Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Bra Size
Hearing her minor panic, a Granitect came rushing over to her.
{We put them in storage after cleaning and mending them to the best of our ability. However, the amount we could do with only the Sylvan Carvers silk was limited.}
"Eh? Mended? You mean you managed to repair it?"
{Yes. We apologize for it taking so long.}
"I know you guys are dexterous, but... How? You know what, never mind."
Alchemy was going to question how her insects could tailor when they didn't have opposable thumbs, but some things are probably left unknown to the human consciousness.
Opening up the Inventory while keeping an eye on the steak, Alchemy was pleasantly surprised that her hoodie and sweats were there, marked as items.
[Silver Silken Hoodie], [Grey Silken Sweats], [Light Blue Silken Lace Bra(AA32)], and [Light Blue Silken Lace Panties] Were their names now, and as she pulled them out, she was prompted by the system.

"Eh? It turned my clothes… Into Items?"
She pressed Yes to both, and they appeared on her body.

"More importantly, WHY DOES THE SYSTEM SAY MY BRA SIZE?!"
Somehow, that caught her attention more than her everyday regular, cheap clothing turning into usable items. At this point, she was starting to get used to the things the system was capable of, but the bra size was inconsistent.
It didn't tell her the size of her other articles of clothing.
"Is this stupid system making fun of my… No, no, it's just a weird formatting issue, I suppose."
Shaking the thought off, Alchemy turned back to the steak.
"Thanks. The food will be done soon."
The Granitect bowed and walked away, going to converse with some of the other units.
"Equipment."

"As far as starter items go, you probably can't get anything much better. +4 to Faith is definitely good." Alchemy sighed, pushing her potential feud with the system to the back of her mind.
With that out of the way, the food finished cooking without a hitch, and the Sylvan Carvers returned with the berries and fruit they had set out to find.
After handing them over to Alchemy, they began cutting the meat so everyone could eat. As unnecessary as it was, it gave the units something to do while chatting.
Alchemy, during this, smiled lightly, zoning out of their conversations since most revolved around her or the wolves she fought. There was more mixed in there, but Alchemy couldn't follow along too well.
It was fascinating to her. They all share information by simply existing, and their personalities are much the same, but they still possess the free will to want to talk about their interests.
Heading over to Sapphire, she placed down the numerous fruits and berries in front of the young calf.
"Hey, here's dinner. We didn't know what was and wasn't edible, so the Sylvies just grabbed everything they could."
Sapphire looked at the assortment of food before looking back at Alchemy. They made a cute sound and snuggled up against her before sorting through the pile, placing certain ones to the side.
Alchemy then took the ones Sapphire didn't want and stored them so the Verminae could eat them later. Then, the Sylvan Carvers delivered her a wooden plate full of meat.
{Here you go, Mother.}
"Thank you, Sylvies. Enjoy the meal."
Alchemy's mouth salivated as she looked at the food in front of her. She couldn't wait another moment as she took a bite.
The meat was hot enough to burn her mouth, but she didn't care in the slightest. The feeling of something entering her body was amazing. The steak was juicier than any other piece of meat she ever had. She thought it'd be very tough and lean due to the wolves constantly running around to catch their prey, but it was the exact opposite!
It melted in her mouth. The only fortunate thing was that the taste was on the blander side; having no seasoning was a real bummer. Even then, however, it wasn't too bad with the smokey flavor from the fire. Even if she weren't starving, she wouldn't be upset eating this daily if they had nothing else.
It barely took her 5 minutes to devour that entire steak, and with it, a burst of energy went through her. She was elated. Today was productive; she got to eat got a bath, and was ready to move forward.
After everyone ate and was prepared to return to work, Alchemy stood from her throne and stretched.
"Tomorrow… Our expansion will begin in earnest." She said to herself, interacting with the [Verminae Brood]
Using all of the remaining meat, Alchemy began creating units. She queued up two more squadrons of Sylvan Carvers and eight more Thornskirmishers.
"Two elite wolves were together, three young ones. I imagine their group is quite large. I won't even be able to use weapons once I reach the Tribal stage due to not having a humanoid race…" She paused.
"No, it won't matter. I'll take over this forest as quickly as possible and then worry about the complicated issues later. Taking the slowest but safest route isn't how I reached the top in the past, and it won't be how I reached the top in the present. To give those kids who are serving me an extravagant life."
The real Ancients of Ascension take over began now.
