Chapter 61: Do You Want A Little Sister Or Little Brother?
After Liu Wei opened the Abyss Fang Chain, he was surprised that he seemed to have learned a technique.
He then tried to recall the effects of opening the Abyss Fang Chain in the Blood Demonheart Sutra.
He then mumbled.
"So, it's called Blood Roar Techniques? A qi sound technique, which originates from demonic qi vibrating the throat and lungs, then projecting them outward.
Opening the Abyss Fang Chain will enable me to learn the Stage 1 of the Blood Roar Techniques. The Basic Blood Roar."
From what Liu Wei recalled from the descriptions of the book, which more often than not, he preferred to learn it by discovery, he had to channel his blood qi into his lungs, compressed it, and released it as a guttural roar.
As much as Liu Wei wanted to test it immediately, he wanted to focus on his cultivation.
Hence, he rested his body for three hours, testing the effects of opening the Abyss Fang Chain from time to time.
It was quite difficult to learn it by testing, so he recalled the effects in the Blood Demonheart Sutra's descriptions.
"So, it enhances mental resilience. If that's the case, I will be able to control a bit of my mind once it enters the berserk state."
The Abyss Fang Chain also improved the Killing Calm, reducing the triggers of the berserk state.
After three hours, Liu Wei opened the fourth primary meridian.
It was the Shadow Claw Chain, the meridians located in his right arm, his dominant arm.
The Gates required to open were the Gate of Shadow Claw, which was located on his right hand, and the Gate of the Slaughter Path, which were his upper right limb.
Liu Wei was still successful in opening them.
It was simply because he appeared confident.
As though he was not bothered by the presence of the demon at all.
Once he opened the Shadow Claw Chain, he raised his right arm and opened them.
He could feel the demonic strength to his right arm, veins even began to pop up.
If his ordinary right hand was unable to crush the diamond by his grip, with the Shadow Claw Chain opened, it would be possible.
Furthermore, if Liu Wei swung his right arm with his hand forming a claw, he felt like he could tear through the normal body of the humans.
Just thinking about it made him smile in glee.
Just as he decided to take a rest, the corpses inside the body began to smell rotten.
Liu Wei frowned.
He sighed with a helpless expression.
"I have to turn them into fertilizers. Guess, three hours should suffice."
Despite feeling a bit lazy and taking care of them, Liu Wei still has no choice but to put them all in a single sack.
The sack could only store one body, but by opening his Shadow Claw Chain, Liu Wei beat the body into pulp, until five corpses were forced to be stored.
Bones were broken, even their skull, just to fit them inside.
Afterwards, Liu Wei entered the Agricultural Domain…
…
After three hours, Liu Wei stared at his crops.
He pondered, "I have just harvested them and now in three days, I can harvest more. The storage is already overfull, so I might really have to call the Crown Prince, then. I should begin to list all the things I needed in return."
Liu Wei pondered heavily.
The System interrupted his thoughts, echoing inside his head.
[Aren't you curious? Why did no Crimson Sun Guards, or simply the imperial forces, appear to save you?]
Liu Wei's eyebrows raised.
He shrugged.
"Who knows? The King might have ordered them to stand by."
[Still, they must have known about this. If they can gather so much information in the short span of time, as they hold power, why would they not conclude that those guards, from other nobles under them perhaps, do not have hostile intent?]
"You know." Liu Wei's face turned serious. "There's no need to worry about it, System. I know you are simply curious, or just wanting to warn me. I'm aware. But I can't put my whole attention into it."
The System replied.
[Or simply because they already treat you as a great being, able to trample any enemies that want to harm you.]
Liu Wei smiled.
"Likely."
After their short conversation that occurred in Liu Wei's mind, Liu Wei returned to his seat and continued cultivating…
…
The next primary meridians to be opened were the Ghast Fang Chain.
It was located on his left arm.
The gates needed to be opened were the Gate of the Ghast Fang and the Gate of the Reaper's Thread.
Again, Liu Wei was successful in opening them.
However, from the demon's whisper, it began to annoy him as it was louder and mentioned some names that triggered his trauma.
He simply smiled and tried his best to ignore it.
He was aware of the demon's aim.
It was seemingly warning him that the more primary meridians he opened, the more the demon had awakened…
And jeopardized him.
Even so, Liu Wei was confident in his speculation.
That the more primary meridians he opened, the more the Second Crack would be more tameable.
According to the Blood Demonheart Sutra, only the Stage 2 of its manual would finally tame it.
However…
That would mean decreasing his System Points.
Hence, he already planned that before attaining the peak of the Qi Condensation Stage.
He had already long decided to spend his System Points.
Just thinking about it made him grin.
He waited until the System scolded him, but she was unusually quiet.
Liu Wei shrugged and focused on understanding and testing the effects of opening the Ghast Fang Chain.
In the end, he recalled the descriptions of the effects on the Blood Demonheart Sutra.
Balances left arm's power, increases stability in two-handed weapon techniques and grappling? Two-handed weapon techniques?
Just imagining himself swinging two weapons made him feel exhilarated.
He mumbled, "it's actually not bad."
"What is? Big Brother?"
Liu Wei smiled and glanced at him.
He asked, "Which one do you want, Rhayven? Little Sister or Little Brother?"
