Jujutsu Kaisen: I Have A Gardevoir

Chapter 107: Ch.107 "How Dare You—"

Akira left without any hesitation. Everything that needed to be said had already been said. If the other side insisted on their own way, Akira would only have to use his strength to enforce his will.

How his biological mother felt was none of Akira's concern.

From the moment she decided to sever ties, they became like strangers.

If she dared to harm his people, then she shouldn't blame him for retaliating. Aside from not directly attacking her, there wasn't much Akira wouldn't do.

As for his so-called maternal family, sorry, but Akira never received anything from them, so there's no reason for him to care about their feelings.

As for the clan head, his father, Akira didn't plan to actively attack him or be too aggressive.

Unlike his biological mother, who left a terrible impression, Akira didn't dislike his father.

He hadn't been overly indulgent just because Akira was the legitimate son, nor had he treated him coldly simply because Akira was once seen as "useless."

From beginning to end, his attitude had been consistent, fulfilling his duty as a father.

The biggest decision—to remove him from the family registry—had been orchestrated from start to finish by the matriarch, with the clan head only stepping in for cleanup when necessary.

Perhaps it was because all his bloodlines were equal to him.

Or perhaps he simply stayed behind the scenes, pushing his wife into the spotlight.

Regardless, he had never been too harsh on his children, even when making choices for the family's benefit, and always made an effort to not take things to the extreme.

Akira still remembered the last time he left home. It was his father who personally saw him off, saying nothing more than usual.

He merely said, "Live well—not for anyone else, but for yourself."

Akira didn't think his father would act against him or Hayami—at least not in the short term. Whether it was out of sentiment or practicality—after all, a near-special-grade sorcerer with Gojo Satoru's backing was no pushover.

Thus, Akira, too, would leave things at that.

He believed that, with his father's intelligence, the underlying meaning of his actions would be perfectly clear.

This unspoken understanding between father and son was also the real intention behind Akira's visit to Kyoto.

Of course, regarding his selfish and short-sighted mother—he would not be lenient and would need to hit harder.

As he rounded the corner of the street, he sensed several hidden presences. Akira called softly:

"Darkrai, give them a lesson."

The shadow-like Pokémon, Darkrai, moved swiftly under the cover of darkness, and soon chaotic cursed energy, ragged breaths, and cries of pain echoed through the streets at dawn.

Akira knew his "convenient mother" too well. Whether for security purposes or to maintain the matriarch's image, she would never travel with just one old butler.

These people were there to ensure her safety, and they were also executors of some dirty work.

For five years after leaving home, they had been the ones watching over Hayami's life in Shikoku. Akira had no favorable impression of them.

Seeing them still daring to keep tabs on him, he had no choice but to make them understand their place—using the methods they were most familiar with.

Yesterday, you ignored me. Today, I will make you unable to reach me.

"Stay away from me and those around me, or this won't just be a lesson."

After leaving those words, Akira strode away.

Because he hadn't hidden his actions, the entire scene was seen by the clan matriarch and the old butler, causing the matriarch's face to darken in fury, as she cursed angrily, "That ungrateful child—how dare he—how dare he—"

The butler returned to his usual demeanor, clasping his hands into his sleeves, ignoring the lady's outburst.

The lady was merely venting her anger; it wasn't that she didn't understand.

How dare he?

Because he had the strength to easily beat a Grade 1 Sorcerer—more than enough to move freely in Kyoto.

Ultimately, it was all a result of that one wrong decision back then.

They thought Akira had no talent, so they distanced themselves from him. That was fine, but they also imposed many strict limits.

They monitored him for five years.

They were stingy with living expenses.

At first, the master intended to give a large sum of money, so that Akira and his mother could live a comfortable life abroad.

If she had considered the family bond more, Akira wouldn't be this resolute.

There clearly were better ways to handle things, and it was clearly a real opportunity to rise up and even step out of Gojo Satoru's shadow.

Now, having missed that chance, it was no wonder the clan matriarch was in a foul mood.

