Chapter 16
Now, at least the history of this sunken city, the temple and these, no doubt, powerful relics is known. In fact, my luck is surprisingly great, since I accidentally managed to find this place hidden under the water. I was also lucky to notice the presence of the barrier.
It would be a shame if I just sailed away and left all these mountains of gold behind. With such a treasure, I can found an entire country, and even remain for petty expenses. In fact, now I will never again have to worry about the lack of money, because if I sell all this, I will receive billions of precious ones.
I don't have to work anymore, I don't even have to join Fairy Tail. I can just buy myself some kind of mansion by the sea, hire servants and live like cheese, rolling in oil.
Or I can build a trading empire and become the richest man in the world. Why what, but I have enough capital for this. Although, I'm not sure if I know how to run a business...
Well, it's all plans for the future. I'll decide what to do next when I'm settled enough in Fiore. But for now, I will still join Fairy Tail, because as far as I remember, in Fiore, a Mage who has not joined any guild is not put in anything, even if he is strong.
I do not want to be an outcast because of this, besides, thanks to the implementation of many difficult tasks, I can get a good reputation and fame, which I can then use to your advantage.
Especially if I become an S-Rank Magician, which I plan to do this year, since they are given the most difficult tasks, which usually come from nobles or royalty, who can make acquaintances and use it later. But that's later, but for now I need to sort out all this precious junk.
First, I will sort out all the treasures and sort them, and then I will deal with the relics of Poseidon. Fortunately, I do not need to do it all manually, otherwise who knows how long it would take.
With the help of a couple of spells, after twenty minutes, many formless mountains of treasure were sorted and divided into different categories.
The first category is a couple of hundred bars of a magical, light, silvery-blue metal. It was this metal that I found in the city. Thanks to the records of the clergyman, I learned the name of this metal and its properties.
It's called Aquamarine, and it's a unique magical metal that was mined in the archipelago before it sank. Most likely, now it is very rare, so I was lucky again.
Basically, it's just a very light and hard metal that conducts Ethernano well. It is ideal to use for creating artifacts. Especially, based on Water Ethernano. The Armor of the King of the Seas is just made of this metal.
Then there were gold bars, thousands of gold bars. As a result, several towers of golden bricks turned out, just like a real Fort Knox. There were several dozen more towers nearby, but they were made of silver, which was more, and platinum, which was smaller, but also not enough. Apparently, platinum is also valued in this world.
There were not only ingots, but also various coins, but there were millions of them in general, so I didn't even begin to count, but simply threw everything into one pile.
Also were mountains of ordinary jewelry that didn't give a damn, but I chose some nice rings and bracelets that I can use to create new Dimensional Vaults for all this wealth later. But then it got more interesting.
Firstly, there were a huge number of completely different Lacrimas. Although, most of them were Water Lacrims. These magic stones will always come in handy, there are never enough of them. Also, I wanted to experiment with my version of the Enchant, and that would require a large amount of Lacrima. Now at least you don't have to buy them.
The other pile now contained all of the Magic Items. For the most part, they were just household trinkets, like magic lamps, so they did not interest me. I have already seen these in the stores of the Alvares Empire.
Well, finally, there are three most interesting groups. The first is Magic Weapons and Equipment. These are all enchanted artifacts that have various magical effects. There were cool items, like the Fire Sword or the Wind Signets, but they weren't all that impressive artifacts.
Objectively, I don't need them at all. They are not suitable for me, and besides, I can recreate many of these effects myself thanks to my magic. And I already have a better alternative in the form of Armor and Axe, on a plinth.
The only thing that really caught my attention was a pair of metal bracers. There was nothing special about them, they were simple bracers crafted from Aquamarine, enchanted for increased protection, durability, and strength.
They also have a customization feature, as well as an increase in protective properties, if nourished with Etherano. The more Magic Power the user puts into the bracers, the stronger the bracers themselves will be.
I just liked them in appearance, and when I saw them, one idea arose in my head. I originally wanted to create some more Spartial Rings for new things, but now I've decided to use these bracers.
I thought that it would be inconvenient to have two dozen rings in which my things would be stored, because I would not be able to wear them all at once. I have to constantly change the rings. In addition, I do not want to wear these same rings on all fingers, since this is not very convenient. Now, I want to use these bracers.
I will remake them a bit, insert several Lacrimas into each, and attach a separate storage to each Lacrima. So, I will have several separate inventories with me at once, which do not interfere with me and besides, I will have additional protection on my hands.
