"Who are you?" Takuji asked, grimacing in pain. Kiyoshi tipped his hat back, a smile playing on his lips as he looked at Takuji. "Your shadow nightmare," he answered.

"You think I'm scared of you? I remember the first time we met and how easily I defeated you," Takuji retorted, smirking.

Kiyoshi shrugged off his cloak and hat nonchalantly. "That was the old Kiyoshi you fought against once upon a time. The man standing before you now is the new Kiyoshi."

"No matter who you are now, your fate is sealed," Takuji declared confidently, still in his Spirit Guardian form.

Jax and Tokido watched with surprise as they felt an increase in Kiyoshi's aura level since they last saw him. "How did he become so powerful?" Jax wondered aloud to Tokido.

"It seems like he trained independently, and it has certainly paid off," Tokido replied.

Before the fight began, Kiyoshi glanced around at the sparse crowd outside the ring. He asked urgently, "Where are the others?"

"They've been defeated and sent to meet their end among the stars - just like where you're headed." Takuji sneered as he lunged at him with a punch.

Without even looking at Takuji, Kiyoshi dodged his attack and landed a back fist that sent him sprawling on the ground in disbelief.

"But...how?" He stammered as he picked himself up from the ground. Yoji’s confident smirk faded into surprise; killing this fighter was going to be more difficult than before.

Takuji charged again but was stopped when Kiyoshi stepped on his foot while effortlessly dodging his swing. All this while carrying on a conversation with Jax and Tokido.

"What happened to everyone else?" Kiyoshi asked.

"Unfortunately, they were killed and sent to the afterlife," Jax replied, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. This news sparked a rare display of anger from Kiyoshi. His purple aura flared up, and his eyes took on a red glow.

Takuji felt the surge in Kiyoshi's power level. "This is not good for me at all," he muttered as he struggled to free his foot from under Kiyoshi's boot.

Yoji sensed the drastic increase in Kiyoshi's power too. He yelled at Takuji, "Brother, you need to retreat or you'll die! He's more powerful than before!"

"Nonsense, Yoji! He is still weaker compared to me!" Takuji retorted defiantly. He leaped back and launched a solid blood ice beam towards Kiyoshi who retaliated with his super move.

"Super Move: Shadow Roar Blast!" Kiyoshi roared as he unleashed a purple blast towards Takuji. The two attacks clashed mid-air in a struggle of power. Initially, it seemed like Takuji was winning but then the tide turned in favor of Kiyoshi when Takuji started running low on stamina.

The purple beam got bigger with a roar from Kiyoshi and shot through Takuji’s body leaving nothing behind but an echoing scream.

"You're next!" Kiyoshi declared looking at Yoji who had jumped into the ring now.

"You were the mastermind behind all this; I can never forgive you," said Kiyoshi as he prepared himself for another fight.

"I'm not seeking your forgiveness; I'm seeking vengeance against this world that has tarnished my family’s name," Yoji retorted as he powered up his black aura and formed two black ice cubes around his fists to match two purple shadow aura around Kiyoshi's fists.

"This is for team Checkmate!" Kiyoshi yelled as he launched into a sixteen-piece shadow combo involving powerful punches and kicks. However, Yoji had activated his Kordorian, a set of powerful eyes that decrease blast attacks and special moves powers.

Yoji began to laugh. "Are you going to do something meaningful to me? Because if I was your friend, I would be very disappointed in you," he taunted.

This only served to fuel Kiyoshi's anger further. His aura grew even larger as he transformed into Kitaro. "Finally, a fair fight," Yoji acknowledged.

Kiyoshi rushed towards Yoji with a shadow punch that landed squarely on Yoji’s face. He then jumped on Yoji and declared, “This is for Lionel and Felix."

"Ultimate Move: Shadow Psycho Shredder!" He roared as his holographic purple claws grew larger in size than ever before. He ripped through Yoji’s gi and skin but found him laughing despite the onslaught.

Yoji kicked Kiyoshi off and let out a black ice blast that sent him flying a few yards away.

"You actually thought I would let you scratch me all fight? You have to earn the right to damage me," said Yoji with a smirk.

Kiyoshi got up quickly, dusted himself off and formed two shadow figure ki balls in both palms which he threw at Yoji while charging towards him. He punched one ball into Yoji’s face point-blank then caught the other ball and slammed it into his chest.

Twin explosions erupted, each at a different time. Yoji was caught in the blast, his gi torn and blood seeping from his wounds. "For the first time in years, someone has made me bleed. I can finally rest easy now," Yoji laughed, as both of his arms transformed into solid black ice. He charged towards Kiyoshi with a double swing. The first strike connected with Kiyoshi's jaw; the second found Kiyoshi’s gut. Then Yoji's leg morphed into solid black ice and he kicked Kiyoshi in the head.

Kiyoshi managed to grab Yoji’s leg mid-kick and attempted to slam him into the ground. However, Yoji countered with a leg wrap and hurled him down instead. A cloud of dust billowed up as Kiyoshi hit the ground hard.

"I think that is enough for him," said Yoji, turning his attention to Jax and Tokido. But before he could engage them, Kiyoshi sprang up immediately, his fist shimmering with shadow energy once more.

Kiyoshi launched several punches at him but Yoji easily read his movements and retaliated with a backfist to the head and an icy blast from his other hand. Kiyoshi was sent sprawling onto rocks.

Yoji slowly approached Kiyoshi, asking if he had had enough because it didn't look like he was winning this fight. Lifting Kiyoshi by his collar, he examined him closely. "A shadow tiger? You put up a good fight against me but I doubt you would fare well against my brother." With that said, he tossed Kiyoshi aside where he landed on a pile of crushed rocks.

