Chapter 12: CHAPTER TWELVE:Tamed by love
In the kingdom of Everia, the queen, Kira, was seen giving orders to a group of maids. The queen mother barged in angrily and said, "How dare you give orders to my maid?"
Queen Kira rose and said, "I don't remember you having a maid in this palace. This is my husband's palace."
The queen mother replied, "Have you forgotten the king is my son?"
Queen Kira smiled evilly and said, "He is your son, but you are not married to him. I am his wife, so I have every right. And you don't even have a damn right."
Before Queen Kira could finish, the queen mother slapped her. King Maric rushed in and asked, "What's going on here?"
The queen mother fell to her knees, pretending to cry, and said, "Maric, Maric, I warned you not to marry Kira. Now look at her – she slapped me!"
Queen Kira tried to defend herself, saying, "I swear I didn't do it!" But King Maric turned to her and slapped her, saying, "I won't have you hit my mother."
The queen mother gave Queen Kira an evil look that said"I warned you." King Maric then ordered the guards to lock Queen Kira up, accusing her of committing a great sin.

Lord nigel's gaze was captivated by Aria's beauty, and he couldn't help but wonder why he was only now realizing how stunning she was. What was wrong with him? He felt an overwhelming attraction, his thoughts consumed by the urge to kiss her.
He gently collected the tray of tea from her, scooped her in his arms taking her to his king-sized bed and gently laying her on it, his body hovering over hers. His lips were almost touching hers, his breath whispering against her skin. Aria, on the other hand, was thinking of a way to escape. She was uncomfortable, unsure how to react.
Just as Lord nigel's lips were about to touch hers, Aria blurted out, "I'm on my period!"
Lord Miguel immediately withdrew, his expression unreadable. "What?" he muttered, his voice laced with disgust. He loved shedding the blood of his enemies and traitors, but the thought of women's blood repulsed him. To him, women in such a state were filthy, beyond cleansing.
"Get out," he growled gruffly, turning his back on her.
Aria didn't hesitate, fleeing the room as quickly as possible. As soon as she escaped, Lady Charlotte who seems to be nearby dragged her into a nearby corner.
Aria struggled to catch her breath. "If Lord Nigel asks you to tell me to bring him tea, tell him I've died. Tell him I'm no more."
Lady Charlotte bursted out laughing. "Aria, calm down! Tell me what happened."
Aria quickly denied, "Nothing, nothing, nothing, Lady Charlotte. Nothing."

King Nigel felt shocked and embarrassed. What had just occurred between him and Aria? Lost in thought, he suddenly sensed a guard approaching the door. He fixed his gaze on the entrance as it swung open, revealing the guard who rushed in and bowed, exclaiming, "News has reached us that King Maric has entangled himself with King ryker, the formidable King of Valtania!"
Lord nigel nodded his head, a hint of satisfaction on his face. "I expected that," he said, before turning to his guard. "Go," he commanded.
The guard bowed and hurried off, leaving Lord nigel to his thoughts.
Meanwhile, in the maids chambers, a group of maids were huddled together, gossiping and whispering among themselves. It seemed like they never got tired of talking and sharing the latest rumors and news.
This time, their attention was focused on Aria. "Did you hear she was in Lord Miguel's room for a long time?" one of the maids whispered, her eyes wide with resentment
The others leaned in, their faces filled with a mix of curiosity and malice. "I heard she's been getting close to him," another maid said, her voice dripping with disdain.
"I hate her!!!"
"Me too!"

A commotion broke out at the outside palace of Ashwood as a newly arrived woman was stopped by the guards. She tried to explain that she was also a recruit, but the guards were unyielding.
Just as the situation was escalating, Lady Charlotte appeared, her presence commanding attention. "What's going on here?" she demanded.
The woman bowed deeply before Lady Charlotte. "I heard about the palace recruiting maids, and I'm interested in serving," she explained.
Lady Charlotte's expression was apologetic. "Sorry, but we're no longer recruiting. We've selected the maids we need."
The woman's face fell, but she didn't give up. She knelt down, her eyes pleading. "Please, my lady, please... I'll do anything."
Lady Charlotte sighed, seemingly moved by the woman's desperation. She turned to the guards. "Let her go."
As the guards stepped aside, Lady Charlotte said, "Follow me."
The woman's face lit up with a smile, but it was a smile that hinted at secrets and hidden agendas.
As she followed Lady Charlotte, the woman's eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity. It was clear that she was no ordinary recruit. She was a spy, sent by Davina to infiltrate the palace and gather information on who would get close to Lord nigel.
Aria was left alone by Lady Charlotte, who had been trying to pry information out of her about her encounter with Lord Nigel. As soon as Lady Charlotte sensed the commotion outside, she rushed off, leaving Aria on her own.
Aria decided to avoid the maid-chambers, where the other maids were always gossiping and making a noise. Instead, she opted for a quiet stroll around the palace.
As she walked, she found herself on a route she had never taken before. Her curiosity piqued, she ventured deeper into the unfamiliar passageways. The air grew thick with the scent of old books and dust, and the silence was almost palpable.
Aria wandered deeper and deeper, her footsteps echoing off the stone walls. She began to feel a sense of fear and as if she was uncovering secrets that were meant to remain hidden.
Suddenly, she stumbled upon a door hidden behind a tapestry. The door was old and worn, with strange carvings of symbols she didn't recognize. Aria's heart skipped a beat as she reached out to touch the door handle...
