Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 1762: Foot Bath

Twenty minutes ago, Hayden Caldwell was informed that Olindo Caldwell had something to attend to, and she should leave temporarily to wait at the tea pavilion for a moment.

The Caldwell Family had many issues recently; Hayden wasn't foolish and obediently left as instructed.

However, as she thought it over, she was still a bit worried about her sister.

But just as she was worrying, the man who had turned the Caldwell Family upside down appeared!

"Am I not allowed here?" Julius Reed walked over to Hayden Caldwell, pulling out a chair and sitting down. "I heard you know how to brew tea?"

"Of course I do!"

Hayden Caldwell lifted her head proudly.

"Let me see your skills?" Julius Reed pushed the teapot and cup toward Hayden Caldwell.

Suddenly.

His ear twitched.

Outside, someone was approaching.

It's said that walls have ears, and indeed, the eavesdroppers were right outside the wall.

It must have been because Han Caldwell tipped them off, and those guarding around Olindo Caldwell's villa had now gathered outside the tea pavilion.

Julius Reed contemplated silently.

He could probably guess who was outside.

Besides him, virtually no one else could sense the presence of those outside.

In the Boulevard Caldwell Family, only Han Caldwell and a few Undead Tribe members could do it.

"Brother West Tower, why are you here?" Hayden Caldwell was slightly surprised.

Since their first meeting, it seemed as if she had a complex relationship with this man before her.

It was a relationship born out of conflict.

Just last night, Hayden Caldwell even dreamt of Julius Reed.

At this moment, their gazes met.

Hayden's hand, reaching for hot water, got scalded.

"Hiss..." This spoiled Miss Caldwell, immediately yanked her hand back in pain, a panicked look on her face.

"Give me your hand." Julius Reed unexpectedly pulled Hayden's hand to him.

"Brother West Tower, this..." Hayden wanted to pull back but hesitated.

In her awkwardness, Julius Reed took out some medicinal powder from his pocket and sprinkled it on the burn.

If it were a regular Martial Artist, living on the edge constantly, they wouldn't care.

But Hayden Caldwell, who had never lifted a finger for daily chores, practiced martial arts purely out of boredom.

Her delicate skin surely felt uncomfortable.

Strangely, as the powder touched the burn, the originally inflamed skin returned to its normal color.

A wave of coolness spread, making Hayden feel immensely comfortable.

"So comfortable. Brother West Tower, what is this?" Hayden blinked, utterly shocked by the magical scene.

It was too miraculous!

Outside, Han Caldwell nodded approvingly.

This young man dared to take advantage, touching Hayden's hand, which likely implies he's not some exalted being.

In his mind, a picture formed.

Devlin didn't speak, watching carefully through the surveillance from afar.

Meanwhile, inside the tea house, Hayden was oblivious to the spectators outside.

She thought it was just herself and West Tower inside, so she dropped her reservations.

"I'll brew some tea for you, let you taste my skills." Hayden lifted the teapot, ready to showcase her tea-making.

Drinking tea was a simple matter.

But in this society, the hobbies of the wealthy are ever-varying.

Who knows who invented the tea ceremony, making having tea more time-consuming than cooking a meal.

But it gives some a sense of ceremony.

Moreover, it can be considered an art form.

Admittedly, tea brewed by a skilled master tastes better, but the cost for that extra ten percent deliciousness might require more than ten times the time and expense!

Julius Reed wasn't particular. For him, the tea ceremony was better suited for foot soaking.

Hayden focused intently, determined to showcase her very best tea-making skills.

She imposed strict standards on her actions and the tea's temperature.

It was unclear how much time passed.

Julius Reed might have even gotten sleepy.

Finally, Hayden completed her demonstration.

A cup of tea was placed before Julius Reed.

"Brother West Tower, please!"

The young lady's eyes were full of anticipation.

"Hmm." Julius Reed picked up the cup and drank it all in one go.

He didn't savor it, not even a bit.

Hayden was stunned.

Her carefully crafted tea was gulped down in one gulp?

Tea isn't meant to be drunk like this!

This was wasteful, an affront to delicacy!

"Uh, give me the teapot." Julius shifted in discomfort, seemingly out of habit for his foot-soaking.

"Huh?" Hayden was confused but complied, handing over the teapot.

"Today, I'll show you my tea ceremony." Julius flicked his finger, and a small bead shot out!

It shattered the surveillance equipment!

Then, he slowly took off his shoes, turned sideways, and lifted a foot.

Before Hayden could speak, Julius tilted the teapot, pouring the tea over his foot.

The other teapot caught the overflow.

The temperature and aroma of the tea were perfectly pleasant, enveloping his foot in bliss, entering a state of ultimate relaxation.

"Brother West Tower, you..." Hayden was a bit angry.

The tea she painstakingly made, with such care, such diligence.

Was used for soaking feet?

"Take off." Julius said coolly, his tone brooking no argument!

"I... what are you doing..." Hayden was embarrassed.

She's a young lady; how could she casually remove her shoes?

Besides, she hadn't even settled accounts!

The tea, wasted!

With the surveillance disabled, Devlin couldn't see anything.

He could only sit in the distance, his face dark.

He blamed himself for his lack of skill; if he approached, he'd surely be discovered.

Outside the wall, excitement buzzed amongst Han and others!

Take off?

West Tower telling Hayden to take off, and she sounded angry yet hesitant!

Emperor Charlotte Grey was surprised; this guy was too bold!

Not even married, and he dared act so presumptuous in the tea pavilion?

According to Devlin, if West Tower had close contact with another woman, he couldn't be some noble figure.

After all, nobility should be pure.

"Take it off!"

Inside the tea pavilion, Julius repeated in that undeniable tone.

"Alright... fine..." Hayden inexplicably lost her nerve, obediently slipping off her shoes, revealing two fair little feet.

Julius grabbed the teapot and poured it on her feet!

"No!"

Hayden exclaimed.

The tea felt a bit hot; it was her painstaking effort, after all!

Such waste?

"Ah~" But soon, as the warm sensation wrapped around her ankles, Hayden felt herself melting.

The tea felt like warm jade, undoubtedly enjoyable.

Outside the wall,

Han Caldwell clenched his fist, gritting his teeth in rage!

He resented it!

Had such a treasure as Hayden been defiled?

Emperor Charlotte was even more astonished!

This guy, was too rough!

Alas, their Undead Tribe had no capability to enjoy,

Only able to listen from outside the wall.

"Comfortable?" Julius Reed tilted the teapot inside, maximizing the tea's value.

"Yes, comfortable. West Tower, you're incredible." Hayden's initial anger dissolved instantly.

She'd soaked her feet before, even had foot massages.

But today was her most comfortable day ever.