"Now that we've got that out of the way," said Yoji looking at Jax and Tokido again, "I'd like to finish our rematch."

"You're very impatient," replied Tokido, pointing behind Yoji. Turning around, Yoji saw Kiyoshi charging at him with a massive purple energy blast.

"I'm not going down that easily!" Kiyoshi yelled as he launched his attack. In response, Yoji's black aura flared up and his body began to transform into his spirit guardian.

"You should've played dead and let the real fighters fight. I am Charcoal, the Black Ice Kirin!" Yoji shouted back. His grin widened as Kiyoshi's attacks fizzled out and he watched in awe of Yoji's transformation.

"You've improved since we last fought," said Yoji with an evil laugh, "I'll give you credit for surviving long enough to see my spirit guardian form. Your prize will be death."

His transformation completed, Yoji's body was pitch-black with two Kirin horns atop his head.

"I'm running out of energy fast; my next special move has to count," Kiyoshi muttered to himself before shouting out his ultimate move: "True Shadows of Roar Sphere Blast!" He quickly transformed into Kitaro for extra power.

"He learned an ultimate move during his secret training!?" Jax exclaimed in surprise as the largest purple blast ever seen from Kiyoshi shot towards Yoji who just laughed it off and allowed it to hit him directly.

Kiyoshi put all his might into that blast causing Yoji’s body to evaporate. Then the blast disappeared leaving only a fallen Yoji with purple smoke wafting off his body.

"I did it! I defeated the strongest fighter ever! I saved the island!" Kiyoshi yelled triumphantly as he collapsed onto the ground. Jax and Tokido rushed over to congratulate him but they froze when they saw Yoji slowly getting up again, holes riddled through his gi like Swiss cheese and one of his horns broken off.

Yelling another champion move, Yoji aimed a blast at Kiyoshi, Jax, and Tokido. While Jax and Tokido managed to dodge, Kiyoshi was hit directly and his body disintegrated before their eyes.

Jax sat there in shock, his face pale as he stared at the spot where Kiyoshi once stood. "You celebrated too early; that was his downfall," Yoji laughed cruelly.

"I really hate his prizes," muttered Tokido before Yoji launched another attack at them. This time, however, Tokido managed to pull Jax out of the blast range.

"He just killed all of my friends," said Jax through tears. "I know it's a terrible feeling but we can't let that stop us from defeating him," replied Tokido.

"I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Kiyoshi," said Jax with an angry look on his face.

Jax's eyes transformed into Mitsukodorian mode, then shifted into Tethyus. Tokido followed suit, but morphed into Strix instead. "Two against one doesn't seem fair," Yoji taunted, "but I've faced you both before, so it shouldn't be a problem." Jax and Tokido charged at Yoji in unison. They tried to coordinate their attacks on Yoji, but he evaded everything they threw at him. He smacked Jax away and kicked Tokido to the ground.

Undeterred, Jax landed a lightning punch on Yoji's face. Stunned, Yoji twirled to the ground. But Jax didn't stop there; he unleashed a lightning gale pulse on Yoji. Dodging by rolling away and retaliating with a black ice beam, Yoji managed to hit Jax and blast him away.

While Yoji was focused on Jax, Tokido seized the opportunity to sneak up behind him. He grabbed Yoji and delivered several ghost lighting punches to his gut before unleashing a ghost lightning cannon. A massive explosion erupted midair.

But that wasn't enough because Yoji responded with his special move as well. It connected with Tokido who fell over too.

Meanwhile, Jax was launching more lighting punches at Yoji who countered with his Black ice punches. From afar, Tokido watched the spectacle of blue and black lights clashing in the sky like an intense light show.

Suddenly both combatants connected punches and fell from the sky together. As they descended towards the ground, Yoji attempted a black ice horn attack in midair only for Tokido to intercept it with his ghost lighting attack causing another massive explosion.

Regaining balance mid-fall, Jax slipped past Tokido and landed an upward lightning kick onto Yoji’s gut while Tokido followed up with a ghost lightning kick to Yoji’s jaw. Yoji crashed hard on the ground.

"Family Move: Ghost Lightning Gale Cannon!" Jax and Tokido yelled in unison as they combined their special moves. The blast went straight towards Yoji, causing a huge explosion upon impact.

"I told you two against one isn't fair," Yoji retorted as he hurled multiple black icicles at them, causing another massive explosion. Both Tokido and Jax were sent crashing into a pile of large rocks with Jax getting trapped between them.

"Now I have the chance to use my special move, Champion Move: Royal Black Frigid Horn Blast!" Yoji declared triumphantly. The same blast that had previously hit Kiyoshi was now heading straight for Jax who struggled to free himself while raising his guard in an attempt to block the attack.

"Brother!" Tokido cried out as he rushed towards the incoming blast. In the nick of time, he threw himself in front of Jax and managed to absorb most of the impact with his guard but it wasn't enough. The powerful blast broke through his defenses, disintegrating him completely and freeing Jax's trapped arm in process.

"Nooooooo!" Jax cried out in agony while watching his brother's body disintegrate just like Kiyoshi’s body had earlier. A vicious laugh echoed from Yoji as he limped towards the injured Jax, gloating about his victory and future plans for world domination under his family's rule.

As Yoji approached him, still talking about revenge against their family rivalry that dated back generations, Jax quickly replaced his father’s eye with Tokido’s eye which he still held in his hand.

“Sweet dreams Mitsuko,” taunted Yoji as he prepared to deliver a final blow with Super Move: Black Ice Horn strike!

But before he could land it, Jax retaliated with Champion Move: Perfect Ghost Blue Lighting Gale Cannon! The powerful blast sent Yoji's body disintegrating into the space orbit.

"That was for my family and friends," Jax managed to laugh despite the pain.
