Chapter 198: Chaos in Atlantia
At the time, nothing seemed to have happened in the city of Atlantia. No one suspected anything. And no one thought there was any danger. But if they had known about the danger in the city, they would have buried their heads in the sand.
Meanwhile Lena sat in her room. She thought about Kai and the others. On the other hand she thought about Jack.
But to be honest, the only person she thought about was Jace. They hadn't spoken in a long time and she wanted to talk to him one last time, now that death was so close. After Zaheer and Alan had died, he realized that anyone could die at any time. No matter how great a genius you are. No matter how talented you are, there will always be someone stronger than you. If you don't live with that in mind, when death finds you, you'll never believe you lived right.
Of course, that's why Lena was worried about her.
At that moment, a feeling arose in Lena's stomach. An intense pain in her stomach made her stop where she was and stop herself from vomiting. As soon as she put her hand on the edge of the table, the pain intensified.
It was then that Lena knew something was wrong.
Suddenly she sat down on the floor and went into a meditation position. Then she directed Pure Healing Energy into her abdomen.
29 minutes passed. It took Lena 29 minutes to find the poison in her stomach. She finally found it in some of the food she had eaten, and then when she did a full scan of her body, she realized that there was poison in her pores. Someone must have touched her and carried the poison with them.
At that moment, Lena was aware of the danger. The hunters could not attack recklessly, but if it was the poison, they could weaken the city's forces. It would weaken the city.
"I have to go!"
Lena jumped up and ran straight out of the building, but what she finally saw could have been her worst nightmare.
Countless people were lying on the ground, covered in vomit. They were all white and it was obvious how exhausted they were. They looked like they had tried to come to the healing center. There were even some very talented people among them. Kronos, Zachery, John, Boyd, Elena, Emma, Melony, Fury. There were even legendary leaders like Alain or the Shotgun Man. Klaus was in a corner, struggling with life.
The first moment Lena saw them, her brain stopped. She hadn't expected to see such a scene.
"You made a mistake."
Just then there was a low roar. Lena couldn't even turn her head. A dagger of green liquid came at her from behind. Lena might have been a Half-Step, but there were many people more skilled than her.
And she was a healer.
At that moment, Lena's life flashed before her eyes, but she stopped involuntarily. She wanted to fight, even though she knew she wouldn't make it. Even if she knew that she would die, she wanted to hold the dagger in her hands and kill this hunter before her, not to let others die.
She just wanted to win.
But the dagger was too quick. When Lena turned her head, it was already at her throat.
Death was a hair's breadth away.
GUUUUUMMM....!!!!!
But at the moment death should have come, an earthquake struck. Both the Slayer and Lena were terrified by this sudden earthquake. Because they knew that this earthquake was coming closer to them. They could see the cracks in the earth. They could hear the growling in their ears. They could see the hairy man just one step away!
HIIIIRRRR...!!!
"K-Kronos!"
Kronos grabbed the dagger that was about to enter Lena's throat at the last moment. Lena looked at him in horror, and the Slayer looked surprised, but not afraid.
"I really shouldn't have thought I could poison a city with so many kings so easily."
The Slayer finally spoke and threw herself back. Kronos threw Lena back with a sweep of his hand and went after the Slayer.
"HOW!!! DARE!!! YOU!!!"
Kronos was the king of the monsters. He was poisoned like all the others, but unlike the others, he had an indestructible will. The will of the beast! That was the specialty of the King of Monsters.
But the poison was too strong. So Kronos was in no condition to fight, but he saw. He saw what his friends were going through. He saw them suffer. Every second that his loved ones were close to death tormented him. It fueled his rage. It made him the king of the monsters.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Cronus was a rager. And the angrier he became, the stronger he became, but there was a difference. Fenrir's presence changed Kronos.
When Fenrir lost his temper, he lost himself and became known as the Fallen Ancestor. He was imprisoned, first by Bart the Immortal Dragon and then by Poseidon. Finally, he was cured by Kai's master, Randal Dramer.
But deep down, he was still the same beast. Kronos had now awakened a part of that beast. Because of the poison, he could not use much of the Beast's power.
But even in its current state, it was incredible. He kept moving forward, his blows shaking the island. The hunter barely escaped, but the fact that he was able to do so showed how skilled he was. He certainly couldn't compare to Kaido. 10 Kaidos couldn't fight him.
And despite everything, this masked man still looked very relaxed. You couldn't see his expression because of the mask. The only thing that could be described about him was that he looked like a ninja and that he was covered everywhere, including his hair.
Even his eyes could not be seen because of the Lightning of Peace he was displaying. In reality, no one would recognize him if he appeared in the city.
Lena seized the opportunity. She went to Zachery, the closest person without being seen by the Slayer. She lasted a little longer than the others, but that was because she was a healer and because of her love for Toma. Even he did not know where Toma was now.
Lena reached out her hand and began to heal Zachery, whispering a few words. The more people there were, the more likely they were to kill this man.
