Kurumi Tokisaki's Planar Journey

Chapter 21: Thugs

"Puff -"

Even though it was a fruit knife, it still easily cut through the man's throat, leaving a nearly three centimeter deep wound!

The man's eyes bulged out, his face full of disbelief. His hands desperately clutched at his neck, instinctively wanting to block the blood. His mouth opened as if he wanted to say something. Unfortunately, the slash Kurumi made had completely cut off his vocal cords!

His neck was like a broken faucet, black and red blood continuously gushing out, scattering all over Rei Miyamoto in front of him!

She was stunned! Her mind was completely blank, allowing the small waterfall of blood to fall on her body, dyeing her beautiful brown hair a sticky black red!

"Plop!"

The tall man finally couldn't hold on to his neck anymore and fell over. His death was brought about by extreme blood loss. Even with modern medicine there was no way of saving him.

So even if he were injured before the Cataclysm, well, let's just say that the doctors would tell his family to wait to collect his corpse.

Oh wait, his family were zombies now, so that wouldn't be necessary.

"Ah, I'm really sorry, big brother. The matter of saving your family is really too troublesome. You should go down and wait for them first. Perhaps they will come to accompany you soon."

There was a vague excitement on Kurumi's face. The expression on her delicate face was somewhat insane, and the smile on the corner of her mouth revealed cruelty and killing intent.

"Gulp."

The sound of saliva being swallowed sounded one after another. Saya Takagi, who was at the side, looked at the man's half-broken neck as black and red blood flowed all over the ground. Her stomach immediately surged, and she ran to the side to get a breath of fresh air.

Takashi Komuro hurriedly ran in front of Rei Miyamoto and shook her shoulders hard. Only then did her eyes start to slowly refocus. Looking at Takashi Komuro in front of her, she only felt a sour feeling at the tip of her nose. She collapsed, lying on his body and crying in pain.

Takashi did not mind the blood on Rei Miyamoto's body. He hugged her and slowly squatted down. His right hand gently patted her back. This was already the greatest comfort he could give.

"Takashi, I am so scared. Don't leave me again."

"Don't worry. I won't ever leave you again."

Saeko Busujima looked at Kurumi, who had a strange smile on his face, and murmured, "She's just like me. She's the same as me..."

The excitement of being the perpetrator stimulated her heart, and it always brought her an unexpected pleasure, just like a drug. Sometimes she teetered on the edge about to fall into it, but she was also afraid, afraid that one day she would truly sink into it...

"What are you waiting for? Zombies are about to surround us. We should go!"

Takashi Komuro and the others heaved a sigh of relief when they heard the seductive tone of Kurumi's voice. At least they had returned to normal, right? When Kurumi was in that state, they couldn't relax.

Kohta Hirano still felt that the sickly beauty was very cute.

Other than feeling a little excited initially, it would be like falling into an abyss when he thought about the future. "It's still better for it to be the normal Senior Sister Tokisaki."

The roars of zombies continued to come closer. Kurumi quickly placed the nozzle of the gas tank on the ground. Then she shoved all the banknotes she had left into it and causing it to leak fuel onto the ground. Soon, a large pool of black appeared on the ground as a pungent smell filled the gas station.

Everyone got into the car. Just as they were about to be surrounded by zombies, Shizuka Marikawa started the school bus. The bus was at full power after being filled with fuel. The engine kept running as it continued to rush towards the bridge!

Kurumi opened the window and took out the lighter she had bought in the supermarket from his pocket. She lit it up and threw it directly into the pool of jet-black gas!

At the gas station, the zombies kept eating the bodies of the dead hooligans while the lighter drew a parabolic path and accurately smashed into the pool of gasoline!

The flames instantly lit up the gasoline, and the flames it produced quickly spread.

Until they reached the underground fuel storage!

"Bang! -"

The sound of an explosion was heard. Even though the school bus had driven far away, it was still deafening! Looking back, they saw zombies that were either directly blown to pieces or ran around in flames. Their funny reactions made people laugh. The corpses fell, one after another until the flames completely stopped.

Burning to ashes and being buried in their hometown could be considered the best possible result. After all, it was difficult to turn back into a human.

Kurumi opened the virtual panel and noticed that the number of hunted zombies had not increased. She was a little disappointed as it seemed like she could not use tricks. She glanced at the stainless steel sword lying on her legs. Did she really have to kill them one by one?

How long would it take to get the "junior hunter" title? She touched the surface of the blade and felt its cold touch on her skin. Kurumi felt like she had a long way to go. She suddenly wanted to be a salted fish. [T\N: This means to live lazily and without ambition]

The school bus kept moving forward, leaving the zombies behind. The road began to become wider, but it did not mean that it was easier to drive. Even Shizuka Marikawa, the "old driver", felt found it extremely difficult!

The wide road was practically blocked. They would run into cars that were on fire from time to time. They could not find any humans amongst the wrecks, only finding zombies wandering around. The sky was getting darker and darker, and the school bus's lights had been turned on. The road ahead was becoming more and more congested.

Seeing this scene, Shizuka Marikawa fiercely turned the steering wheel, and the front of the bus swung to the right. Bang!

It crashed into the sidewalk. The engine was still running smoothly, but Shizuka Marikawa did not dare to drive too fast. The sound of hitting zombies constantly rang out, along with the sound of crushing bicycles and the into pieces of scrap metal!

The people in the car could only firmly hold on to their seats, and it was not a good feeling to swing up and down, but it was better than going down little by little.

Not far ahead, there was a flash of fire and the falling placards that fueled the fire. They were particularly bright in the night sky.

They could vaguely see several figures, the sounds of cursing, crying, and shooting!

Shizuka Marikawa stopped the school bus and turned to ask, "Why don't we take a different route?"

"Are you sure the other roads won't be like this? What if they are more dangerous than this?" Saya Takagi retorted.

"It's too late, and it's dark everywhere, and in these circumstances, it would be even more dangerous. We have to find a place to spend the night. We can't waste any more time now!"

"It seems like it's too late." Kurumi looked at the thugs in the distance who had begun to pay attention to their small bus. They were walking toward the school bus with guns in their hands. Kurumi narrowed her eyes, one of them had a shotgun!

"Teacher Marikawa, just rush over!"

Hearing Kurumi's shout, Shizuka Marikawa no longer hesitated. She pushed the peddle to the metal, and the school bus rushed madly towards the group of people!

Buzz ---

The engine ran to the extreme, and to the humans in front of it, it was like a steel beast, scaring the group of people into hurriedly dodging to the side.

"Damn, is this driver crazy? Shoot it! Shoot their tires!"

A bald leader with a large tattoo on his neck shouted. The hooligans could not control their violent desires and shot their guns at the school bus.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Several shots hit the side of the school bus, even causing some glass to be shattered. Saya Takagi, who was sitting by the window, screamed in fear.

"Why did they attack us? We are not zombies!" Rei Miyamoto was a little frightened. She had just escaped death, and now she was caught in a gunfight, which made her, a high school student who was usually a good person, collapse in fear.

"They are no longer human! They are dominated by their cruel desires. Sometimes, they are far more terrifying than those zombies!"

Kurumi was also squatting in the carriage. For now, her body could not withstand the bullets.

They had to hurry. Otherwise, they would not be able to see the sun tomorrow!
