__________
"Was that a telekinetic attack just now?"
Michael was curious. There was no form or trace, just a faint fluctuation of energy.
Many in the Marvel world could attack this way, but there weren't many who were blonde and this beautiful. The first person Michael thought of was Susan, the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four, but… she looked a bit different.
Wait...
Looking more closely, it really seemed to be her.
She just wasn't wearing the Fantastic Four uniform, and her hairstyle had changed a little. No wonder he didn't recognize her in the dim light of the bar!
"Damn, what are the chances?" Michael muttered, "This is Queens, New York, Spider-Man's turf. How did I end up meeting Invisible Woman Susan instead of Spider-Man?"
Susan appeared to be drunk, and he couldn't just leave her alone, right?
"Hey, Susan!" Michael called out.
Susan looked at Michael, "You! The guy from the bar—are you working with the Puppet Master?"
"What Puppet Master? I don't even know who that is! Only a fool would be in cahoots with someone like that!" Michael replied, feeling frustrated. Unfortunately, Susan ignored his explanation and raised her hand, launching another telekinetic attack.
A surge of telekinetic energy slammed into Michael, causing him to stagger back several steps. He felt as if his body were being torn apart.
"Is this a telekinetic attack?" Michael gritted his teeth. His body had been enhanced by the Extremis virus, which was fortunate. Otherwise, he would have been in serious trouble. Even so, he only felt pain, not injury.
"Hey, enough of that! I'm not with some lowlife Puppet Master. I saw you in trouble and wanted to help." Michael shouted as Susan prepared to attack again.
"Help? You think I'm going to believe that? You were chatting with me earlier, and now you're following one of the Puppet Master's creations. Do you expect me to trust you?" Susan sneered.
Michael could tell from her slurred speech and expression that she was drunk, and it seemed this misunderstanding wasn't going to clear up easily.
What bad luck!
"Forget it. There's no point in reasoning with a drunk woman." He muttered under his breath, "If you're going to keep misunderstanding me, I'll just leave."
He turned to walk away.
"You've been exposed, and now you want to run? No way!"
Susan snorted, launching another telekinetic blast.
A powerful, invisible force rushed toward Michael, who barely dodged in time as the ground cracked beneath him.
"Damn, she's really trying to kill me!" Michael's frustration mounted. He thought he'd gotten lucky running into Susan, but a drunk, aggressive Susan? Not so much.
"You leave me no choice. Looks like I'll have to wake you up!" Michael decided, seeing that Susan had no intention of letting up. She began gathering mental energy, forming an invisible magnetic field around herself.
"You talk big, but let's see if you can make me sober." Susan taunted as the magnetic field around her grew stronger, rippling with energy. The air crackled as the mental power intensified.
Michael lit his lighter, flames sparking and expanding, engulfing him. He walked forward, the flames swirling around him like armor.
"You doubt me? Let's see who wakes up first!"
The flames surged toward Susan like a wave of fire.
"So, you can control fire? Not bad, but that alone won't be enough." Susan said with confidence. Her body shuddered as her casual clothes transformed, revealing the tight Fantastic Four combat suit beneath. Michael had to admit, Susan looked stunning in that suit.
The sea of fire clashed with the telekinetic field surrounding her. Susan's smug look remained; she believed her telekinetic field was strong enough to withstand any attack.
But before she could finish gloating, her expression changed drastically.
Michael had closed the distance between them, flames coiling around his fists like molten lava. The temperature was so intense that Susan could feel her telekinetic field weakening, as if it were melting.
"This… this is impossible!" Susan gasped, increasing her mental power.
The flames hissed and danced as the telekinetic field flickered and wavered. Susan gritted her teeth, but her efforts to strengthen the field were futile.
"You really think your telekinetic field is invincible? I didn't want to fight a drunk woman, but you're leaving me no choice." Michael said coldly, "Now, I'm looking forward to seeing how sober you are after this."
He raised his hand, gathering even more flames, which swirled around his body like a fiery tornado. The air itself seemed to ignite as he brought his fist down.
"Break for me!"
With a deafening crack, Michael's fiery fist collided with Susan's telekinetic barrier. The force shattered it like glass, sending Susan flying backward until she slammed into a wall, blood dripping from the corner of her mouth.
"Uh… maybe I overdid it."
Seeing Susan slumped on the ground, unable to move, Michael's frustration evaporated. Although he felt a bit guilty, sometimes proving one's strength was the only way to resolve a problem.
"Are you awake now?" Michael asked, standing over her.
Susan glanced up as if she wanted to say something, but then her head lolled to the side, and she fainted.
"No way, you passed out already?" Michael muttered, feeling exasperated. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't just leave her there.
Sighing, Michael bent down to check on her. Though she was injured, it wasn't too serious. The real issue was that she was drunk.
"Great, she's just passed out drunk." Michael's face darkened.
"Alright, I'll deal with this after you sober up."
He carefully picked Susan up and headed to the nearest hotel to find her a room.
"Hey, brother, you'd better put her down; otherwise... I will be rude to you."
Just as Michael picked up Susan and was about to leave, he heard a voice coming from above.
A man was hanging upside down from the roof, wearing red-striped clothes and a mask.
With such a familiar look, you could tell it was Spider-Man at first glance.
