Legally Brunette (Ace Attorney style GameLit)

That's Showbiz!

Mina just stood there with metaphorical stars in her eyes over the appearance of famed brunette starlit, Anne Pathway. She only came to when a pair of fingers angrily snapped in her face, followed by the voice of an angry fan. Or Flan.

"Um exthcuse me?!" Flannery demanded with her retainer back in her mouth. "You were about to make me, your biggest fan, the lead actress in your film!"

Ashley rolled her eyes as Mina continued to grin very widely. "I think another actress is in the lead, for undergrad here. I'm surprised her bowels are still functioning properly!"

Mina shook her head and glared at her girlfriend. "I'm in total control of my facilities. It's just Anne Pathway is here and she wants to be in my film...EEEEEEEE!"

"But, but," Flan sputtered. "I aced the tryouts as the ace attorney! I AM YOU, Mina!"

"Not yet," Mina replied. "First, Anne Pathway must try out. Oh how I loved her in Delilah Disenchantment!"

Ashley continued to smirk as she watched Flan turn bright red. "Pathway isn't the own person who is Disenchanted here."

Flan continued to watch while seething with anger as Anne Pathway mounted the stage. She wasn't even dressed as Mina, but still, the gawky brunette vibes were there and this time they were matched with unlimited star-power as Dark Hideous would say in Galaxy Wars.

Anne Pathway has an absolute poise to her that all of the other contestants were missing. To her, this was just a stroll down Hollywood boulevard. Anne opened her mouth to breath and suddenly, Mina screamed: "Cut! That's a wrap! You have the part!"

"BUT...BUT...BUT..." Flan sputtered. "She didn't even act yet!"

"I agree," Anne Pathway answered. "I didn't even act yet. How do you know I'm the right person to play Mina Hawkins!"

"Because look at you!" Mina said, practically slobbering. "You are the greatest brunette actress there was EVAR!"

Raven whispered to the director. "Poor girl. Doesn't even know about Ruby Harland. Now she was an icon of Old Hollywood and flamboyant men like me!"

Mina turned to Flan with sadness in her eyes. "I am so sorry, Flan. This is a chance of a lifetime. Anne is just so fabulous. Even when she's playing an average girl, she's just AH-MAY-ZING! You can be her understudy, if you want..."

Flan was silent, but the way she shook was like a volcano about to explode in a total meltdown. "No..." she growled. "No. I will be an understudy to NO ONE! Not even some overpaid mediocre hack actress who couldn't even play a good Hatwoman."

She began to stomp away. And as she did, Mina stifled a grasp. She was beginning to realize the mistake she made. She had behaved like an absolutely immature fangirl herself.

"Flan...I'm sorry...I..."

Flan stopped by the door, her face now stained with tears and black mascara. I'm just gonna say this..."

There was an absolutely cold look in Flan's eyes. "Mina, they say never meet your heroes. Well, I say, they should never meet their hardcore fans! You will rue the day you angered me, Mina Hawkins. And when your movie totally bombs, I will buy a direct to DVD copy and throw it in the trash. Just like my hundred posters! I am out of here!"

When Flan slammed the door, Mina and all of her friends stood completely stupified. It seemed Heck had no wrath like a fangirl scorned.

"Well..." Raven said, speaking for everyone. "That was deeply unpleasant. I was sad I didn't have fans until today!"

Director Artie Decor stood up and walked over to Mina. Mina grimaced. She immediately regretted what she had done to her own fan but there was no reset button she could press. She had just lost someone who devoted their life to her. "I can't believe I just did that..." she said to Artie.

Artie Decor nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry to hear, baby. But that's showbiz. Sometimes ya gotta be ruthless! Anyway, it looks like we have our Mina Hawkins! We can close up shop for today."

He walked away, but Mina continued to stand there, troubled but what had happened. Flan the fan's words weren't threats...were they?
