Chapter 238: Kai's Battle (3)
"You can't escape anywhere!"
Someone was following him like a shadow. Kai and the Sword Hunter ran for a long time. Actually, only Kai was running. He was very fast in a straight line, and the Sword Hunter couldn't catch up to him.
Despite everything, there was still a huge difference in their abilities. As time passed, the Sword Hunter got closer and closer, and Kai got more and more tired.
Finally, they reached the top of a cliff. Kai bent his head and looked down into the abyss, swallowing hard involuntarily. The abyss was very deep; despite the Dragon King's traits that enhanced Ryuga's physical abilities, Kai couldn't see the bottom. Worse still, there were very strong winds. Not only was it difficult for Kai to bend these winds, but just surviving alongside them was difficult as well.
When he turned around, the Sword Hunter was facing him. Every part of his body was engulfed in flames, and pieces of his flesh were being carried away by the black flames. At the same time, his chest seemed to have caved in. This was most likely due to the black lightning Kai had struck him with. There were many flying swords around him. They all possessed sharp auras. They glowed with the power of the Sword Laws.
"You've reached the end of the road!"
The Sword Hunter was still on guard. Kai could turn him to stone with a lie. That's why he didn't talk much. Even though he was tired, the young man in front of him could kill him in many ways. He had to be careful.
He thought that, even though he didn't talk much, it would frighten Kai, who would clench his teeth and try to think of a way to escape. Apparently, though, that wasn't the case.
Kai had his head bowed and beads of sweat poured down his face as if he had been diving in and out of the sea. His long hair reached down to his neck. This made him sweat even more. But Kai didn't seem to care about his life at all. It was as if he wanted to catch his breath and run again.
"Ah, I didn't want to use this while I was so badly injured. It's best to start with a question."
"Are you wondering how I can use the abilities of the other kings?"
As he asked this question, a wild and powerful aura emanated from Kai's body. It was very intense and radiated incredible energy. Even though the Sword Hunter had seen traces of such a thing while fighting him from the beginning, he was even more surprised now that this energy had emerged.
The next moment, a crown mark appeared on Kai's forehead.
"Every king possesses certain abilities. The Dragon King can use the abilities of Hybrid Dragons, and the Monster King can copy the characteristics of the monsters he sees. Of course, I have an ability too."
The aura intensified further. Suddenly, the ground began to crack, the wind twisted, and the earth and sky merged. The crown symbol on Kai's forehead glowed with golden light, resembling a sacred symbol.
"But this is not the Black Lightning King's ability as you and the others thought!"

"Three months! What everyone did in an instant took me three months!"
As the crown on Kai's forehead glowed with golden light, it reflected. Then, it returned to his head. Suddenly, a light began to reflect there, too.
"It took me three months to awaken my divine potential as the King of Kings!"
A crown began to form above Kai's head. The golden crown was not yet fully formed, but the Sword Hunter felt the pressure deep in his bones. The swords in the air slipped from his control and approached the ground. They did not want to resist the golden pillar before them.
Kai was completely engulfed in golden light. A frenzied light shone in his eyes. He was no longer calm or serious. He was completely savage!
"I am the King of Kings! I possess the power of every king I have seen! Do you understand?! I am powerful! I am the most powerful!"
His aura grew even stronger. The golden light was visible in every corner of the 100-kilometer area. Some people thought it was a light show in the sky, while others shouted that it was a sign and ran in all directions. Only a few watched calmly.
The Sword Master facing Kai didn't know what to do. He didn't know if he could escape.
"RAAAAAAGHHH!!!"
Kai poured all his strength into it. At that moment, the crown was almost complete. Once it was finished, he could kill the Sword Hunter!
Pufff....
Then someone appeared, unnoticed by Kai or the Sword Master. Standing directly opposite Kai, covered in golden light, the man locked eyes with him. The next moment, while Kai was still looking into the man's eyes, the man slowly placed his hand on Kai's chest and pushed him. All of Kai's power vanished. Blood came from his mouth, and he fell slowly down the cliff. Even as he fell, his eyes looked into the man's. His eyes looked into the man's angry but tired eyes. Kai hadn't sensed any special force in the man's push. It was his own wounds that caused him to fall. Still, the man had gotten so close without Kai noticing. It was truly impressive.
'Seeing you here is beyond anything I could have imagined, even if I'd thought about it for forty years. I didn't know you'd become so strong all these years later. How strange that everything has come full circle! I feel like I'm back in school again. But no one is left behind now. Your presence here doesn't mean anything. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have hit you so hard that day... Seth'
Then, under Seth's gaze, Kai fell down this huge cliff.

The sun smiled down on a flower-covered garden. The weather was beautiful, and three people were lying on the grass, talking. Two of them wore black clothes with white spots on them. They radiated completely different feelings. One was like the end, while the other was like the beginning. But maybe the end is another beginning? They wore the same clothes, so why did they elicit different reactions? They asked people this many times and always got the same answer.
The child between them was different, though. He treated them both the same, telling them a story he loved and sharing a theory he had come up with later. He looked about five years old. He was cheerful and didn't seem angry at anyone for what had happened to him.
Suddenly, a white light appeared in front of him. It was enormous yet small at the same time. It felt very big, but it wasn't that big in front of your eyes. It was a strange feeling.
Silhouettes emerged one after another from inside the light. Each one resembled the next. They may not have looked alike in life, but their spirits were similar. After all, they all originated from the same spirit.
Then the person in black clothing who radiated positivity spoke.
"Do you want to go there?"
The little boy looked at him, then at the others in the white light, surprised. He didn't seem bothered at all by the interruption. He just felt a little surprised.
Then the other person in black spoke. He wasn't smiling, but he spoke very sincerely. There was no lie or deception in them.
"If you go there, you won't have any more worries. It's better there than here. You can have fun every day without getting bored, and there are many people like you. Your friends are there, too. They're all waiting for you. Don't you want to go to them?"
The child looked at the other man for a moment, then turned back to the white light. A smile appeared on his innocent face.
"I think I want to stay here a little longer."
The men in black smiled and nodded in agreement. Then, everything disappeared, leaving only darkness behind...