And considering that in the future, I plan to learn Spartial Magic from Erza, I can hide the bracers at any time and call them back when I need them. In my opinion, the ideal option. I will do this later.
In the meantime, I'll tell you about the last things that remain. Unlike previous times, these were not huge mountains, but only five items, two categories.
The first four things are Cursed Magic Items. I read about them in books that I bought back in Alignon, and as you might guess, these things do not bode well. Cursed Items are not very common, and even in this Temple, which essentially contains all the treasures of Atlantis, there were only four of them.
All such items are incredibly dangerous and have curses on them that are sure to sooner or later, their master will be killed. There was a sword, a medallion, a helmet and a ring. And how good it was that I thought of not taking risks and not touching things with my hands, but doing everything with the help of magic and checking them with an analyzing spell.
From what the spell told me, the ring is cursed with deadly poison. Just by touching it, I would receive a dose of poison that would begin to kill me. And on the medallion is the curse of dehydration, which, if put on the medallion, will begin to draw all the moisture out of the body, until the person literally turned into a mummy. And you can't remove the medallion.
On the helmet, and the sword of the curse is even worse, so it's better to destroy these things altogether. I'll do it when I'm done. But the last thing is really special.
If not for the analysis, I would never have known what her effects are. It was an earring called "Earring of Luck" and it was a Blessed Item. I have never heard of such a thing, there was nothing about it in my books, and given that there is only one such person here, it can be assumed that this is a very rarity.
As the name suggests, this earring has an Eternal Luck Blessing that increases the wearer's luck tenfold. A kind of rabbit's foot, in the form of an earring.
Luckily, the earring was masculine and matched my style as it was silver in color with a dark blue gemstone. Also, the effect is very good, so I immediately decided to equip it.
Taking the earring, I brought it to my left ear and in one fell swoop made a hole, after which I fixed the jewelry. At that moment, my body was slightly lit up with white light, after which the light simply disappeared and I did not feel any more changes.
'I hope it works.' - I thought, removing the blood from my ear with a spell.
Luck is never superfluous and only she can decide a lot. Well, let's wait and see how increased luck will affect my life, and what fate will prepare for me.
Now, before I get to the relics, I need to finish the bracers and distribute all the treasures to the dimensional pockets. This is what I did.
Taking twenty of the largest empty lacrimas, the size of my head, I shrunk them down after imbuing them with my Magic Power and started implanting them into my bracers. Ten minutes later, ten small Lachryms were attached to each bracer.
After that, the process of enchantment began. Fortunately, this was not the first time, so I just worked according to the established scheme, and in half an hour everything was ready. Satisfied with my work, I rolled up the sleeves of my shirt to keep them out of the way and put both bracers on my hands.
The enchantment cast on them immediately activated, and the bracers shrunk slightly to fit my size. The bracers were now a silvery-blue color and had ten small diamond-shaped crystals to which spatial storages were tied, each measuring 250 m². Luckily, I didn't mess up and the bracers retained their previous enchantments.
Checking that everything is working I began to put the treasures in different inventories. Later I will also transfer things from my first ring. I still need to deal with Larcade's body and belongings.
Having moved everything that was on the floor of the Temple, except for cursed objects and pedestals with relics, I left the Temple almost empty. Now this place looks even bigger.
Finally, I destroyed the cursed items with an erasure spell. There is no reason for such things to exist at all. Although the items are actually high-end, but the curses on them are far from simple. It's better not to risk it.
Well, nex, I just have to finish reading the books about the relics and then pick them up. Let's not forget those two books that I managed to get in the city.
Also I need to check other rooms of the Temple. Although, most likely, there will be nothing else here, except for the body of the clergyman, but suddenly what kind of library has been preserved here. This will be helpful too.
And also, I need to check Larkima, which feeds the protective barrier. It has been working continuously for 350 years, it is quite possible that it is already on its last legs. I don't want the barrier to suddenly disappear and all this water fall on my head.
In addition, this is a chic place, perfectly protected and hidden to the conscience. I think I'll create my own secret base here. Every self-respecting Mage should have one.
Well, although I have already learned something about the Armor and the Ax, it is worth reading all the books to find out all the secrets of these magical artifacts. And the other two books should also have useful information. It seems there should even be a ritual to become a Dragon Slayer, as well as tutorial information on Take-Over Magic.