Still, Lena didn't know how long it would take for Zachery to recover. How long Kronos would be able to hold off the Slayer.
But it was too late for all that. The Slayer saw Lena.
"Don't make this difficult for me, little healer."
Kronos swung his arm again, but this time the Slayer didn't move. He jumped and stepped on Kronos' arm. Then he twisted his body with his hands and kicked Kronos in the face with his foot.
Kronos was thrown backwards and his 3.5 meter body collapsed like a giant. As he tried to get up, the hunter jumped and fell into Kronos' teeth with his knees.
BOOOOMM!!!!!
Of course, being both an assassin and a master of poison, the hunter had poison all over his body. As soon as Kronos' teeth were broken, a medicine bottle exploded on his knees and poured into Kronos' mouth.
Then the Slayer stood up and turned to face Lena as if nothing had happened. Lena had felt him coming, but she tried to heal Zachery anyway. Zachery was already well enough to see his surroundings.
"Let him go, you're all going to die anyway..."
"Who are you?!"
Lena's teeth chattered at the Slayer's relaxed attitude. She would not accept death so easily. If she had to sacrifice, she would, but she couldn't let so many people die.
"You're going to die anyway. It doesn't matter if I reveal who I am. After all...
Everyone who knows my name is dead."
The city was silent. Not a bird, not a sound. Tens of thousands of people in the city of Atlantia were now poisoned by this hunter.
It was a reminder of the time when Kai had poisoned the city.
The hunter slowly removed the mask and the bandage from his head. He had the black hair of an assassin and a dark face. There were light scratches on his face. But they looked more like the marks of a technique than scars. They were all in proportion.
The man still had green in his eyes and purple lightning in his eyelids.
He was still calm, and there was no emotion on his face. He thought that dying was fainting.
"My name is Dokuo. As my name suggests, I am a Poison Master, or perhaps Assassin would be better."
"In short, for your understanding, I am the best assassin under level 2."
It was clear from his actions, but Lena still regretted it. Only when she heard his rank did she feel the danger in her throat.
"I am the 5th leader."
Her intelligence said that the top 5 were men who excelled in 5 different things. This man's specialty turned out to be exactly that.
At that moment, Dokuo's right foot crawled into the dirt and his hand grabbed Kronos' wrist. Dokuo then stepped back and struck Kronos in the back with energy.
Kronos already had his axe in his hand and wanted to attack Dokuo in direct anger, but this man pushed him towards Lena.
Lena could not retreat. Zachery was behind her and she would surely die after this attack. She had to meet the attack!
Lena hit the axe with the energy she had accumulated in her Mana Weapon. This weapon accumulated energy over time to use in the attack. The longer she waited, the more powerful the energy became. Unlike Kai's sword, you couldn't use it to increase your level.
With great explosions, Lena flew backwards, destroying countless buildings and getting caught in the rubble. The buildings in the city tended to be close together. Even though the area around the Healing House was a bit empty, Kronos' blow was enough for Lena to crash into the houses and destroy them.
"You're really too angry. I think I'd better take this giant down before there's an accident."
Dokuo spoke and then moved forward as if stepping on air. When Kronos noticed him, he was already in front of him.
Dokuo slapped Kronos and he crashed through the wall of the Healing House.
'Almost there!'
Kronos could barely stand. His body was smaller now, but he still had strength. However, the biggest problem was that he was not a Half-Step. If he had been a Half-Step, maybe the fight would have turned out differently. Maybe Lena wouldn't have been hurt so badly, and maybe they would have had a way to heal everyone.
Kronos!' 'Just hold on a little longer!
Kronos sent his fist straight into Dokuo's face, but for Dokuo, it was an attack in slow motion.
The poison slowly took effect.
Meanwhile, Zachery had finished drawing shapes in the dirt. Nobody could understand what he was doing. He had very little power, but he used it to help Kronos. All could feel his formation. Zachery was now behind Orion.
Zachery could barely control his mana weapon. The blue crystal glowed at his command, forming a tight formation around him.
This formation covered many people in the area, and eventually the shapes Zachery had drawn on the ground began to glow. They all eventually reached Orion.
"Poison purifying formation!!!"
Everyone's energy merged and slowly gathered and returned to Orion. Orion was back to his old self before he even realized what had happened. But part of his body was still weak. He stood up and looked at Zachery with a look of disbelief. Zachery finally collapsed from exhaustion and nearly lost consciousness.
"Zack... What did you do?"
Zachery just laughed at the sentence. He vomited blood as he laughed. The others had gotten into worse situations, but none of them had gotten as bad as Zachery.
"I'm just doing what I have to do to keep us alive."
"I destroyed your poison with the formation, but we are still powerless. I healed you for a reason. Orion, I know you're the only one who can save us now. Sometimes sacrifices must be made, and I chose you."
"Because you were the only Half Step in the city who could fight, Orion."
