Kyudai Genso Academy

Chapter 10: Vs 2nd Year...

As they saw something cruel in the sky, they went out, and more lost balance due to Lightning Bender's pressure aura. The lightning came down and almost hit them. None of them spoke, merely standing in shock at the roar of thunder. Three of them exchanged glances, while only Jin focused on the thunder worriedly. He abruptly charged toward the source of the overwhelming aura he sensed, prompting others to follow his lead.

Jin paused, noticing a girl holding her spear, her eyes glowing white and exuding strong pressure.

"Huh!?" He froze at the sight of someone lying on the ground in a pool of blood.

"Ken!!!!!" Jin shouted, pain evident in his voice as he realized his relative was hurt.

Kenya was on the ground, along with a few other injured boys, all severely weakened from their wounds. Haruto and Kaito were among them, both with serious injuries and diminished power.

"Who are you?" the girl with the spear asked.

Ignoring her, Shinji and Keigo approached Haruto and Kaito to assess their injuries, while Takeru stood protectively nearby, guarding them from the girl.

"Stay out of this if you don't want to get hurt," she warned, raising her spear to point at them.

Takeru's expression tightened upon hearing her words as he called forth his guardian, Ren, the fire guardian, who emerged and positioned himself next to Takeru, glaring at the girl.

"She got thunder," Ren said to Takeru, his gaze fixed on the girl without taking a side.

"What's up with you?" A familiar voice suddenly drew everyone's attention. Kenjuro, who had just run in, arrived. Seeing his twin brother seriously injured filled him with rage as he glared at the girl.

"Wait! We need to discuss this," Shinji interjected, looking at Haruto.

"Can you stay calm if your twin were hurt like that?" Kenjuro shot back at Shinji, gripping his shirt with fury.

The group fell silent for a moment before Jin stood up.

"Souta," he said, his voice serious and measured, his eyes no longer playful.

With the wind guardian, who knew Jin well, he transformed into a katana, exuding a powerful aura. As the Wind Benders released their pressure, the wind should have surged into a storm, but instead, it halted, leaving the area eerily silent under Jin's influence.

The others, overwhelmed by this pressure, lost their balance and knelt on the ground, their expressions reflecting their struggle.

''Hell's Scream''

With his aura power fully activated, Jin moved with remarkable speed toward the spear girl, who staggered slightly, losing her balance under the immense pressure he exerted. He swung his katana at her with precision, but she quickly reacted, blocking his strike and countering with a thrust of her spear.

The two engaged in a rapid exchange of blows, their weapons clashing with a series of sharp sounds that echoed in the air around them.

Not allowing her even a moment to catch her breath, Jin took a quick step back and unleashed a flurry of swift slashes with his katana, each one aimed to overwhelm her defenses. Then, with a burst of energy, he lunged forward again. The spear girl managed to raise her weapon just in time to block his attack, but the force of his strike still left a painful wound on her shoulder, causing her to wince.

Jin's eyes narrowed as he focused on her neck, fully aware that he needed to act decisively and quickly to gain the upper hand. He charged at her, took a deep breath to steady himself, and then leaped over her in a bold maneuver.

As he landed behind her, Jin couldn't help but smirk, savoring the taste of victory as he licked the blood that had dripped from his hand. The spear girl, now visibly shaken, stepped back, her eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.

She bit her lip nervously, stammering out her words in a desperate attempt to defend herself, "What do you want? I'm just following my master's orders!" Her voice trembled as she spoke, revealing her anxiety in the face of Jin's relentless assault.

"Look what you did!" Jin shouted, his voice filled with intensity as he swung his katana at her once more, the blade slicing through the air with deadly intent.

"Look what you did!" Jin shouted, swinging his katana at her again.

But he was intercepted by two newcomers. "Whoa! Calm down!" one of them urged, trying to release the pressure around Jin. However, Takeru, who had been watching, blocked him.

"The one who needs to calm down is you," Takeru said, defending against a boy with a hammer who tried to strike Jin.

Confused gazes were exchanged for a moment before Kenjuro and Keigo rushed in to confront the new arrivals. Keigo and Kenjuro, both wielding katanas, joined Jin and Takeru against the four newcomers. Meanwhile, the spear girl, seriously injured, stood frozen in place.

"Hah!!! Let's play," one of the four said with a sinister smirk.

A few hours ago

The academy proudly boasts not only an impressive traditional-style building that exemplifies classic architecture but also a range of modern amenities, including a convenient mini-mart and an assortment of various shops catering to different needs. Within the campus, there are specially designated areas designed to replicate the feel of contemporary towns. These areas are beautifully illuminated at night, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with numerous shops that offer a wide variety of collections, reminiscent of a bustling tourist town or an energetic pub street. Its name is Hikari Machi.

However, access to this enjoyable and lively environment is restricted; only those students who successfully pass a specific examination are granted entry. Additionally, first-year students face the challenge of achieving a certain rank within their academic pursuits to qualify for the necessary license that allows them to enter these exciting areas.

Three first-year students hide and wait for a chance to enter Hakari Machi. One appears worried, while the other two are excited about their actions.

Haruto, who was worried, asked, ''What if Sensei finds out about this?'' He glanced at Kaito and Kenya, whom he had met at the library and had gotten along with.

Kenya shrugged, a casual smile playing on his lips. "Relax, Haruto. It's not like we're doing anything illegal. We're just trying to have a little fun before finals hit us like a freight train."

Kaito nodded in agreement, his brow furrowing slightly as if considering the potential consequences. "But still, we should be careful. You know how Sensei is about rules. She's not one to let things slide."

Haruto sighed, feeling a strange mix of excitement and anxiety.

A voice suddenly called out, "Hey! What are you doing?" The three turned, startled, to identify the speaker.
