Chapter 8: ch8
Finally, after sending Might Dai away, Sam thought he could finally have a good sleep, but Minato Namikaze walked over.
"Might Dai is really energetic, and you two are complete opposites," Minato said with a smile, looking at Might Dai's back.
Sam waved his hand indifferently. "It doesn't matter what kind of vitality it is."
"The ninja world is so scary; I just want to earn some money and come back to Konoha to live a good life."
Minato had his hands in his pockets, and he always had a faint smile on his face. "It's like something you would say."
He looked at the podium, and many students had already seen his name, like Might Dai, who was yelling and complaining about not being able to be with Sam.
Sam's face darkened. This guy called himself very much like those sad women. It made him feel a chill.
Minato laughed when he saw it.
"Speaking of which, don't you care who your teammates will be?" Minato asked seriously.
After all, reliable teammates and reliable team leaders are essential for rookies like them to survive on the battlefield.
Sam shook his head, saying it didn't matter. If it was him before, he might be worried, but the Light Fruit he drew last night has given him the confidence to face danger.
The big deal is to leave his teammates and run away when in danger. But presumably, the Third Hokage would not have assigned such a dangerous task from the very beginning.
With Six Forms and Light Fruit by his side, safety is still guaranteed.
"You are so relaxed," Minato said.
Hearing this, Sam just wanted to say something when he saw Christina rushing towards them in a hurry. She pressed heavily on the table with both hands, almost overturning it with the force.
"Minato! Sam!"
"We are teammates!" Christina announced.
Minato was overwhelmed by Christina's aura and didn't know what to say for a moment. He had to stammer and say, "Yes...Really? That's great."
Christina's eyes instantly became dangerous. She looked at Minato coldly: "What's the matter? Did you not want to be on my team?"
"No, no...." Minato hastily denied it.
Sam on the side raised his eyebrows. He didn't expect that he would be assigned to Minato and Christina. One is the Nine Tails Jinchūriki, and the other is the future Fourth Hokage.
He sighed faintly. I'll continue with my laid-back attitude. But with these two, there is a little guarantee in terms of safety. After all, as a Jinchūriki, even if he goes out to perform tasks, he should be accompanied by Anbu. Anyway, Minato is still here.
As for himself, he can only manage some minor tasks, like playing a supporting role.
In order to change the subject, Minato hurriedly asked, "Who is that, Christina, our lead Jōnin?"
Hearing this question, Christina finally let Minato go. She snorted coldly and said, "It's Jiraiya."
"Master Jiraiya?" Minato's eyes lit up instantly.
Since the Second Ninja World War, the name of the Konoha Sannin has been known to everyone. Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Tsunade are regarded as idols by countless students. Minato is certainly no exception.
So Minato was very excited to hear that Jiraiya would be their mentor for Jōnin. Not only Minato, but other students around also showed expressions of envy and admiration.
Becoming a student of Jiraiya, isn't that the disciple of the Third Hokage? Rounding off, it will be my turn to be Hokage in a few years.
Only Christina seemed a bit torn.
"What's the matter, isn't it good to have Jiraiya-sama as the teacher?" Minato asked suspiciously. This should be something that everyone dreams of.
Christina hesitated, then whispered, "I heard that Jiraiya-sama often goes to the women's bathhouse to peek at others taking a bath."
"Cough cough cough!!" Minato hastily interrupted Christina's words. "Don't talk nonsense!"
Christina pouted, a little disdainful.
Sam grinned from ear to ear. Unexpectedly, Jiraiya's lustful reputation has spread since then.
After chatting for a while, Minato checked the time. "It's almost time, shall we gather together?"
Of course, Sam had no problem, he followed the two of them slowly with his hands on his pillow.
"Sam, you look so unmotivated, no girl will like you," Christina complained.
Sam glanced at her through his dark glasses. "Girls are horrible creatures."
"What did you say?" Christina, who was becoming irritated, got angry instantly and threw a punch at Sam. Fortunately, the latter had been prepared for a long time and used a [Shaved] technique to flash away.
"I just said, girls are scary."
"Stop!" Minato patted his forehead helplessly. These two guys are really....