Seeing Michael look at him, Spider-Man landed instantly, stood in front of Michael, pointed a finger at him, and said, "Hey, if I'm not mistaken, the person in your arms is Susan, the Invisible Woman? Did you know that? I have a good relationship with her brother, the Human Torch, so you'd better put her down."
"What if I say no?"
Michael squinted his eyes and looked at Spider-Man. It was obvious that Spider-Man had misunderstood him. Michael couldn't tell if today was his unlucky day, having been misunderstood repeatedly.
But now he had no intention of explaining.
One by one, they all spoke to him in this tone. Do they really think he's easy to bully? If Spider-Man had asked what happened first, maybe Michael wouldn't have been angry. But asking him to let go of someone right away in that tone? Wasn't that a bit too disrespectful?
Spider-Man shrugged, "Then there's no other way. I have to take action. But... believe me, you are no match for me, so I'll just..."
Before Spider-Man could finish his words, Michael, still holding Susan, stepped up to him and kicked him.
"Stop talking so much. If you beat me, you can take her away. Otherwise... disappear from my sight!" Michael shouted impatiently and kicked Spider-Man to the ground.
Spider-Man reacted quickly, blocking with his arms, stepping back a few paces, "It hurts! How come you're so strong?"
After saying that, he suddenly raised his arm and made Spider-Man's iconic move. The web shooter on his wrist instantly sprayed out spider silk.
With a snap, the spider silk fell to the ground. Although it was holding a person, it had no significant impact on Michael, who dodged it easily.
Spider-Man suddenly shot out spider silk and flew up, beginning to float in the air while continuing to attack Michael.
Before long, he was surrounded by spider webs.
"Are you trying to use spider silk to reduce my range of movement? I have to say, this is a very clever idea, and it's in line with your usual style. After all, your ability isn't that strong. If you didn't use your brain, you would probably have died long ago." Michael said approvingly.
"Hey, although I appreciate your compliment, but... you'd better put the person down." Said the floating Spider-Man.
"Praise? Do you think I'm praising you? Although you are smart and know how to use your advantages to fight, you forgot one thing..." Michael said with a sneer.
Spider-Man was a little curious. What had he forgotten?
"Some people can't be defeated just by using their brains!"
Michael sneered and used a lighter to create a flame. Holding Susan in his arms, he didn't make any move, but the flames around him surged directly towards Spider-Man.
"Oh, God... no, please..."
Spider-Man yelled in frustration as his spider silk was instantly burned to ashes by the flames.
This was not the end, however, because the flames had already targeted him!
He hurriedly used the spider silk to float and dodge, moving around in the air with great agility.
"Who are you? Why didn't I know you before? Are you new here?" Spider-Man asked, as if chatting while dodging.
This was Spider-Man, a slightly funny version of him.
Unfortunately, Michael had no interest in chatting. He gathered the flames to form a large fireball, and Spider-Man stopped to watch vigilantly.
"Do you like fireworks?"
Michael chuckled and said this, and the fireball exploded instantly, sending sparks flying around like blooming fireworks, extremely beautiful.
Hearing a hissing sound, Spider-Man subconsciously looked up and found flames licking at the spider silk hanging on him, burning rapidly.
"No!"
Spider-Man shouted, and his body fell down instantly.
He was about to spray out spider silk again to stabilize his body, but suddenly saw Michael put Susan down, cover her ears with his hands, and then... open his mouth.
"Ah..."
A shrill sound erupted from behind.
The rippling sound waves instantly knocked Spider-Man flying, and he lost control of his body. Like a kite with a broken string, he crashed straight into the wall, landing with a thud.
Michael stopped talking, looked at the dazed Spider-Man, picked up Susan again, and said, "Remember, my name is Michael. Next time you see me, you'd better stay away!"
"Don't even think about it..."
Spider-Man shook his head and sent out spider silk towards Michael, but it was easily burned by the flames.
"Where did he go?"
He suddenly realized that Michael had vanished.
Just as he was about to look for him, a shadow appeared in front of him.
Looking up at the sneering Michael, Spider-Man raised his hand and said, "Hey, I just wanted to make a joke. I think you don't mind, right?"
"Of course, I don't mind, but... I also want to play a joke on you!"
Michael chuckled and then rushed forward.
"Ah..."
Spider-Man's screams were heard, accompanied by the sounds of punches and kicks.
Five minutes later, Michael walked out of the alley with Susan in his arms, a bright smile on his face.
After beating up Spider-Man, he felt much better.
After Michael left, Spider-Man limped out in a very embarrassed state. Although Michael did not use his full strength, his strikes were still hard-hitting. It was only thanks to Spider-Man's resilience that he wasn't killed. Even so, Spider-Man was seriously injured and probably wouldn't recover for a while.
"Where did this guy come from? No, I have to contact the Fantastic Four and rescue Susan!"
---
In the hotel, Michael walked out of the bathroom after taking a comfortable hot bath, which made him feel much better.
He had originally planned to come out and relax, but he inexplicably encountered the Invisible Woman, Susan, and ended up having a fight with her for no apparent reason. Then he was unexpectedly stopped by Spider-Man, leading to yet another fight.
Although he had won both battles, he still felt unhappy when he thought about it.
Glancing at Susan, who had not woken up yet in the room, Michael took out a glass of red wine, sat on the sofa, and drank leisurely, contemplating the two battles he had just fought.
