Chapter 47: The Queen Of Combat
The Uchiha training grounds were alive with the soft rustling of the wind against the trees, but the tension in the air was undeniable. A large group of young Uchiha had gathered, murmuring among themselves, drawn to the challenge that had been issued moments ago. At the center of it all stood Mikoto Uchiha, mother of two, wife of the clan head, and an individual who had been long underestimated.
Across from her stood Shisui Uchiha, the famed Shisui of the Body Flicker, and Itachi Uchiha, the young prodigy whose name already carried weight despite his youth. Both stared at her in mild disbelief.
Shisui scratched his head. "Mikoto-sama… are you sure about this?"
Mikoto smirked, her Sharingan spinning lazily. "What's wrong, Shisui? Afraid of an old lady?"
Shisui laughed nervously. "Not afraid, just… well, let's be honest, Mikoto-sama, I don't think Fugaku would be happy if I—"
"Spare me," she interrupted smoothly, rolling her shoulders. "If you two are really as strong as everyone says, then let's find out."
Itachi, standing beside Shisui, regarded his mother with a neutral expression, but there was a glint of curiosity in his deep black eyes. "Mother, why do you need to fight us?"
Mikoto's gaze didn't waver. "Because I need to see if I've surpassed you."
Silence.
Even Sasuke, standing nearby, looked confused. "Surpassed them? Mom, are you feeling okay?"
Mikoto ignored him.
Shisui let out a dramatic sigh, shaking his head. "Alright, alright. But just know I'm holding back."
A soft chuckle left Mikoto's lips. "That's your first mistake."
The second Shisui blinked, she was gone.
A whisper of air rushed past Shisui's ear, and instinct alone made him pivot just in time to see Mikoto standing behind him—her Sharingan burning into his like a scarlet inferno.
His heart lurched. I didn't even see her move.
Reacting instantly, he flickered backward, putting distance between them, but she was already there.
"WHAT?!" Shisui barely managed to block her strike, his kunai clashing against her blade.
Mikoto smirked. "What's wrong? I thought you were the fastest."
Shisui gritted his teeth. He knew the Body Flicker Technique better than anyone—he had honed his speed to near-perfection, to the point where most shinobi thought he was teleporting.
And yet.
She's faster.
His grip on his kunai tightened. "You… you're moving like you're teleporting! That's impossible!"
Mikoto didn't respond. Instead, she vanished again.
Shisui barely had time to turn his head before her foot connected with his ribs.
The impact sent him skidding across the training ground, kicking up dust as he tumbled.
The crowd watching gasped.
Sasuke's jaw nearly hit the floor. "D-Did Mom just blitz Shisui?!"
Itachi's eyes narrowed. "This… isn't normal."
Shisui coughed, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. His Sharingan spun wildly, analyzing her movements.
"I trained for years to master the Body Flicker, but this... this is beyond technique. She's moving like she doesn't obey the same laws as us."
Mikoto gave him a slow, knowing smile. "Ready to stop holding back?"
Shisui took a slow breath. "Yeah. I think I have to."
He blurred into motion, flickering from multiple angles at once, using afterimages and sheer speed to surround her.
But Mikoto didn't even flinch.
And then—she vanished again.
One by one, Shisui's afterimages shattered as Mikoto cut through them like a blade through mist, her movements impossibly precise.
The real Shisui didn't even have time to blink before she was in front of him, her hand inches from his face. As Mikoto voiced a terrifying technique using her three tomo Sharingan.
Genjutsu Style Absolute Nightmare Technique
His vision exploded into a red haze.
And just like that—Shisui was completely trapped.
Shisui found himself standing in an empty, lifeless Konoha, the sky an eerie red.
There was no sound. No chakra signatures.
Only one thing moved.
A bloodied version of himself, stumbling forward, blind and broken.
Shisui staggered back, his mind screaming at him to wake up. This isn't real. This isn't real!
But then the second Shisui turned to him, his blank eye sockets leaking blood.
"Where were you?" the hallucination whispered.
Then, dozens of corpses appeared around him, all wearing the Uchiha crest.
Shisui gasped, stepping back—
Only for the ground beneath him to collapse into darkness.
His screams never left his throat.
In the real world, Shisui hit the ground hard, gasping, his Sharingan wide with terror. He rolled onto his side, gripping his chest.
I was only in there for a second… but it felt like hours.
Mikoto's calm voice drifted to him. "You rely too much on movement, Shisui. That won't work against me."
Shisui stared up at her, stunned.
But he didn't have time to respond.
Because Itachi was already moving.
Itachi didn't waste time.
The moment Shisui was down, he raised a single hand seal.
Mikoto smirked. "Genjutsu already? Expected."
Their Sharingan locked.
Instantly, the world shifted.
Mikoto found herself standing in a burning Uchiha Compound, the bodies of her own clan members scattered around her feet.
Itachi's voice drifted from the flames.
"You are strong, Mother. But this is where your mind breaks."
Mikoto exhaled slowly.
And then she smirked.
Itachi's illusion shattered instantly.
His breath caught. She… broke my Genjutsu? That fast?
Mikoto flickered behind him.
A soft whisper brushed against his ear. "Your illusions are still too weak."
Then she kicked him straight into the dirt.
The crowd erupted into stunned gasps.
Sasuke watched in horror. "Why does she keep doing this?!"
Shisui, still catching his breath, stared in disbelief. "She just… canceled out one of Itachi's highest-level illusions like it was nothing."
Itachi lay on the ground, his breath shallow. He had never lost control before.
But here he was.
Mikoto loomed over him, her Sharingan burning like embers. "You both have so much power, but you waste it following foolish village elders who would never sacrifice anything for you."
Her voice softened slightly. "You're both smarter than that. Act like it."
Neither of them responded.
Sasuke, looking between them, whispered in awe, "Mom's a monster."
Shisui and Itachi sat in the dirt, both mentally and physically wrecked.
Sasuke cautiously walked over to Mikoto, his face full of worry.
"Mom… who taught you to fight like that?"
Mikoto's lips curled slightly. She turned her head toward the village in the distance.
And thought of Raven Kamizuki.
"A very dangerous woman."
Shisui swallowed hard. For the first time in his life… he felt fear.
And Itachi… knew he would never forget this moment. Just like in the future when his mother would show up randomly to beat him up then dissappear like the wind. Saying that he deserves it and he did.
