Chapter 16: KOW Chapter 16 Opportunity
Three days later, a shaft of sunlight pierced the dense forest canopy. Qin Yi stirred, shaking his head. His mind felt thick and heavy like it had been struck by a hammer.
"Qin Yi!"
A clear, trembling voice cut through the air. He opened his eyes.
His younger sister, Xiyao, stood before him, her eyes red-rimmed with worry.
"Xiyao."
He surveyed his surroundings. His soldiers with their faces etched with concern, stood vigilantly around him. Relief washed over him, and a faint smile touched his lips.
The crushing weight on his heart eased slightly.
The realization that he had been reincarnated as a King, tasked with conquering another world, had initially overwhelmed him. Leading his sister and elite soldiers into unfamiliar, hostile lands, the prospect of planting his royal flag in a foreign realm felt suffocating.
But now, seeing his people safe, a burden lifted from his chest.
"You're all here. That's good. Very good," He murmured softly.
His expression startled those around him – Gandalf, Qin Lin, Fang Lan, and others – but soon their faces softened.
This King was different from the one they remembered. Perhaps his brush with death had brought about this change. Regardless, it was a change they welcomed.
Three hours later, Qin Yi's energy had fully returned.
The continuous use of his abilities had left him drained, his mind severely taxed. Yet, after three days of rest, he felt no lingering pain.
Even Gandalf, an elder with vast experience, found this remarkable.
"I served by your father's side," Gandalf explained, "and even he used this power sparingly. It takes a significant toll on mental strength and willpower."
"Recovery usually takes a long time. But you..."
Gandalf's gaze turned curious.
"Hehehe, perhaps I'm just built differently. Either way, it's good news, isn't it?"
Qin Yi felt a surge of energy. Clenching and unclenching his fists, he could feel the increased Chakra coursing through his veins, more potent than before.
A soft blue Chakra shimmered faintly within him, radiating an enchanting glow in a six-pointed star formation.
As he sensed the power within, Qin Yi's eyes gleamed.
"Three Chakra natures! In addition to Wind and Fire, plundering has granted me Earth nature!"
A grin spread across his face.
This was excellent news, confirming his earlier theories.
The multifaceted strength of the King's Power could potentially help him master all five basic Chakra natures and eventually unlock more advanced Kekkei Genkai (Bloodline Limits).
"According to Naruto, there are seven Chakra natures: Water, Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, Yin, and Yang!"
"If I can master all seven and integrate them seamlessly, I might unlock the true essence and pinnacle of power in this world!"
A dazzling light ignited in Qin Yi's eyes as he thought of this.
Strength was a man's natural pursuit, and mastery was the lifelong dream of every passionate soul. With his knowledge of the Naruto world and the command of an army, Qin Yi felt confident.
In this world, as long as he avoided the reckless mistakes of his predecessor, he could become an unparalleled expert.
And then, his gaze sharpened.
"Establishing a kingdom, following the King's Path, and evolving my Royal City – it's not impossible!"
This was the ultimate goal. As far as Qin Yi knew, achieving the King's Path in another world required a complete nation, the most powerful in that world.
For example, the Nation of Fire, with its vast territory and Konoha's formidable military force.
Of course, this would take time. But Qin Yi was patient. He would build his dream, step by step.
Nearly six thousand people camped within the Konoha Forest – a formidable force. However, staying on someone else's territory indefinitely was not an option.
While Konoha might tolerate their presence temporarily, it was clear they couldn't stay forever.
Soon, the three generals of the army arrived.
"Your Majesty!"
Qin Yi opened his eyes. After a brief period of training, his Chakra had grown slightly stronger.
"Three Generals, it's time to plan our next move."
The three generals – Qin Lin, Fang Lan, and Yang Yi – stood before him. Gandalf, towering above them, stood respectfully to the side. Qin Xiyao, exhausted from lack of sleep, had been sent to rest.
"The Three Generals may not be familiar with Gandalf," Qin Yi said, "so let me introduce him."
"Gandalf was brought from the Otherworld by my father and entrusted to my care. He is the only person in our kingdom, besides myself, who possesses supernatural power, and he is undoubtedly the strongest among us."
Qin Yi gestured towards Gandalf.
"Greetings, Mr. Gandalf," The generals replied.
They examined Gandalf with curious eyes. Supernatural power! In this world, everyone seemed to possess such abilities. Having fought against these Shinobi and witnessed their strength, the generals understood the significance of Gandalf's power.
"The Three Generals have been here for a month, and I apologize for my earlier mistakes," Qin Yi said earnestly, his tone tinged with regret.
"But that won't happen again. I promise you."
His candid admission reassured the generals.
"Your Majesty, there's no need to dwell on the past," Qin Lin replied. "Time is of the essence. Let's focus on the matter at hand."
He pulled a map from his cloak, unfolded it carefully, and spread it on the ground.
A King, three generals, and a Demi-God huddled together, their discussion commencing.
"Over the past month, though we've suffered losses, we've also gained valuable knowledge," Qin Lin began.
"We've paid a heavy price, but we've also slain some of their warriors."
"Previously, we acquired their items, maps, and scrolls, but we didn't understand their purpose. However, after deciphering their language, everything became clear!"
It was evident that in the past three days, they had consolidated their gains under Fang Lan's coordination.
"The most pressing issue is our next course of action. An army of six thousand requires substantial resources, and our supplies are dwindling."
"In other words, we need territory!"
Yang Yi, another general, spoke up, pointing to the map.
"Based on our intelligence, this Otherworld is in a state of great upheaval."
"It seems they've just emerged from the Sengoku (Warring States) era and are now transitioning into the early Shinobi era."
"In such turbulent times, opportunities abound!"
