Chapter 36: Weather Change

In the Novel Naviga remembered from her old life, this place barely held any weight. The weakest galaxy, the so-called first level galaxy, was almost never mentioned. At most, it appeared once or twice in passing, nothing more than a footnote in the grand tale of heroes and great clans. No treasures of worth, no legendary battles—just a backdrop that nobody cared about.

But for Naviga, now walking these burning plains at Minerva's side, that very neglect made the place shine brighter in her mind.

If the original main character didn't bother with this galaxy… then that means everything here is untouched, she thought, her lips curving faintly. All the hidden treasures, all the resources, all the overlooked inheritances—still here, still waiting. Enough to reshape someone's foundation if they're brave enough to take them.

She glanced at her young miss, Minerva. The girl's crimson robes moved lightly in the heated wind, her expression calm but focused. Naviga's eyes softened for a moment before her assassin's instinct cooled her thoughts again.

Even if they found nothing rare, even if the dungeon turned out to be barren, this place was still valuable. Here, away from the eyes of their families and rivals, they could test their true strength. Measure how far they had come, see what weaknesses still lurked in their techniques.

Either way, Naviga felt her blood stir. The path ahead might hold danger, but it also carried opportunity. And for someone who had lived one life already, the unknown wasn't something to fear. It was something to seize.

The loud boom faded, and in the blink of an eye, the world around them shifted.

The scorching heat that had clung to their skin was gone. A chill swept over them, sharp and clean, like they had stepped into the mouth of winter. The same endless plain stretched in every direction, but the air itself carried the bite of ice. Their breaths misted faintly, though no snow or frost could be seen on the ground. It was as if the land and the air belonged to two different worlds.

Minerva slowed, her crimson eyes narrowing slightly. She turned her head, giving Naviga a calm but meaningful glance. "It seems," she said, her tone steady, "we've crossed into another section of the dungeon."

Naviga nodded, her sharp senses on edge. The invisible barrier they had passed through must have been a boundary. Different zones, different climates… perhaps different dangers.

Minerva looked ahead into the misty horizon. "If we keep walking, we might find the true ice lands this air belongs to."

Naviga's lips curved faintly, her hand brushing the edge of her dagger. "Then let's walk, Miss.

The two of them stepped forward, the cold wind brushing past their hair.

They pressed on through the plain, step after step, and the further they walked, the colder the air became. The chill clung to their clothes and seeped into their bones.

For Minerva, whose body carried the blazing essence of fire, the cold was like a constant needle against her skin. It wasn't unbearable—her strength allowed her to endure far worse—but it was uncomfortable, a slow gnawing that kept her spirit tense. Her fire essence wanted to flare out instinctively, to burn away the chill, yet she forced it down with firm control. Wasting energy here would be foolish.

Naviga, on the other hand, felt the opposite. The moment the icy wind brushed against her, her body relaxed as if it had finally returned home. Her element wasn't specifically ice, but the Yin within her contained every aspect of Yin energy. Ice was Yin. Cold was Yin. Every breath of this frozen air sank naturally into her meridians, soothing and nourishing them.

While Minerva's body resisted the cold, Naviga almost wished they could stay here forever. Her steps grew lighter, her senses sharper, her skin glowing faintly as if the Yin energy was polishing her from within. She tilted her head up, closing her eyes for a brief moment, and let the chill caress her like a lover's hand.

"This place…" she murmured, more to herself than anyone else, "feels like heaven."

Minerva glanced at her, the faintest smile tugging at the corner of her lips despite her discomfort. "Good. Then you'll be my shield here. I'll rely on your Yin."

Naviga's eyes opened, a playful glint sparking in their depths. "Of course, Miss. Leave this cold to me."

Naviga shifted her position without a word, stepping just half a pace ahead of Minerva. The flow of Yin essence from her body formed a faint, invisible wall, softening the biting cold before it reached her young miss. Minerva instantly noticed the difference—though the chill still brushed her skin like icy needles, it no longer sank so deep into her flesh. The discomfort lessened, and she allowed herself a small breath of relief.

They continued onward like this, their footsteps echoing faintly across the endless plain. Time slipped by slowly; the monotony of white air and flat land stretched unbroken for what felt like forever. Two hours passed before anything changed.

Then, ahead of them, the scenery shifted. In the far distance, something unusual appeared in the pale sky—an orb of deep, luminous blue, radiating an otherworldly glow. It hung low, almost as if it pressed against the horizon itself.

Minerva narrowed her eyes. "That… is it a sun? No, it doesn't burn. The light is too soft."

Naviga tilted her head, studying it with keen eyes. The glow wasn't sharp like firelight but cool and steady, washing the plains in faint azure. It looked like a moon, yet its size and brilliance made it seem more like a frozen sun.

"Maybe it's neither," Naviga said casually, though her gaze lingered on it longer than she let on. "Could be a mountain shaped by essence, or maybe a moon dragged close to this place. Hard to tell from here."

Whatever it was, its presence shifted the atmosphere. The cold air grew heavier, tinged with a strange vitality that made Naviga's Yin-rich body happy with energy. Minerva, however, felt her fire essence grow restless, sparks of heat clashing with the oppressive chill as though her very being rejected the sight.

Still, both of them knew one thing: that blue light wasn't ordinary. And sooner or later, they would have to approach it.

The further they walked, the stronger that strange blue glow became. It shimmered faintly in the distance, but no matter how sharp their eyes were, they couldn't fully make out what it really was. The land stayed empty, the plain stretching endlessly beneath their feet, and the silence made every sound of their steps feel louder than it should.

Then—

A sudden rush of air cut through the quiet.

Naviga's head snapped up, her instincts tell something . Something Approaching from the long distance sky—fast. Too fast for the eye to properly catch. No,it not they can't see that, but it coming from long distance sky.

Minerva tensed immediately, her hand already hovering near her Storage ring. "Navi, Something's coming!"

Naviga narrowed her eyes, her body alert. She couldn't see it clearly yet, but there was no mistaking it—this wasn't some illusion. A flying monster was diving straight toward them.
