Chapter 162: Harry Vs. Voldemort (2)
November 1994
Hogwarts' Grounds
A grin appeared on Harry's face as he felt his adrenaline pumping through his veins. He stood in anticipation at the incoming attack from Voldemort.
"Harry potter," screeched Voldemort. "You are nothing more than an ant to me."
With his declaration, Voldemort waved his hands and all the different monsters barring the snake rushed towards Harry.
Harry took a wide stance and sliced his wand vertically like a sword. A majestic green beam of light erupted from the wand as it dashed forwards splitting the ground along its way.
It finally collided with one of the humanoid monsters and split that monster vertically into two with ease like a hot knife cutting through butter. The beam continued to traverse further and few more of those creatures were cut into two.
But to the utter surprise of audience, none of the creatures came to a halt and neither did their speed reduce. They continued with the same momentum and in moments their split bodies re-joined themselves back to their prior selves.
"Harry Potter… you cannot defeat them," laughed Voldemort. "Bring something powerful from your arsenal."
Harry grinned in response as he pointed his wand forward and started to weave complex patterns.
As his spell weaving came to an end, white ethereal glow of light erupted from his wand.
"A Patronus?" Voldemort mocked. "Though a powerful spell and will have some effects but will not do any damage."
The formless glow of light in front of the bewildered eyes of everyone started to twist and turn and split into two parts.
A white and powerful magical pulse erupted from the first part as crackling of lightening started to be produced from it. The formless part then transformed into the shape of a majestic bird. The bird was awe inspiring as it floated in the air in front of Harry. Its size easily rivalled the enormous serpent which Voldemort's spell had created from the black mist.
No doubt it was a Patronus but coating the bird around its outline was a cracking powerful lightening element.
Any person close to Harry would have been able to tell that this bird highly resembled Hedwig.
Meanwhile, from the second part, a blue- red coloured magical erupted as scorching hot flames surrounded it. This part of Harry's spell then transformed into shape resembling a horse, though, it was not a horse but a thestral.
The entire body of the thestral along with its large wings and the small horns were emitting blue- red flames. The thestral's size was no small than that of the bird as it stood next to Harry.
Standing between two majestic creatures- an animal and a bird coated with fire and lightening element perfectly, Harry resembled a true ruler.
The mere presence of these two creatures had dispersed the suffocating aura created by Voldemort's spell. The dark lord had his eyes wide open in shock.
He had never imagined Harry Potter to have a spell which would dwarf even his own spell. Even so, considering the inheritances he would have received from being lords of 5 powerful house, it should have not been surprising.
What was surprising, though, was Harry's mastery over such powerful spells.
"The smaller minions won't be enough, Voldemort," Harry's words brought the dark lord from his stupor.
Voldemort snarled in irritation and anger as with another wave from his hand, the enormous serpent rushed towards Harry.
Harry also flickered his arms and the bird and the thestral let out a sharp screech as they also rushed towards the incoming attack.
A loud and earth shattering explosion took place as the attacks from both the sides collided. A powerful magical wave erupted as the result of the collision. If not for the wards protecting everything outside the arena, the entire spectator's stand would have been obliterated into dust. But the arena around the collision had no such protection. The arena devasted as small pieces of stones along with dust and debris erupted obscuring the view of the collision.
The stone pillars on which was Harry had previously stood and was now empty as Minerva and Amelia had moved to the back of the arena was also reduced into dust.
Voldemort had his eyes wide open as he gazed at the result. The dust finally subsided for everyone to see what the dark lord had already felt.
All the black mist creatures and the monsters had vanished into nothingness. Though, the two of Harry's creations had also suffered considerable damage and were on the verge of destruction, they still stood at the centre of arena proudly facing Voldemort.
Harry flickered his arms dispersing his spell as he looked intently towards Voldemort.
"Don't tell me this was the best you had got, Voldemort," Harry said provoking tone. After all, from Voldemort's memories he knew that the dark lord had one final trump card left.
Voldemort let out a deep sigh as he raised his wand for one last showdown.
