Chapter 21: Finding Entrance

Naviga used the goggles to scan the Fogbound Scurry while instructing the AI chip to analyze the body. The results were the same as with the Clayback Frog. She proceeded to perform similar examinations on the Electric Viper, Zephyr Talon, and Flame Tail Simian.

Each creature exhibited body part transplants: the Electric Viper had the eyes of the Flame Tail Simian, and the Zephyr Talon had the eyes of the Electric Viper.

After carefully examining all five beasts in the tubes, Naviga concluded that the researcher was likely attempting to create a new bloodline.

The transplantation of body parts seemed to be an experiment to determine if one monster could use the abilities of another through organ or body part integration.

She determined that the experiment was a failure since the researcher did not achieve the intended results but instead created a new type of bacteria.

Naviga could not discern whether this bacteria was part of the researcher's plan or an unintended consequence, nor could she ascertain if it was dangerous.

After her analysis, Naviga turned to Minerva and said, "Miss, it seems the researcher was trying to create a new bloodline."

"You know how bloodline magic cultivators are more powerful than those without bloodlines. This could have been the goal—or perhaps they were pursuing something else, like this bacteria.

As for the body parts, it's clear they were testing if one monster's abilities could be transferred to another. A total psycho. What should we do now, Miss?"

Minerva pondered this for a moment before responding. "I think your conclusions are correct. The researcher may have had other motives, but either way, I doubt anything truly valuable is left here".

"Take a sample of the black blood in a tube. Once that's done, destroy everything here. Then, let's find the pathway to the next volcanic mountain."

Naviga nodded and stood up. She walked over to the marble racks, retrieved a tube, and carefully collected a sample of the black blood from the body parts.

After sealing the tube with a small sealing talisman, she placed it in her storage ring. Then, she placed the gloves, dagger, and other used items on to ground.

Naviga cast a water magic spell to clean her hands and face before rejoining Minerva.

Meanwhile, Minerva placed several fire talismans on the walls.

As the two prepared to leave, the talismans activated, ensuring the destruction of the lab.

Together, they walked out, ready to continue their journey to the next volcanic mountain.

After destroying the lab, they returned to the tunnel. Minerva turned to Naviga and said, "Navi, I think the researcher likely knew the path to the next volcano.

" It's possible he controlled it, destroyed it, or even created this lab to cover up the true pathway to the next volcano. "

"He might have even been the one who made that tunnel. We need to examine the tunnel walls again. "

"If we can't find anything, we'll fly to the volcano."

Naviga nodded in agreement. They searched the tunnel walls thoroughly, but despite their efforts, they found no clues.

Naviga even returned to the ruined lab to look for any hidden pathways or mechanisms leading to the next volcano, but there was nothing.

After searching for more than five hours, they came up empty-handed and decided to leave the tunnel.

Exiting the cave, they stepped into the open space, where Minasa appeared in front of them. "Young Miss," she said to Minerva, "I think it's better to rest and eat before continuing the search."

Minerva nodded in agreement. Minasa cast a more powerful light to illuminate the area of the fire giants, and they all sat down to eat.

After an hour of rest and food, minasa vanished ,Naviga and Minerva resumed their search for the way to the next volcano.

The surrounding area had many caves beyond the fire giants' leader's cave.

Minerva and Naviga began searching every cave, hoping to find a hidden pathway that would lead them to the next volcano.

Minerva walked into one of the most inconspicuous caves, located in the far corner of the area.

Its entrance was lower than most, with a height of around 220 cm. The inside was no different from the other caves—simple and unremarkable.

The heat inside was moderate, suggesting it might have been a cave for a newborn fire giant or an ordinary one.

She ventured deep into the cave, carefully examining and touching every corner, but found nothing.

Disappointed, she prepared to leave. However, as she retraced her steps toward the entrance, she continued to touch the walls, determined to confirm her findings.

Just as she neared the cave's mouth, she suddenly paused.

There was a subtle change in the wall's texture—almost imperceptible—but it caught her attention.

Although uncertain, she decided to test it further. Using Universal Essence, she pressed her hand against the area.

There was no movement or damage, so she slapped the spot firmly. To her surprise, a crack became visible.

Delighted, Minerva realized this was different.

She had used Universal Essence on every wall inside the cave before, and none had shown any signs of weakness—it had been like striking iron.

But here, cracks appeared. Curious and determined, she punched the cracked area with Universal Essence, causing the cracks to widen and bulge.

Excited by her discovery, Minerva retrieved her sword from her storage space. Channeling Universal Essence into it, she thrust it into the bulging, cracked area.

The sword pierced through effortlessly, as if the wall had been hollow all along.

This success filled her with pride. She had proven her instincts correct and avoided the risk of flying to the next mountain, which would likely attract enemies.

Though she could have called Minasa for help, her heir's pride made her determined to accomplish this on her own.

Minerva focused her efforts, thrusting her sword again with more precision and power. Cracks spread like intricate spiderwebs across the wall, growing larger with each thrust until the cracks spanned the size of a human.

Then, with a loud boom, the wall collapsed, revealing a cave-like mouth entrance.

The sound of the destruction echoed through the area, catching Naviga's attention.

She hurried over from another cave she had been searching, just in time to see the newly revealed passage.

The walls of the entrance were coated with a thick layer of mud mixed with clay, volcanic residue, and reddish-brown earth.

Minerva immediately took out a fire talisman and placed it against the wall.

With another resounding boom, the talisman detonated, destroying more of the obstructive layers inside the path. Dust and waves of heat pushed aside the cave, clearing the way further.

Without hesitation, Minerva placed another fire talisman on the wall near the cave mouth.

The explosion this time completely destroyed the remaining barrier, creating a wide tunnel-like entrance.

The once-hidden path to the next volcano became visible, its opening dimly illuminated by the ambient glow of molten heat further inside.

Minerva turned to Naviga and said, "It seems this is the entrance to the next volcano. That researcher really went to great lengths to seal it off."

Naviga nodded, taking the lead as she ignited a small flame in her hand to light their way. Minerva followed closely behind, the two moving cautiously into the revealed tunnel.
