NOVEL NEXT Chapter 7: Nexus Technique
Liam's blades ignited with flames and with a newly found speed he struck before Adonis could even form a single lightning bolt. Adonis had to use his hands to block Liam's attacks, Liam's sword could only leave white marks on Adonis's hands but Adonis couldn't attack either due to his hands being busy. Adonis's face slowly grew serious.
Suddenly lightning surged out of his body and a lightning dragon formed around his body pushing Liam backwards "Hahaha, bring it in" Liam said crazily and all the flames around Adonis died out even the lightning dragon disappeared "Don't tell me you have given up" Liam said as he moved forward at his top speed not noticing the lightning and flames concentrated in Adonis right arm.
"Nexus Technique: Fist of the end" Adonis said he punched forward and a lightning beast coated with flames flew out of it towards Liam. Liam who realized the danger he was in quickly got into a defensive stance "Mad General Tactics: Spinning Madness" Liam said as he joined his longswords at the ends and pinned it at an immersed speed to block the attack but he was getting pushed backwards.
Adonis's attack suddenly disappeared but he was already behind Liam and then his fist landed on Liam's ribs and Liam was sent flying. Liam instinctively spread his wings as he glided in the air before landing steadily on the ground "Impressive technique, why don't you try out mine" Liam said as he spread his arms "Mad General Tactics: The Mad Rampage" Liam said wearing a serious expression, flames flowed from his wings down his arms to his blades and he erupted forward at top speed to strike Adonis.
"Not bad" Adonis said frostily as he parted his legs, he moved the right leg backwards and then placed the left in front neon light glowed in his eyes as his blue flames and lightning gathered in front of him "Nexus Technique: Universal defence" Adonis said and Liam crashed to the barrier Adonis created, he shot backwards faster than the speed he had when running towards Adonis. Lightning surged through Liam's veins as he endured immersed pain as his tissues were been torn by the lightning.
"Mine is better than yours" Adonis said as he dropped down his arm blood dripped down his arm as Liam's sword slashed open his palm "I slashed open your hand so how is your technique stronger than mine" Liam said with a smirk he struggled to stand up "I was defending not attacking and yet you got injured more than me and also look at my hands" Adonis said as he raised his hands. Everyone could see the wound healing at top speed as the tissues squirmed together.
"Impossible" Liam said in disbelief "Nothing is impossible in this universe we live in" Adonis said as his palm healed finish "You both are impressive" Wade said as he and Ashburn both approached the kids clapping "If you both were to show your full strength to the people of your age, they will probably die of despair" Wade added to his words as Adonis and Liam stared at one another "Give it up Liam, he is far stronger than you and he is holding back" Ashburn told his son who looked indignant refusing to believe that he was weaker than Adonis.
"Count yourself lucky since Wade agreed to be your teacher if not you would have been in there till school resumes" Ashburn said with a scoff "What school are you talking about, my parents said nothing about me going to school" Adonis said with a light frown on his face and Ashburn gave him an intense stare "They also didn't say anything about you not going to school right" Ashburn asked with squinted eyes as he folds his arms "They didn't but that doesn't mean I have to go to school" Adonis said moving backwards appearing uncomfortable with the idea of going to school "Don't tell me you've never been to a school before" Liam asked laughing.
"I had no reason to go" Adonis said scratching his face a bit "Do you even know the universal language" Liam asked as he looked at Adonis with slight disdain "I can understand all languages" Adonis said and the disdain in Liam's eyes increased as he looked at Adonis feeling like he just heard a ridiculous thing "Let it be Liam" Ashburn said as only him knew why Adonis understood all languages "So will you follow me as my student Adonis" Wade asked Adonis "No, I still have no reason to follow you" Adonis said as he left to go to his room. Finally, Wade lost his patience "You are coming with me whether you agree or not" Wade said as he held Adonis's shoulder "Leave me alone" Adonis said as he tried shoving off Wade's hand.
"Don't think I'm weak just because I don't behave as strictly and seriously as Ashburn?" Wade said as he pressed Adonis's shoulder down with force leaving Adonis incapable of moving "Let me go" Adonis said as steam came out of his body "You aren't going anywhere young man, I was asked to train you so you have no chance to reject" Wade said as he eyes turned fierce. Liam moved closer to his father "Father who is this old geezer, is he strong" Liam whispered to his father "Don't underestimate him, he might not be stronger than me but his strength is nothing to be scoffed at" Ashburn replied "If he is not as strong as you, I don't care then" Liam said uncaringly as he shrugged his shoulders
"How much do you know about the alien battlefield" Ashburn asked his son "Not much all I know is that only those below planet stage are allowed to participate on the battlefield" Liam said uncertainly as he held his chin "You are right, but Wade isn't at planet level yet he isn't allowed to participate. I wouldn't even be his match if I didn't break through to the planet stage" Ashburn said and Liam's eyes widened in surprise "I want to spar with him" Liam said in excitement "Don't keep stupid thoughts in your head" Ashburn said and Liam signed "I wonder how long it will take for me to get to you both level" Liam wondered "Don't worry too much about it, you both have great potential to surpass us in strength, we didn't even know what a technique was when we were at your stage and the both of you already have your self-created techniques" Ashburn said as he patted Liam's shoulder while Adonis and Wade were still engaging in a staring contest.
"Let me go" Adonis said to Wade staring straight into his eyes "You will come with me either willingly or by force" Wade said as he increased the pressure on Adonis's shoulder "I said let me go!" Adonis said as he shot his fist at Wade's stomach "Nexus Technique: Nebula Collapse" Adonis thought using his strongest fist technique from the start. Everything went silent as a huge amount of lightning was produced by Adonis's body the floor cracked from pressure everyone in the tournament house felt the power behind Adonis's blow immediately it landed on Wade's body a huge explosion was heard as a huge amount of dust rose. Soon the dust cleared up and Adonis's eyes widened in surprise. Wade's hand was holding Adonis's fist in his palm as if it was nothing but an empty fist "You call your technique Nexus technique right" Wade said with a light smile "It's impressive for a nobody but not good enough" Wade added before he turned Adonis wrist breaking it and then he slammed Adonis face into the ground "See you when you are awake" Adonis heard Wade say before his consciousness faded away.
