter 100 – Meet with Ruth
Ronan and one staff member walked toward Crowne. Ronan smiled in relief. He had already suspected that his master would win, but the closer he got, the more he frowned. Crowne's eyes were closed. His body was full of wounds, yet he was still standing.
When both sides were very close, they stared at each other. "Is he unconscious too?"
Ronan walked up to Crowne, touched his body, and it was true. Crowne was unconscious. Ronan carried Crowne's body on his back.
"They both fainted. If it is like this, who won?" whispered Ronan's companion.
"Of course my master. He is still standing," Ronan replied.
The staff did not argue. Even though both of them were unconscious, Crowne fainted while standing. That was cool.
"Yeah, I agree with you," the staff said.
They quickly carried the bodies of the two fighters to the treatment room, along with another companion who was also injured. They also had to be witnesses to the destruction of the training arena. It was a little troublesome, but after watching the battle earlier, it was a worthy price.
"That was an incredible fight. I felt like I was watching two rank S adventurers," the staff member said.
Ronan lowered his head. He smiled slightly. He was very proud of his master who had grown extremely fast. He was once just a boy belittled by his own family. Now he was equal to a rank S adventurer. That was an amazing achievement.
Not everyone could reach this level, especially in less than a year.
Ronan nodded. "Yeah, that was an insanely amazing fight."

Crowne and Ruth were treated in the treatment room. The fight between Crowne and Ruth began to spread and became a topic among many adventurers in the guild. However, they did not know Crowne's name. The only story spreading was that a rank C adventurer managed to defeat Ruth, who was a rank S adventurer.
Of course, that became the talk of everyone. Curiosity filled their minds. They were eager to know who that rank C adventurer was.
Karin and Benson heard about it too while they were in the capital. They sat in the front room. When they heard the news, both of them looked at each other. They were curious about the one who managed to do that.
"Ruth can be defeated. This is incredible," Benson praised.
"I am curious about who did that. Ruth is not someone who is easily defeated. Even I have trouble beating him," Karin said.
Benson nodded. "Ruth's body is as hard as steel. Bringing Ruth down is extremely difficult, even for fellow rank S adventurers."
"His body is like a mountain. Very difficult to topple."
"If someone can defeat him, that means that person is equal to me," Benson said.
Karin nodded in agreement. Ruth used to be in the top five strongest rank S adventurers when she was still very active. Now, she was not as active, but Ruth was still very strong, especially when he got serious.
Ruth might no longer train as intensely and his instincts might be slightly dull, but it did not mean he was weak. He was simply stiff.
"I heard that the one who defeated Ruth is a twenty year old young man," Karin said.
"Twenty years old? Isn't he thirty?"
Both ages were only rumors. No one really knew Crowne's age. Everything was just guesses. Some even claimed Crowne was an old man in his fifties, which was far from the truth. Crowne was only eighteen. He had just turned eighteen a week ago. He was very young and could still grow much stronger.
"Whatever his age is, it is not that important," Karin said. She stood up and looked toward the receptionist's desk. "I will meet that man once he wakes up, but for now I need to hunt the giant centipede that is attacking a village north of the capital. Do you want to come?" she asked Benson.
"You cannot handle it alone?"
Karin narrowed her eyes. "Are you underestimating me?"
Benson laughed at her expression. He stood and grabbed his sword. "I have something to do. I need to retrieve three rank C kids who were sold as slaves. This is a direct order from above," Benson said.
When Karin heard the word "slaves," it made her angry. Her hand tightened into a fist, but she held herself back. She had another mission to do. She took one step, stopped, and looked back at Benson.
"Do not kill anyone," Karin requested.
Benson nodded. "I will not kill fellow humans. Do not worry."
Karin was relieved and left. It would take her around three days to finish her mission. She might need eight days to return to the guild. Not because the mission was difficult, but because of the journey.
As Karin walked out of the exit, Benson looked to the side. "I will not kill them, but I will make them feel something worse than death."
He walked to the receptionist's desk to ask for the address he needed to go to. He held his sword tightly. Benson's eyes were sharp, filled with anger. He also hated slavery.
"Trash like them should be removed," Benson said firmly.

Crowne opened his eyes. At that moment, he felt pain all over his body. He looked to his right and saw someone sleeping beside him. Crowne tilted his head. He felt familiar with the person next to him.
When he leaned closer, he was shocked when he realized it was Ronan, the young man who used to be his servant as well as his personal guard. Crowne was surprised to see Ronan here. He thought Ronan was still in Stromhall City.
Crowne stood up. Some parts of his body still hurt a lot, but he forced himself. He got off the bed, wanting to leave the room, but he turned back. He walked toward the bed again, took the blanket, and covered Ronan who was sleeping.
After that, Crowne left the room. When he stepped outside, he was surprised to see many rooms there. There were some branching hallways. He did not recognize this place.
"Where am I?" He scratched his head.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, looking left and right. Then he chose the right side. He chose that direction because his intuition told him to go there. Crowne walked slowly. His body had not fully recovered, but he was much better.
"How many days was I unconscious?" Crowne muttered.
"Probably three or four days," Sylvara replied.
Crowne was startled by the voice in his head, but he quickly got used to it. He was a bit surprised that he had been unconscious for that long. He knew he would faint after using his strong attack earlier, but he did not expect it to last this long.
"What happened to Ruth? Did I lose to him?"
"I do not know who can be declared the winner because both of you ended up unconscious," Sylvara answered.
Crowne felt slightly disappointed, but this result was not bad at all. He was sure that this outcome would raise him to rank A. That would make it easier for him to enter Moonlight City. After this, he would go there.
But suddenly he remembered something. "How are Lina and Daisy? Did they meet their little sibling yet?"
Crowne had never met Lina and Daisy again since the last day they parted. He would look for them once he finished his matters. They were adventurers, so they would go to the guild. They should meet again by chance.
Crowne arrived at a junction. There were three paths in front of him. He looked left, right, and forward. They all looked the same and no one was around. Of course this made him confused. He did not know which way to choose.
Crowne let out a long sigh. "This is really troublesome."
He stood for a while and finally chose to walk to the right. He walked again and finally saw two women walking at the end of the hallway. Crowne was relieved. He finally met someone.
Crowne raised his hand and waved. "Hey, can I ask something?" he said loudly.
The two women turned around. When they saw Crowne's face, they whispered to each other. They approached Crowne and saluted him. This surprised him because he did not know either of them.
"Wha..."
Before he could say anything, one of the women spoke first. "We are glad you are alright. We came to check on your condition, but it seems you have already recovered."
Crowne nodded.
"Ah, I almost forgot. You are requested by Lord Ruth to come to his room. Can you go?"
Crowne nodded again. "Of course I can," he answered. He did want to meet Ruth to discuss his rank promotion. "Please lead the way," Crowne said.
Both women nodded and turned around, walking ahead. Crowne followed from behind.
One of them looked back at Crowne. "Ah, is there something you wanted to say earlier? I cut you off. Sorry." She looked apologetic.
"It is nothing. Forget it," Crowne replied.
He had wanted to ask about Ruth's condition, but that question had already been answered. Asking the same thing again would be stupid.
The two women in front kept glancing at him and whispering to each other. This made Crowne confused. He even frowned.
"Is there something strange about me?" he asked.
Both of them giggled. "You are handsome too, Lord Crowne," they replied.
Crowne was surprised by the answer. His cheeks turned a little red.
"Thank you."
