Chapter 1756: Prolonging Life
"As expected of the Holy Master, you actually guessed who I am."
A person with an appearance identical to Julius Reed's original face stepped out from behind him.
"Your catchphrase makes it hard not to recognize you." Julius Reed glanced at Pranay Martinez, feeling a bit uneasy.
Fortunately, he was now wearing the mask given to him by Gabriel Abernathy.
Otherwise, it would be no different from looking in a mirror.
"Go ahead, what's your motive?" Julius Reed spoke calmly, saying, "When I was in the cave, I was quite surprised. You, King Kong Bear, and that whole room of people, it's all very strange."
"Strange?" Pranay Martinez was first taken aback, then laughed aloud, "When it comes to strange, who can compare to you? An old monster, living for so long and still not dying."
"You're speaking to the Holy Master now." Julius Reed chuckled and reminded him, "Watch your words, or you might be in danger."
"Want to kill me?" Pranay Martinez wasn't afraid; instead, he chuckled, "You can kill me, but you'd better ask if Hiddy agrees. Holy Master, I think you should be able to guess my identity, you just want to hear me say it myself. But I'm sorry, I've already shown enough respect by not calling myself lord before you."
On a secluded path, the two were half a meter apart, staring at each other.
"Very well, I'll remember you." Julius Reed walked over, patted Pranay Martinez's shoulder, and whispered, "Tell me, how can I get Jesse River out?"
Such a prestigious diviner, trapped in a cave, it's not right.
Julius Reed, loyal and righteous, promised to save Jesse River when he left Town, and he had to make it happen.
"A diviner?" Pranay Martinez thought for a moment, then spoke, "That's fortune. Do you know who the Mountain Lord is? Do you know how many people dream of becoming the Mountain Lord? Do you know how powerful he would be once he steps out of the mountain?"
"Like you?"
Julius Reed had many doubts in his heart.
"Then, do you know how strong I am?" Pranay Martinez asked in return.
"Want to spar?" Julius Reed drew out Yin Yang directly.
"Better ask if Hiddy agrees first." Pranay Martinez squinted his eyes and said in a deep voice, "Someone!"
Just as those words fell!
He vanished into thin air.
Leaving behind only a gust of wind.
Soon after, fast footsteps appeared.
"West Tower!"
It was Brant Fairbanks.
"Dean." Julius Reed turned and nodded slightly.
"West Tower, what are you doing here?"
Brant Fairbanks was conflicted!
This guy was too strong, but he was short-lived because of his own actions.
The most perplexing thing now was how to extract the last bit of value from Julius Reed.
Should he return to the southern border to kill the martial arts master and unify the academy?
Or should he follow Han Caldwell to Demarco Mount and fight Cold Nelson?
Both had their pros and cons.
If he took West Tower back, he'd miss a golden opportunity for Ocean Academy to emerge!
On the Boulevard ring, he made a big splash, taking the prestige and influence of Ocean Academy to an unprecedented peak.
If he seizes this opportunity to expand their influence further, it would make future operations for Ocean Academy much easier.
But if he left, he'd never encounter such a chance again.
Damn it!
If only West Tower could live a bit longer, it seems all problems could be solved.
Man proposes, God disposes!
Brant Fairbanks was a bit upset.
"I'm just wandering around. After all, I just killed someone, there's a bit of Evil Qi." Julius Reed explained.
Brant Fairbanks completely believed this reason.
"We have a grudge with the Caldwell Family, but today, not only did you avenge your master, you also boosted the academy's reputation, and disgusted Han Caldwell quite a bit! Not bad!"
Brant Fairbanks gave a thumbs up, praising him.
"You were injured last time, master will check your body later to see if there's any abnormality."
Recalling the small world he had injected into this boy's body before, Brant Fairbanks was eager to know how much longer he could live.
If the time could be extended a bit, he could try to extend his life, hoping to complete the mission of defeating Demarco Mount, and return to the southern border to eliminate the martial arts master inside the academy, achieving a high degree of unification for the academy.
"Okay. I'll come find you later." Julius Reed nodded and asked, "Anything else?"
"No problem, just take care of yourself." Brant Fairbanks wasn't displeased by his rudeness.
Which expert doesn't have a strange temper?
Julius Reed said no more to Brant Fairbanks and headed towards Gray Wolf Pavilion.
If he's not mistaken, Pranay Martinez should be one of the three people he left behind before losing his memory.
But that person is actually in Hiddy's hands.
Regarding this part of his memory, Julius Reed always felt it was incomplete.
His countless memories were like rivers, lakes, and seas.
Occasionally, a river channel was blocked, and if it wasn't about to pass through, he wouldn't even notice.
But often, it was this small piece of memory that played a decisive role.
As for the mask, it's likely the work of Gabriel Abernathy.
"Hiddy... how many truths do I still not know?" Julius Reed looked up at the sky.
Shook his head silently.
...
The Caldwell Family.
Reception room.
"Father, hold on!" Lucien Radcliffe knelt in front of Devlin's bed, looking at his father's somewhat blackened lips, eyes full of hatred.
"That Kyler Reed, this lifetime, will be an enemy of mine! I will hunt him down and never let him find peace!"
The once simple Lucien Radcliffe, after spending some time with Devlin, had a significant change in character.
He was no longer the pure-hearted girl he once was.
"According to the timetable, Han Caldwell should have arrived." Devlin grasped his fist tightly, pain surging through his body.
"I can't die! My great cause is unfinished, I haven't avenged!"
Devlin shouted in pain.
Both hands gripping the bedboard, he roared in unwillingness!
Back then, out of fear of death, he turned from the Sealing Pulse Vein Holder to a traitorous lapdog.
He took the pill bestowed by the Holy Master, surviving till now!
Now, facing death's threat once more, Devlin was equally frightened!
He didn't want to die!
The door was pushed open.
"Devlin, how are you!" Han Caldwell, accompanied by Lin Zhan and Emperor Charlotte Grey, rushed to the bedside.
Seeing Devlin's black complexion and extreme pain, Han Caldwell was somewhat surprised.
"It truly is a potent poison! If it were a normal person, they would've died long ago." He observed slightly and knew it was poison.
This showed the Vein Holder still had some skill.
To endure till now.
"Han Caldwell, Devlin saved you, and he also saved me. Today, no matter what, he can't die." Lin Zhan spoke directly without any reservations, "If he dies, for us, it's just a loss."
"Indeed." Han Caldwell nodded slightly.
The alliance meeting was smoothly completed, thanks in large part to Devlin.
If Devlin hadn't come out to save the situation, it might have escalated to an unmanageable level.
"Since you both have no objections, neither do I." Although Emperor Charlotte Grey disliked Devlin, even hated him.
But ultimately, Devlin saved him once in Swimming City.
With Han Caldwell's agreement, insisting further would only offend people, serving no purpose.
"Since we all agree, let's not delay!" Han Caldwell gestured, and a servant immediately handed over a bowl.
"I'll explain things to Mr. Sutton later."
With that, he grasped the white bowl with one hand.
From his palm, a white liquid dripped down, falling into the bowl.
