Kai Lane: Beginning

Chapter 204: Prophecy Comes True! (1)

The sun was rising and the moon was setting. On Sky Island, in the area where Atlantia City is located, many people might have just woken up, but today was different from other days. Today, they were taking care of their friends who had been injured in the 5th Leader's attack. Therefore, almost half of the city had not slept during the night.

Of course, with their upbringing and the intense energy in the city of Atlantia, this was no big deal.

The first rays of the morning came through Kai's window. Today looked like a good day. After waking up, Kai thought for a moment about what had happened last night, but quickly shook his head. He couldn't let this date end badly. He would keep these thoughts away for a while and make up for the sadness he had caused Emma for months.

Meanwhile, Little Tiger was already awake. He had actually grown a little larger than when he was born. To be honest, he looked almost like a 4-year-old boy.

This meant that he was growing at the same rate as humans. Nevertheless, Little Tiger would always shrink next to Kai and would be close to the size he was when he was born. He also made sure to use all his cute techniques to make Kai love him.

Even at the age of 4, he had seen war and grew up accordingly. If it wasn't for Kai's playful attitude towards him, Little Tiger would have been nothing more than a wild animal.

For him, Kai was a real father.

If Little Tiger, who was almost half a step older, turned into a monster, it could have very dangerous consequences.

That morning, Kai prepared himself thoroughly. He was at his most efficient. On his back was the Heavenly Elemental Sword, and in his eyes was the unquenchable will to fight.

It didn't take long until Kai arrived at Emma's house and picked her up. When Emma noticed that Kai hadn't asked where they were going, she realized that they were going somewhere of Kai's choice.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

That made Emma happy for a moment. After all, mysterious things made her curious.

"Aren't you going to tell me where we're going?"

"Not yet."

Kai thought about how cool he would be in a late model car right now. He drove along the road behind the cliffs and looked out to sea. Even if he couldn't do that on Sky Island, he could be very cool in this world.

"Haaa... I really should do that sometime."

As they walked, Quentin started to gather people for a talk. Kai didn't want to listen. He couldn't hear what Quentin had to say where they were going, and that was the point.

Kai and Emma took a long ride to the other side of town. It was a hill, almost high enough to be called a mountain. Luckily, Emma had come fully prepared in the white dress she was wearing.

"Actually, I wanted to bring you here."

Kai wasn't surprised. Even though the people in the city were mostly focused on getting stronger, it didn't surprise him that someone other than himself had learned something.

This was obviously a very remarkable place with many faces.

When the two of them climbed the hill, they first felt the gentle wind blowing in their faces. In that wind was the sweet smell of spring.

"It smells so good."

As Emma looked at the flowers with excitement, she quickly took Kai's hand and pulled him into the flowers with her. Meanwhile, Little Tiger had appeared out of nowhere, chasing after a small butterfly he had seen.

"Come on Kai! A little faster. What a dragon you are."

Emma pulled Kai carelessly and sometimes made fun of him. Kai was as slow as a turtle. He probably wouldn't even move if Emma didn't pull him.

Emma started to mumble something while she was pulling him.

"Even though I've reached the peak of the two-fingered body slash, I still can't enter the realm slash. It might take at least 5 years. Come on, how could the person who practiced this technique have mastered the Realm Slash at the age of 20? There must be a way! Yes, I'm right. T-this-"

It was a pair of red eyes that interrupted Kai. Emma's eyes were like a demon from hell. She broke Kai's body with her gaze and his wrist with her hands.

"Kai... Didn't I tell you no martial arts today? " Emma had asked politely, but she hadn't forgotten to break Kai's wrist while asking.

Kai actually wanted to get rid of these thoughts, but he was distracted for a moment.

I wish it had stayed in my head in the city", but what was done was done. Kai had to apologize.

"Anyway, let's go."

Emma didn't expect an apology and the bad feeling in her stomach made her want to hurry. Kai was surprised, but he didn't care. After all, it suited him.
