Konoha: I'm Sasuke, lighting emperor

Chapter 15: Chapter 15 The Crisis Resolved By A Bento

At that moment, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Hiruzen all watched in disbelief as the kunai approached Sasuke, ready to strike. The tension was high as they wondered why Kakashi, their esteemed Jōnin teacher, would be so merciless during what was supposed to be a simple test. It seemed like he was deliberately trying to kill Sasuke.

Both Naruto and Sakura were at a loss for words. They couldn't understand why Kakashi was pushing Sasuke to the brink of death. It felt like Kakashi was forcing Sasuke to unleash his Lightning Style ninjutsu, but Sasuke was determined not to use it unless absolutely necessary. He didn't want to reveal his full potential during a mere test, especially if it meant drawing unwanted attention and trouble.

Suddenly, a brilliant flash of lightning illuminated the scene, momentarily blinding everyone. The sound of thunder reverberated through the air. In his Hokage office, Hiruzen stood up and watched the lightning in a crystal ball. He confirmed that it was indeed Lightning Style Chakra Mode.

But in the next moment, the light vanished, and Sasuke, paralyzed by the lightning, fell from the air. However, to everyone's surprise, Kakashi grabbed Sasuke's hand and restrained him, preventing any movement. It turned out that Kakashi had used a Lightning Style clone, not Sasuke's own Lightning Style.

Hiruzen, observing from his office, realized that Kakashi hadn't been able to go through with killing Sasuke or forcing him to use his Lightning Style. The clone was prepared precisely to stop at the last moment. While Kakashi had witnessed Sasuke's lightning abilities before, he didn't fully understand what had transpired or how Sasuke had acquired his Lightning Style.

Sasuke, relieved that he had avoided disaster, realized that Kakashi might have seen the incident in the classroom but hadn't grasped the full details or was unsure of what he had witnessed. Sasuke considered himself fortunate to have dodged that bullet. Kakashi tied him up to prevent any escape attempts.

Usually, Naruto would have taken this opportunity to mock Sasuke, but the immense gap in their abilities left Naruto speechless. Sasuke had not only held his own against Kakashi but had also unleashed powerful Fire Style ninjutsu. Naruto couldn't fathom how such a vast disparity had arisen between them.

Meanwhile, Sakura, who had been hiding in the bushes, stepped forward silently. Her pale face betrayed her realization that she had no chance of retrieving the bell or defeating Kakashi. She voiced her concerns about the fairness of the test, accusing Kakashi of intentionally preventing their success.

Kakashi merely smiled and assured them that he wasn't finished yet. He disappeared, leaving the three Genin perplexed. Sasuke was untied, and Kakashi left behind two bento boxes. Naruto, who had fallen from a tree, remained suspended as punishment for his reckless confrontation with a stronger opponent.

Kakashi explained that Sasuke and Sakura had performed admirably, earning them some food to replenish their energy. Naruto, however, was deemed too foolish for challenging a ninja of superior skill, resulting in his punishment. Hiruzen, watching from his office, smoked his pipe and contemplated the events.

His attention focused on Sasuke, particularly his decision not to use the Lightning Style during the critical moment. Hiruzen found it troubling that Sasuke had exhibited such deep surrender and restraint. It raised concerns about Sasuke's loyalty as a member of the Uchiha clan. Hiruzen wondered if it might be better to hand Sasuke over to Danzo, given the potential dangers of his exceptional talent.

Amidst these thoughts, Sasuke surprised everyone by refusing to eat

the bento, claiming not to be hungry. Naruto and Sakura, however, happily accepted the gesture and began to eat. Sasuke planned to save his appetite for something truly delicious, knowing that the battle with Kakashi had drained a significant amount of his energy.

Kakashi, hidden in the shadows, nodded with satisfaction. Hiruzen, relieved by Sasuke's decision, realized that his previous conclusions had been premature. Although Sasuke possessed remarkable talent, he was still just a child and could be guided and cultivated. Sasuke remained oblivious to the fact that a simple bento had resolved a potentially dangerous situation.
