Legendary Beast Master: Starting with Contracting SSS Rank Dragon

Chapter 117: Taming Wild Kitty?

Rias acknowledged Kael's orders and left to gather information. As someone who could hide in the Astral World and remain undetected even by powerful artifacts, she was the best person for this job.

Kael knew she might take some time in her mission, so he went back and met his friends at the base of the mountains, where they had already begun to set up a camp according to his instructions.

Landing on a small boulder, Kael turned toward the twins who were resting on the soft grass. Kiona was lying on top of Jon with a careless look on her face.

The moment they noticed him, they stood up—especially Jon, who jumped to his feet, throwing Kiona in the air to her surprise.

She quickly stabilized herself and landed right on Jon and punched his head as she shouted, "You damn lion!"

Kael chuckled, seeing her fierce look, which looked more cute than anything else to him, and turned towards Seth, who was watching everything silently.

He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What happened to you?"

"I let you sleep on my back, and that's how you pay me? Hmph! I don't want a little sister like you," Jon snorted at Kiona and turned towards Kael. "He is probably still thinking about that dance."

Seth lowered his head and said, "Yes, Master. I just can't get it out of my head, and it's still affecting me."

'Is there any solution to it?' Kael asked his little assistant.

[Unless someone with Death Affinity helps, we can't do anything but wait. The dance has left its essence on his soul, and we can't play around with that. Even if you remove the memories of that dance, he would still feel like this.]

'Is the situation that bad?'

[Not really. Our souls are more adaptable than you think, Master. As long as the thing doesn't destroy it in one stroke, the soul can adapt itself to practically everything. Once his soul gets adapted to this essence, it'll just get assimilated with the soul, and he would gain resistance to it.]

'Oh, I guess that's how resistance usually works.'

[Yes. Even your high resistance towards illusions and mind hexes is mostly due to your race being generally used to them. Also, aside from the fact that you are the first Legendary Dragon to be born in the whole world, I don't know anything about your race.]

Kael pursed his lips as he swallowed back his question. This assistant of his was really better at understanding him. She actually guessed what he was going to ask before he even voiced it out.

'I still find it hard to believe that I'm the first ever Legendary Dragon.'

[Well, as you have guessed before, the dragons before were probably born with stronger souls, and those who weren't never managed to reach high enough to evolve into a Legendary Dragon.]

Kael hummed, went towards Seth, and patted his face. "Don't worry. You'll get used to it soon and will also gain some resistance to it. Next time you watch it, you'll probably be completely fine."

Seth nodded in understanding. He was still worried, but Kael's words put his heart at ease.

By then, the two fighting siblings had also calmed down... though why did Jon's face look more red than usual?

Kael shook his head and said, "Let's eat and wait for her."

Kiona's eyes brightened up hearing him, and she quickly took out a few boxes packed with fresh warm food. They were usually kept in Rias's inventory, so their group had nothing to worry about.

After giving the twins their share, Kiona took two shares and went towards Kael before jumping on his lap and making herself comfortable.

Kael also wrapped his hand around her waist to support her while mentally reminding himself that this wasn't the time to mess around.

Her plump butt pressing on his little brother was a very good stimulant, but he kept his focus somewhere else.

Kiona noticed his actions and smirked as a mischievous glint passed through her eyes. She shifted slightly and even let her tail play around with Kael's body.

Kael's grip around her waist tightened as he pulled her towards him. Her back slammed with his hard chest as he leaned forward and whispered in a husky voice, "Don't mess around; otherwise, you'll pay for your actions, Kitty~"

Kiona shivered hearing that and felt her body getting warm, especially her face, and tried to stand up, but Kael's grip on her was tight.

"Just enjoy the meal with me," Kael smiled at her and said. "Also, feed me too. I'm making the food, so this is the least you can do."

Kiona relaxed in his embrace and mixed both of their shares. Then, she enjoyed the warmth coming from his strong hands that gave her a feeling of being protected by the world.

Even if the whole world was standing against her, these strong hands would protect her from everything.

She continued to eat herself and also fed Kael. It was such a wholesome atmosphere that it put their hearts at ease and also filled them with giddiness.

Of course, the twins had long gotten used to their flirting habits, so they didn't even bother looking at them. Who would even look at two people feeding them dog food when they could eat such delicious meals?

"Master, I still don't like being called Kitty, so please don't use that," Kiona pleaded as she put her hands behind to feed Kael, but he not only ate the food but also bit her finger.

She turned around and found him flashing a silly smile at her as he said, "If you mess around, then you also need to suffer the consequences."

Kiona pouted but still continued to stare at his dazzling eyes that seemed to drag her into them for all eternity. Surprisingly, she found herself liking that feeling of being caged in those eyes.

She licked her lips and muttered unconsciously, "For you, I don't mind becoming a kitty, Master."

Kael's eyes widened in surprise hearing that, as he knew how much she hated the word kitty. Even after so long, she still didn't like him calling her that, but he only did it to tease her. She always did that annoying cute face that made him smile.

But now this was different.

Kiona also realised what she had done and felt embarrassment creeping into her heart, but since the arrow was already released, she might as well strike the right target.

She adjusted her mood quickly and flashed a seductive smile that was filled with her deadly charm. "Of course, only someone like you can afford to tame this wild kitty, right, Master?"

She leaned forward, and the distance between their lips was so close they could feel their hot breaths on each other's faces. She whispered in a low devilish voice, "Would you like to tame this wild Kitty, Master~?"

Kael had heard "Master" from her mouth so many times, but this time it sounded so different... so charming and chilling.

He instantly pulled her towards him as their lips crashed against each other, and they fell into a deep, passionate kiss. Their hands roamed around each other's bodies, especially their hair.

Just as they were about to get deep into their passion, they heard a calm voice from which they could clearly sense annoyance.

"You sent me to gather information just so you could flirt with her?"

The two of them instantly pulled away from each other's faces but still kept close. They turned towards the source of the voice and found Rias standing beside them with a clear annoyed expression on her beautiful face.

Kael wasn't fazed at all as he just smiled and asked, "Then, would you like to join us?"

Rias's eyes darkened as she continued to stare at him in silence, but for some reason, Kiona and Kael felt as if someone had put the heaviest mountain on their backs.

The invisible pressure was ridiculous.

Kael coughed and finally separated from Kiona, who also pulled away reluctantly. Then, he cleared his throat once again and crossed his legs to hide something... dangerous that was rising to pierce the heavens.

Now wasn't the time to pierce the heavens—this lady wouldn't allow that.

Rias clicked her tongue and thought, 'I shouldn't have ruined the moment. Why did I even do that? It was so entertaining. Also, why are you hiding it? Show it to me!'

Unaware of her thoughts, Kael asked to change the subject, "So, what did you find out?"

Rias hid her disappointment and said, "It seems your guess was correct. Not everyone among them knows about the Dance of the Dead, and their Tribal Chief has even forbidden the usage of it. I don't think we need to kill them all."

'Of course, we don't. I came here to expand my Empire but not in Genghis Khan's way.' Kael rolled his eyes and asked, "Please continue."

Rias nodded and said, "The most important thing I learned was that their Tribal Chief is dying."
