Legendary Librarian System

Chapter 59: Rhayven

The sword wouldn't stop trembling, it also kept communicating with Liu Wei.

Yet Liu Wei was only able to understand a moment later.

"Is it evolving? To a Mystic Treasure rank?"

Liu Wei grasped the hilt tightly, watching the dramatic transformation.

The exquisite blade turned into crimson-black, covered in faint Dao lines, exuding Dao of Fire and Dao of Killing Intent, resembling veins pulsing with molten blood.

"The Dao of Fire should be in the Initial Comprehension level and the Dao of Killing Intent is in the Major Completion level?"

Liu Wei was utterly shocked.

He also admired how the sword seemed to have the same level of comprehension as him.

As the faint Doa lines appeared and expanded, Liu Wei discovered another dao, and again, and again.

Demonic Dao, Blood Dao, and Sword Dao.

At this level, if Liu Wei was not wrong, his sword skipped minor levels in the Mystic Treasure rank and attained the peak instantly.

Liu Wei felt exhilarated.

While waiting for the sword to finish its transformation, Liu Wei was already thinking of what to name it.

However, he has yet to determine its gender.

'I hope it's a boy.'

He felt like if it would be a girl, it would be quite problematic if it developed a personality like the System.

He wanted it to be a boy, so he could have a little brother.

No matter if it's hyper or behave.

As long as it's a boy.

[What kind of gender discrimination is that?]

Liu Wei grinned and said, "It's not gender discrimination, it's gender preference."

[But the reason behind is still a discrimination. Whatever. If I knew you liked boys, I would have taken their voice.]

Liu Wei was taken aback and snorted.

"You mean it romantically, anyway."

Liu Wei shrugged and did not bother with the System anymore.

After all, he knew it would only vex him more.

He waited until the Inferno Dragon Fang Sword finished its transformation.

Suddenly, it erupted with crimson flames, mixed with different Dao, even threatening Liu Wei.

Thankfully, the crimson flames were not harmful to him, as it recognized him as its owner.

The crimson flames expanded and actually engulfed the whole library.

Liu Wei panicked and hastily said, "Calm down. You might burn down the library. We can't let the same thing happen to the Library of Alexandria."

The sword communicated with him and assured it was only devouring the blood essences from the corpses to strengthen itself and finalized its transformation.

Liu Wei heaved a sigh of relief and nodded.

He smiled.

After all, the sword's voice was not neutral anymore.

It finally has its specific gender voice.

Furthermore, it was communicating with him verbally in his mind, not simply just a different level of communication where he would instantly understand the sword without actually communicating with it.

Even he felt strange when he first communicated with the sword, but he eventually got used to it.

That's why he felt a bit new with his communication with the sword, too.

The crimson flames soon returned to the sword.

The sword shone a demonic light, covering the whole library, before eventually fading and returning to normal.

The sword raised the sword and admired its exquisite body.

He caressed its body and said, "You have grown sharper and longer. Now thinner but more durable. You really have evolved. You are so perfect in my grasp."

After all, it was not only the body that underwent transformation, even the hilt, too.

Hence, Liu Wei was over the moon.

The sword communicated with him and said, "Master. I have ascended a higher level thanks to your mastery in Dao of Sword and Dao of Killing Intent. Your Dao of Blood, too."

Liu Wei smiled and nodded.

His Dao of Blood was on the Initial Comprehension Level after mastering the sword techniques.

After all, it was blood-related techniques.

Liu Wei said, "Now that you have evolved, even your flames, I should give you a new name."

The sword replied in an excited tone, "Yes, Master. I'm anticipating it!"

Liu Wei nodded.

Since Liu Wei read a lot of books, he certainly knew how to give a name.

He was about to open his mouth but he closed it immediately after a realization that made him change his mind.

'Bloodbane Inferno Fang is more like an object name rather than a real name. I must not treat him as a sword, but as my little brother.'

Correct, the sword was a boy and calling him Bloodbane Inferno Fang was too long.

Hence, he closed his eyes and pondered about it for a long time.

Since he has still not come up with a name, the System interrupted him.

[You're overthinking it. Just think about it, if you have a little brother and your mother tells you to name him yourself, what comes to your mind? Don't think about the meaning or what. Just think of a name if you see your little brother.]

Liu Wei was stunned.

A name just popped up in his mind after following the System's suggestion.

"Rhayven."

Liu Wei tilted his head sideways.

He felt strange.

The meaning of Rhayven was difficult to find, but the word itself made it seem resonating towards the sword he wanted to treat as his little brother.

As though the very definition of Rhayven is the sword in his grasp.

He smiled.

He replied, 'Thanks, System.'

As he mumbled "Rhayven" earlier, the sword immediately replied in the excited tone, "Rhayven! I like it! Is that my name, Master?"

Liu Wei smiled and nodded.

"Yey!" The sword, or better to call him now, Rhayven erupted in delight.

Crimson flames suffused from his body, dancing around Liu Wei's hand.

Rhayven said in an excited tone, "Thank you, Master!"

Liu Wei quickly shook his head and replied, "Don't call me, Master. Call me Big Brother Liu Wei. Or just Big Brother."

Rhayven's crimson flames swirled and entangled Liu Wei's arm and said, "Yes, Mas—Big Brother Liu Wei!"

Liu Wei smiled.

Finally, he has a little brother.

And that softened his heart.
