Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Natasha worry
The evening air was cool, and the house was quiet as Natasha finished her homework at the dining table. She glanced at the clock and realized that Alex had been in his room for hours, completely engrossed in Jungle Quest. She decided it was time to check on him."Alex, it's dinner time," she called out as she ascended the stairs, expecting the usual grumbled response or the sound of him reluctantly pausing his game. But there was only silence. Natasha knocked on his door, waiting for an answer."Alex?" she repeated, this time with a hint of concern in her voice. When there was still no reply, she pushed the door open slowly, peering inside. The room was eerily quiet. The computer screen glowed with the familiar jungle landscape of the game, but the chair in front of it was empty. Natasha's eyes darted around the room, expecting to see her brother somewhere nearby. The bed was unmade, and clothes were strewn across the floor, but Alex was nowhere to be seen."Alex?" she called out again, louder this time, as she checked the bathroom and closet. Panic started to build in her chest as she quickly scanned the room for any sign of him.Natasha hurried downstairs, her mind racing. Maybe he had stepped outside for a moment? She opened the front door and called his name into the evening air, but the only response was the rustling of leaves in the breeze. She checked the backyard and the garage, but there was no sign of Alex.Fear gripped her as she returned to the house and grabbed her phone. She dialed their parents' numbers, her fingers trembling. Her mother answered on the second ring.
