Konoha: Uchiha's Two-Way Travel in One Piece

Chapter 36: Uchiha Hidden Scheme

-----

"Naturally!"

Uchiha Jiri nodded affirmatively, pointing at herself as she explained, "This idea came to me after reflecting on my recovery this time, combined with an ancient legend."

"In the past, I never took it seriously, nor did I believe it. But after being healed by Kaito, my body not only recovered but even saw enhancements to my life force and vitality."

She paused, then continued, "I noticed that under the influence of this enhanced vitality and physique, my damaged left eye began to heal and recover."

"Even without the eye-nurturing medicine Kaito created, the effects were clear. Remarkably, my blind right eye is also showing signs of regeneration and awakening under this strengthened condition."

"This proves that a robust and vital body can greatly benefit the Sharingan, doesn't it?"

"If someone were to possess both the Sharingan and the Sage Body, perhaps they could not only awaken the Sharingan more easily but also activate the Mangekyō Sharingan with less difficulty. Furthermore, thanks to the enhanced vitality and physique, their Mangekyō Sharingan might recover naturally from overuse."

"With this in mind, I propose that our three clans form alliances through marriage. What are your thoughts?"

This reasoning was only part of her motivation. Jiri also wanted to explore whether the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan could be achieved without relying on merging siblings' eyes.

If successful, this would elevate the Uchiha's future prospects and prevent the grim necessity of family members sacrificing their eyes for power. It would break the infamous Uchiha curse, ensuring that internal conflicts over eyes would never happen again.

And, if by chance, this method could lead to the birth of descendants with the Rinnegan, all the better.

However, Uchiha Jiri knew that this goal was difficult to achieve. Madara had awakened the Rinnegan only because he was the reincarnation of Indra and had fused with the DNA of Asura's reincarnation, Hashirama Senju.

For an ordinary Sage Body and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan to awaken the Rinnegan was unlikely.

Even Kaito wasn't certain if Indra's and Asura's chakra were the only necessities for unlocking the Rinnegan.

"Is that so?" Uzumaki Mito nodded thoughtfully. "It's feasible, but there's a concern. If a child born from an alliance between the Senju or Uzumaki and the Uchiha awakens the Sharingan, what happens? Surely, you wouldn't have them return to the Uchiha and change their surname?"

"Conversely, if a Uchiha-born child were to awaken traits of the Senju or Uzumaki, such as the Sage Body, would they be sent back to the Senju or Uzumaki clans?"

"We need a clear plan to address these potential issues."

Not sending children back to their respective clans could create complications. Over time, Sharingan would no longer be exclusive to the Uchiha, and traits like the Sage Body, Adamantine Sealing Chains, or Kagura's Mind's Eye would no longer belong solely to the Senju or Uzumaki clans.

Such matters, tied to bloodline inheritance, were undoubtedly complex.

"The child belongs to the clan where they are born," Jiri declared without hesitation. "I believe that by then, the bonds between the three clans will be close enough to eliminate resentment and barriers, fostering genuine peace. Don't you agree?"

After all, they'd all be serving under her son's future empire.

"Alright, it's settled then," Mito agreed, though she knew Jiri likely had additional schemes in mind. Regardless, the Senju and Uzumaki clans stood to benefit.

Moreover, the Uzumaki needed Uchiha's help to protect themselves, so Mito nodded in agreement.

"However," Mito added, "marriage alliances shouldn't be forced. We can organize regular matchmaking events between the three clans, allowing younger generations to choose their partners. As long as the number of marriages is balanced between clans, that should suffice. What do you think?"

"That's acceptable," Jiri replied. "I wouldn't want too many Uchiha women marrying out, after all. Who doesn't know that the Uchiha are blessed with handsome men and beautiful women?"

"When you've decided on the rescue operation, just inform me in advance. I'll send people to assist you."

"Agreed," Mito replied, exhaling in relief. With the Uchiha's involvement, along with the strength of the Senju and Uzumaki, they could repel even a combined assault from the four major ninja villages and safely escort the Uzumaki clan to Konoha.

Later, Mito and Jiri continued chatting, while Tsunade engaged Kaito in a lively discussion about medical techniques.

At midday, Mito hosted a meal for Jiri's group, and after parting ways, word of the meeting quickly reached Sarutobi Hiruzen. He rushed to Mito's residence, though Danzo and his group didn't dare to follow, fearing repercussions.

The moment Hiruzen entered, he sensed that Mito's once-dwindling life force had been restored, even doubled. This realization unsettled him.

Though uneasy, he masked his feelings with curiosity and respect. "Lady Mito, how did the discussion go? There won't be any trouble from the Uchiha, will there? And… has your life force recovered? Was it Jiri's doing?"

"Indeed," Mito confirmed. "I've struck a deal with Jiri. She helped restore my vitality, granting me a few more years of life. In return, I provided her with the Flying Thunder God technique, Tobirama's Water Release jutsu, and some basic to intermediate sealing techniques."

"Additionally, her son, Uchiha Kaito, will become Tsunade's apprentice."

These terms couldn't be hidden, so Mito spoke openly.

As for Sarutobi's objections? He'd just have to swallow them.

"What?!" Hiruzen's face twisted. "The Flying Thunder God technique, Tobirama-sensei's Water Release jutsu, and sealing techniques? And she's even having her son study under Tsunade? What is Jiri planning? Does she have her sights on the Hokage seat? Besides, wasn't her son born with severe health issues, incapable of becoming a ninja?"

"He's fully recovered," Mito replied. "If Jiri could restore her own grievous injuries, why wouldn't she be able to heal her son?"

Hiruzen's brows furrowed. "So, Jiri is entirely healed?"

"That's right," Mito nodded. "Not just her body—her remaining Sharingan has fully recovered as well. So, I advise against provoking her. Even in my current state, I may not be her match."

Of course, this was a lie. Mito's fully restored vitality meant she was on par with Jiri, but she couldn't let that be known.
