Konoha: Uchiha's Two-Way Travel in One Piece

Chapter 21: Uchiha Jiri's Domination Over the Clan

-----

"This technique is amazing! I can feel my ability to digest and absorb energy has improved tremendously during training!"

Mikoto exclaimed in awe after completing a round of the Longevity cultivation technique.

She felt a slight but noticeable enhancement in her physical constitution, vitality, and even her chakra.

At this rate, she couldn't even imagine how strong she might become in the future—how quickly she would grow.

And all of this was thanks to Kaito.

Thinking of this, Mikoto's eyes sparkled as she looked at him, her voice filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Kaito!"

"No worries!"

Kaito waved his hand with a cheerful smile. "You're the one who reached the level of affection needed for me to contract with you. Otherwise, even I couldn't have made it happen."

Hearing him mention her level of affection, Mikoto couldn't help but blush as she glanced at his increasingly handsome face. Embarrassed, she turned her head slightly to avoid his gaze.

"Affection level or whatever, don't misunderstand. We're just...like a family, aren't we?" she murmured shyly.

"Oh?"

Kaito smirked, noticing her awkward attempt to cover her true feelings. "What misunderstanding? That you like me?"

"Kaito!!!"

Mikoto's face turned beet red. She stomped her foot, glared at him in frustration, and dashed out of the training room. She hurried out of Kureha's house and into the snowy outdoors.

But as soon as she stepped outside, she was captivated by the snowy landscape.

Kaito followed at a leisurely pace, watching Mikoto rub her hands together to keep warm as she admired the scenery. With a thought, he retrieved a thick cloak from the Space-Time Gate and draped it over her shoulders.

As she shyly peeked at him from the corner of her eye, he gazed at the snow-covered horizon and said, "Beautiful, isn't it? I bet Konoha doesn't have such snow in winter, does it?"

"Mm," Mikoto nodded, exhaling a warm breath into her hands to steady herself. "Konoha is relatively warm. Even in winter, there's only a light layer of snow, and it doesn't last long."

She paused, looking thoughtful. "Besides, Konoha is in summer right now. Yet here, it's winter. So the seasons between our worlds are different?"

"Not exactly," Kaito corrected with a shake of his head. "It's even more unique. We're on Drum Island, a Winter Island."

"Winter Island?" Mikoto repeated, startled.

"That's right. It's winter here all year round. There are no other seasons," he explained.

"Really?!" Mikoto was incredulous. "A place that's perpetually in winter? Isn't that too cold and monotonous? Is the rest of the Pirate World like this?"

Everything she'd encountered today was beyond imagination.

She had come to visit her aunt for a meal, only to end up in another world full of wonders.

It made sense why her aunt and Kaito had been so busy recently—they were handling matters here.

Kaito awakening such a power was nothing short of miraculous.

"Uh… seems like you haven't fully processed the information I passed to you. It includes a lot about this," Kaito said, shaking his head in mild exasperation.

"Really? Let me check again!" Mikoto quickly reviewed the information in her memory.

After a while, she looked sheepishly at him, sticking out her tongue playfully. "Oops, you're right. I missed it!"

"There's just so much information to go through; I didn't have time to digest it all. I'll make sure to study it carefully later!"

"I didn't realize this world has Winter Islands, Spring Islands, Summer Islands, Autumn Islands, Thunder Islands… and so many other fascinating climates and landscapes. It's far more interesting than the Shinobi World!"

"And this world is so huge!"

"In comparison, the Shinobi World feels tiny."

She mused that the landmass of the Shinobi World might only be comparable to four or five Alabastas.

And the Pirate World's total landmass, not even counting its vast oceans, could easily exceed hundreds of Alabastas.

"More or less," Kaito agreed. "The Shinobi World wasn't always this small. It used to be larger, especially in terms of fertile, life-filled lands. The God Tree had a significant impact on this."

"The God Tree? What's that?" Mikoto asked, puzzled.

"Nothing you need to worry about for now," Kaito said, cutting off the topic. "When the time is right, I'll tell you."

Mikoto wasn't his mother, so knowing too much wouldn't benefit her at the moment.

"Alright," Mikoto replied, though she made a mental note to revisit this topic later when she could learn more from him.

"Come on, let's head back. It's too cold out here—you might catch a cold."

After taking in the view a bit longer, Kaito led Mikoto back to the training room to continue her cultivation.

Back in the Shinobi World, in Konoha:

After discussing the Uchiha clan's reform plans with Kaito, Uchiha Jiri immediately convened a clan meeting.

She outlined the agreed-upon changes and temporarily presented them as her own initiative, knowing that Kaito's young age might cause resistance if the plans were attributed to him.

Once she finished explaining the reforms, Jiri surveyed the gathered clansmen and declared, "If anyone has objections, speak now. But if you try to undermine me after we finalize this, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

As she spoke, Jiri's restrained aura suddenly erupted with full force. Her both eyes activated the Mangekyo Sharingan, emitting an oppressive wave of power.

"Woom!"

The terrifying aura, amplified by his potent eye powers, pressed down on everyone in the room.

The Uchiha present felt an overwhelming weight on their bodies, making it difficult to lift their heads or even breathe properly. Their Sharingan deactivated involuntarily.

"Impossible!"

The clan elders gasped, their faces pale with shock.

"Lord Jiri… Your body has recovered? Your eye powers are back to their peak?" the Third Elder stammered in disbelief.

Others exchanged astonished glances, their minds racing.

They had never heard of Mangekyo Sharingan powers being fully restored.

The rest of the meeting went on under Jiri's ironclad authority, leaving no room for dissent.
