Legendary Necromancer: My First Summon is the Undead Dragon

Chapter 82: Planning it out

Boom!

The explosion sounded loud and thunderous. Jake thought that in that moment, he had died.

[Open your eyes, dummy,] the system said.

Jake opened his eyes only to see himself in a barrier made of golden light, and standing in front of him was Ophelia.

She blocked the entire attack. When she had blocked the other ones, he saw her barrier shatter. He never thought she would be able to block something of this magnitude.

Ophelia was standing there, hands trembling, blood running down her nose. She looked back at Jake and smiled before passing out, and the barrier shattered.

Jake launched forward. He grabbed her before she could fall. He looked at her face, a soft smile on it.

"Twice. Twice I've put you in pain," he muttered. "Enough of this," he said.

He looked at Fang. It had been blasted aside by the attack, but it wasn't dead or heavily wounded.

Jake got on his feet, still holding Ophelia in his hands. He summoned all the ogres, then handed her to one.

"Take her to the house and guard her with your lives. I will extinguish your soul if even a hair of her falls to the ground," Jake said, his tone firm.

The ogres took Ophelia, and all of them ran back toward the house. With Ophelia out of the way, Jake didn't have to worry. He got back on Fang, and so did Crypt.

"Let's go," he said. Fang immediately shot forward again, rushing through the streets to get to the walls of the city.

Jake was brimming with rage at this moment. He didn't care what he had to do; he was going to do all it took to take down the Hydra.

The Hydra realized that Jake was still alive and still attacking, so two heads fired at the same time, but Fang was ready this time. He slid out of the way very quickly. The blast slammed into the ground and dug the ground out.

"Keep going, Fang. Don't stop," Jake said.

They kept pushing at full speed and finally, they saw the waves of monsters headed toward them— orcs, ogres, goblins, wolves, minotaurs— all the monsters one could think of.

Jake stood on the back of Fang, and at the right moment, he leaped into the air. "Time to go wild," he said before taking out his spear.

"Raging Tornado!" he roared and threw the spear.

Woosh. Boom!

The spear hit the ground like a tornado, and monsters were immediately thrown all around, the force ripping into their skin and leaving them dead.

Before the notifications could even come in, Jake muted them, leaving only the leveling-up notification.

'Look at this, they call it a trial. I call it an apocalypse. What sort of Chosen system requires this much destruction?' Jake wondered. He landed on the ground, pulled out the spear, and dashed forward.

An orc lunged at him. He dodged to the side and stabbed right through its head, killing it instantly. He pulled out the spear to parry the fist of another orc, and then, using its momentum against it, he drove the spear through its guts and tore it out. Its blood splattered all around, and on Jake's face.

For some reason, the warm blood made his adrenaline rush even more. He spun the spear around.

"Arghhh!" He stabbed into the next orc with striking fluidity.

An ogre came from behind and attacked with its mace. Jake dodged with only one step and used the shaft of the spear and smacked the ogre so hard it was thrown into an orc.

Jake spun the spear and threw it, penetrating the two at the same time. He rushed to pull the spear out, but a two-meter tall black wolf leaped in front of him and lunged at him, teeth opened and ready to snap his head off.

Jake grabbed the wolf by its jaw. The strength in the jaw was powerful, and Jake could barely keep it open, so he used its momentum and slammed it into the ground.

Before the wolf could move, Jake pulled out another spear from his ring and lunged it deep into the head of the wolf.

Jake saw the notification and immediately knew that he had two extra summon slots, so he used one on the wolf.

The wolf rose again as Jake's undead and immediately rushed to rip the orcs apart. Jake pulled out his spear again. More monsters were already rushing toward him.

He was confused when he leveled up twice again, but then he realized that Fang and Crypt were also ripping through the monsters.

Jake smiled. This was going to be a massive economy harvest for him. He rushed toward the monsters. A wolf lunged at him—he planted his feet, spun around, and slashed its head off. He used Rise on it before it could even hit the ground and then lunged at the other monsters.

"Raging Tornado!" he roared and stabbed through, sending monsters flying. He summoned every wolf that died immediately, and they rushed into the fight.

Finally, after more than two dozen monsters, he met with the minotaurs, their axes in hand. Jake rushed toward them, but suddenly out of nowhere, goblins leaped out of every direction.

'What the hell?'

Jake was shocked when he saw this. It seemed like the goblins planned this. He spun the spear and slashed through all of them at once, but as their blood and bodies scattered all around, it created a distraction, making it hard for Jake to see at all.

The minotaurs spread out and flanked him, using the cover.

"They are coming. Pull back now, Master," Drake warned Jake. He immediately retreated. The minotaurs' axes cut through the blood and flying bodies at the same time, hitting where Jake had just been.

'They are definitely planning this out,' Jake thought.
