So pale.

The girl's skin seemed crafted from frost and snow, a stark white that dazzled in the sunlight.

Amamiya narrowed his eyes instinctively, keeping his focus on analyzing the situation.

'The transformation time seems... quite short…'

A light breeze drifted through the room, softly lifting the edge of the curtains.

Kaguya blinked, momentarily dazed, then snapped to her senses. She quickly crossed her arms over her chest, sinking into a crouch, her cheeks flushing as panic set in.

"Close the curtains!" she stammered.

Even the typically composed Kaguya-hime couldn't maintain her poise. Her face was rapidly turning crimson, as if any moment now, she'd faint from sheer embarrassment.

"Yes, right away." Amamiya was already by the window and swiftly pulled the curtains shut.

"Relax—it's the fourth floor. No one can see inside…"

"Close your eyes, and turn around!" Kaguya's distress peaked, her face as flushed as if steam might begin puffing from her head.

'He saw me... like this…' Her pulse raced wildly.

Kaguya's head spun, her thoughts swirling. She could barely process the moment.

"Don't faint," Amamiya warned, his tone serious. "Think carefully. If you pass out, I'll be the one who has to help you get dressed."

"…"

Kaguya's shoulders tensed, her mind snapping to attention. She bit down lightly on her lip to keep herself alert.

'Passing out is not an option.' She thought, 'Being seen undressed is mortifying enough—having him dress me? I'd never live it down!'

"Face the window and don't turn around," she whispered, her eyes brimming with tears as she tried to calm herself.

Amamiya raised his hands, pretending to ponder her suggestion. "Wouldn't it be better if I just… stepped outside?"

Kaguya's gaze went blank.

In her panicked state, she'd overlooked the most obvious solution. Gathering what little pride she had left, she pointed sharply to the door, teeth clenched.

"…Get out!"

"Yes, ma'am."

Amamiya left without a word, his expression serious, his gaze steady as he avoided glancing around.

"I didn't see anything."

To be fair, that wasn't much of an exaggeration—Miss Kaguya, with all her composure, was hardly trying to attract any extra attention.

But then—

'Bam.'

The door of the activity room abruptly swung open.

Amamiya's brows knit together instantly.

The room wasn't exactly expansive; it had a few cabinets, a sofa, a round table, but nowhere for anyone to hide.

And in the very next second, he felt a soft impact against his back.

In her rush, Kaguya had hidden behind him, her mortification barely held in check. Swallowing her pride, she had instinctively made the best choice available.

"Don't come in!" Amamiya called out quickly, raising his voice toward the door.

In the same moment, his mind raced. He considered quickly taking off his jacket to hand to Kaguya.

'Wait.'

There wasn't enough time to undress, but then he remembered a different solution.

Yesterday, he'd picked up a dressing card from the silver-haired loli. Swiftly, Amamiya reached into his game inventory, pulling out the card and passing it to Kaguya.

Kaguya grabbed the card, instantly understanding. With determination, she bit her lip and activated the card, choosing to use it without the slightest hesitation.

In the next second, a sleek black bunny-girl costume materialized on Kaguya's body.

At the same time—

Reflexes take time to process, and the person outside the door had a particularly long one.

"Huh?"

The door remained half-open, and standing there was a familiar face with short hair—it was Kashiwagi Asuka, a classmate and fellow member of the gaming club.

"Ah, sorry, I didn't know you were in here, Amamiya…" she apologized, but then her eyes drifted over his shoulder.

In the next moment, her eyes widened.

"I—I didn't see anything!" she stammered, lowering her gaze and quickly starting to back away.

"Wait." Amamiya's voice was firm.

Kashiwagi froze, then turned back to him, her expression pleading.

"Come inside," he said. "Close the door behind you."

"…"

Kashiwagi's face paled, and she stepped cautiously into the room, closing the door with the demeanor of a small animal caught in a trap. She felt certain she had stumbled upon something she shouldn't have, and now feared she'd never be allowed to leave.

With the immediate crisis resolved, Amamiya turned his attention to the young lady behind him.

The instant costume card had worked its magic.

In a mere heartbeat, Kaguya was now "fully dressed."

A pair of black bunny ears sat atop her head, with one ear flopping down lazily. A black bow was tied just over her chest, and her wrists sported cuffs to complete the outfit's theme.

Her long legs were adorned in black fishnet stockings, showcasing just a sliver of pale skin. The tight black bodysuit fit snugly, highlighting her slender waist… though her chest remained so modest it bordered on heartbreakingly sparse.

It was, in short, an outfit that had no place in a school.

Amamiya met Kaguya's gaze.

The girl was half-kneeling, arms still instinctively covering herself, her cheeks flushed pink with embarrassment. Her crimson eyes shimmered with unshed tears, and her usual aloofness was replaced with a vulnerability that seemed to invite the urge to tease her further.

"…"

Almost without thinking, Amamiya reached for his phone.

'Click.'

It felt like missing a golden opportunity if he didn't capture this moment.

Kaguya's eyes flew open, her expression shifting from shock to indignation.

He had ignored her distress to take a picture? The nerve!

"Turn yourself in!" she shouted, a mix of fury and embarrassment shaking her voice.

Amamiya chuckled, raising a thumbs-up. "Self-reporting sounds fair."

Seeing her reaction, however, he decided to quit while he was ahead. Stowing his phone away, he headed for the door. "I'll deal with Kashiwagi-san. Don't worry—I'll stand watch and keep anyone else from coming in."

As he passed Kashiwagi, Amamiya leaned in and said, "Come with me."

"…"

Kashiwagi had no choice but to follow, her shoulders hunched with trepidation as they left the room.

'Click.'

The door closed firmly behind them.

"Kashiwagi, Kashiwagi…" Amamiya sighed. "Why is it always you?"

Kashiwagi leaned back against the wall, gazing up at him with a mixture of unease and frustration. "It was Chika-chan who asked me to grab something from the room—I had no idea you and Shinomiya-san were in there."

"Then let's keep this under wraps," Amamiya said in a low tone. "Don't even think about writing it in a diary. If Shinomiya-san gets wind of this, I'm not sure I can protect you."

Kashiwagi nodded quickly, covering her lips with both hands. "Not a word. And I don't keep a diary anyway."

Amamiya nodded approvingly. "Now, if I told you what you saw was just an accident, would you believe me?"

"…Not really." Kashiwagi hesitated for a second, then shook her head.

A glance back toward the door reminded her of the bunny-girl outfit. Accidental or not, that image would not be erased from her mind anytime soon.

"Still…" she muttered, gathering a bit of courage. "Since Amamiya-kun is already… close to Shinomiya-san, maybe you should stop seeing Chika-chan so much."

"…"
