Chapter 1751: Exposed
The sudden arrival of the Funeral Alliance's Funeral Team made the atmosphere at the Caldwell Family alliance meeting extremely eerie.
These martial arts masters seemed completely clueless, like fools, unable to understand the situation at all.
Han Caldwell and Brant Fairbanks each insisted on their version, leaving the martial artists uncertain about who was telling the truth and who was lying.
They could only wait and watch.
But the premise for waiting and watching is that they can still stay alive.
At present, it looks like this group of strange people really doesn't intend to kill them.
"Where's Devlin?" Logan Channing walked around holding a military knife, scrutinizing the people on the high platform.
The mastermind behind Whitaker Dog's death was Devlin.
Logan Channing came here primarily to kill Devlin for revenge on behalf of Whitaker Dog, and to promote the mighty reputation of the Funeral Alliance.
Now that the accomplice Han Caldwell is here, Devlin is nowhere to be found.
Yet no one on the platform responded to her.
"Let me ask simply, where is Devlin?"
Logan Channing walked up to a Caldwell Family martial artist and grabbed his neck with one hand, demanding answers.
"I... don't know... since the alliance meeting began, Mr. Devlin hasn't shown up..." This martial artist was not from the Undead Tribe, but was a Caldwell Family member.
He wasn't lying; Devlin truly hadn't appeared.
"That's really unfortunate."
Crunch!
Logan Channing's fingers exerted force, directly snapping the man's neck.
The remaining people instantly felt a chill run down their spines, consumed by extreme fear!
However, Logan Channing seemed in no hurry to find Devlin but instead walked to the pretender Undead warrior posing as the Holy Master.
Her body slightly leaned forward.
"Holy Master?"
Logan Channing let out a light chuckle.
The smile was actually very beautiful, but when linked to her earlier killing, it only left a sense of horror.
"You... do you know me?" The fake Holy Master was somewhat anxious.
He wasn't certain whether this woman was a friend or foe.
But it seemed more likely she was an enemy.
"Of course, I do." Logan Channing extended a hand to lift the fake Holy Master's chin. "You are the Holy Master, though fallen, surely not this weak?"
"Things are not the same now... a good man no longer mentions his past bravery, any old grievances between us, let's forget them... okay?"
The fake Holy Master wanted to move, wanted to run but couldn't.
He was deprived of any ability, having succumbed to Absolute Dust, rendering him unable to move.
"Those words don't sound like they're from the Holy Master." Logan Channing picked up the fruit knife meant for eating fruit from the table and stabbed it directly into his heart!
Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance, the Funeral Alliance surely knew.
The Holy Master back then was feared far and wide, reigning like a deity.
Seeing him today was an eye-opener for Logan Channing.
Yet seemingly...
The man before her was far from what she imagined.
Would the Holy Master be a cowardly seeker of life?
It's unlikely.
Hence, she struck with the knife to test it out.
However...
The knife plunged directly into the heart.
Yet the Holy Master not only didn't die but kept pleading, "Don't kill me! I'm not the Holy Master! I'm a fake, a substitute!"
Upon hearing this, the martial artists' faces dramatically changed!
They came to Boulevard Mountain not for the Caldwell Family's sake!
But for the Holy Master's call and influence!
If they succeeded in serving the king, everyone would have a share of vast lands and resources in the future.
Yet now, this Holy Master claimed he was a fake?
More eerily, even with a knife in the heart, the Holy Master didn't die?
"Holy Master, do not be afraid! How can you lie because of threats?" Han Caldwell's head was sweating, he shouted loudly, trying to help the fake Holy Master cover up.
If this came to light, the alliance meeting he was hosting wouldn't stand a chance!
On the other hand, Demarco Mount was already prepared to act!
What would Han Caldwell face at that point?
The mission of the Undead Tribe was to rescue the Emperor!
Not to fight for his power and success.
Sutton's side was under immense pressure, which Han Caldwell knew well.
Yet in the face of life and death, human nature tends to crave survival.
This fake Holy Master, accustomed to a life of luxury, could hardly be willing to die.
Though he had no skills, he wasn't foolish.
Even someone as strong as Han Caldwell had been severed of an arm by this woman; how could an ordinary Undead warrior stand against her?
"Did you say you aren't the Holy Master?"
Logan Channing was a bit surprised.
The biggest pillar of Boulevard Mountain was the Holy Master.
But if the Holy Master is fake, how has no one noticed?
Is it possible that among those present, none have ever seen the Holy Master?
"A troublesome fellow." Julius Reed shook his head from his chair.
He calculated all possibilities but didn't anticipate Logan Channing would charge at the Holy Master so recklessly.
If the fake Holy Master is exposed, Han Caldwell will have no support.
Demarco Mount will dominate.
In such a situation, Julius Reed's return trip would be blood-soaked.
Moreover, the resistance would increase considerably.
Wolf Calvary are treasures, best used only in critical times.
The worst scenario would be that all martial arts alliances hear the news, believe the Holy Master truly died, and instead pledge allegiance to Cold Nelson.
If so, Julius Reed's intention to test the alliances' loyalty would truly fail.
"I'm a fake! A substitute! I'm not the real Holy Master!" the fake Holy Master shouted loudly: "I'm with the Undead Tribe, it was Han Caldwell who made me impersonate the Holy Master to deceive you, trick you! Please, spare me..."
Faced with death, there's no room for principles.
This Undead warrior confessed everything directly.
Just hoping to survive.
Logan Channing was stunned.
All martial artists were stunned.
Brant Fairbanks was stunned.
Everyone's eyes were filled with disbelief!
Then came the anger!
They were treated like fools!
"Silence, Holy Master, do not speak nonsense!" Han Caldwell gritted his teeth in hatred, constantly trying to counteract the effects of Absolute Dust to break the deadlock!
"You crafty old fox, you've truly outdone yourself!" On the stage, Whitaker Dog laughed loudly: "You've fooled the whole world! Looks like today, Master Dog must act righteously and end this evil!"
After saying this, he pointed at the martial artists knocked out by Absolute Dust around him: "Once Master Dog kills this group of wretches, don't forget to present me with a banner! If someone dies at your home in the future, remember to contact Master Dog; I'll offer you a twenty percent discount and even throw in a wreath!"
The martial artists were angry yet dared not speak!
What a thing to curse others for dying at home!
"Indeed." On the platform, Logan Channing crossed her arms behind, pointing at the fake Holy Master: "What our Funeral Alliance wants to do is act righteously! Today, I will unmask this fake Holy Master!"
After speaking, she extracted that black military knife.
Seeing the military knife, Han Caldwell's face dramatically changed!
One stab down, the fake Holy Master would inevitably die!
That would completely leave no room for maneuver!
But at that moment!
The fake Holy Master, chair and all, suddenly withdrew violently!
Passing through the huge backdrop, disappearing without a trace.
"Trying to flee?" Logan Channing squinted and rapidly pursued.
Yet as soon as she stepped forward, a figure dashed out from the backdrop!
"Oh, an ambush?" From the earlier contact, Logan Channing had sensed the fake Holy Master's weak force, with no real capability.
When striking, she naturally didn't take it too seriously.
Bang!
Fists collided!
The next moment!
Logan Channing was suddenly sent flying over ten meters away!
Kneeling on the ground with one knee.
She lifted her head, her eyes filled with disbelief.
Poof!
She then spat out a mouthful of blood.
The entire scene fell silent.