But ultimately, she was not an ordinary woman. Once the hidden guards around her had regrouped, she stopped cursing.

It was only then that the butler spoke up: "Madam, what about Lady Hayami—?"

"You still call her 'lady'?" The matriarch's brows furrowed.

The butler, looking helpless, corrected himself: "Should we halt the actions against Ms. Hayami?"

"A joke. She's just a mere servant. Why should I care?" The matriarch's anger had not yet subsided.

"Madam—Young Master Akira has already noticed your plans. He doesn't seem to be bluffing. Although we don't have exact information about his 'Pokémon Manipulation,' it's reasonable to assume that he has left guardians around Ms. Hayami, much like Suguru Geto's 'Cursed Spirit Manipulation.' Moreover, Gojo Satoru's reaction must be considered—Tokyo, after all, is his territory."

The butler's expression remained unchanged; only he could make such an argument in moments like these.

"That ungrateful child? So devoted? He acts like this toward me, and you're saying that woman bewitched him somehow?"

"The reason doesn't matter."

"You're right; that's true. But a mere servant expecting me to step back is absolutely impossible. I'm just giving a warning—I don't believe that brat would actually dare do anything to me."

The butler's mouth twitched—she had stepped back after all. Initially, it wasn't just a "warning."

This didn't escape the matriarch's eyes: "Did I say something wrong?"

"No," the butler quickly shook his head. This was not a time to tread on a minefield. "I'll go notify the people in Tokyo, instructing them to be cautious and not to offend, so as not to lose face for you, Madam."

"Wrong. They must not bring disgrace to the clan head or to me," the matriarch corrected.

"Understood."

"Let's go back."

"Yes, Madam."

The butler leaned forward and opened the car door.

As the lady put one foot into the car, she suddenly paused, withdrew her foot, and turned her head: "You mentioned 'Cursed Spirit Manipulation' earlier. That dangerous curse user, who was promoted alongside Gojo Satoru—Suguru Geto—"

"Yes, Madam. It's indeed Suguru Geto's Cursed Technique," the butler responded, unsure of her meaning. "Madam, why do you ask—?"

"Nothing. I just remember hearing the master mention that Suguru Geto is currently in Kyoto. His relationship with the higher-ups in the Alliance is a bit strange. What do you think would happen if he and Akira met—'Cursed Spirit Manipulation' meeting 'Pokémon Manipulation'?"

The butler quickly waved his hands. "It's hard to say—that's far beyond my area of expertise."

"It's just idle talk. Consider it an irresponsible guess."

"Young Master Akira's 'Pokémon Manipulation' hasn't shown its full potential yet. For now, it seems inferior to 'Cursed Spirit Manipulation.' I've heard that Suguru Geto possesses over a thousand Cursed Spirits. While it's true that Akira's Pokémon are of high quality, Suguru should also have Special Grade and a considerable number of Grade 1 Cursed Spirits. If the young master lacks sufficient numbers, he'd likely lose against Suguru."

"I see."

Upon hearing this, the lady not only showed no worry but instead smiled a little.

"Keep an eye on both of them. Although there's no evidence, my intuition tells me they will cross paths, and when that happens... perhaps an opportunity will present itself."

"Yes, I will personally take care of this matter," the butler replied with a bow.

Why handle it personally?

Because if someone else went, they might end up killed by these two exceptionally strong individuals.

In fact, he had considered advising the lady not to wade into these muddy waters. However, the lady wasn't one to let go so easily, and besides, he was genuinely curious—what kind of spark would fly when the renowned "Cursed Spirit Manipulation" collided with the mysterious "Pokémon Manipulation"?

PS: Some might think that the matriarch's actions are a bit foolish, but if she weren't, she wouldn't have done something as reckless as switching children. From the demeanor of the original Kamo Noritoshi, it's clear that this grudge has been remembered. The only good ending I can think of for her is dying before the head does; otherwise, if Noritoshi becomes the head, he certainly won't let her live comfortably. Switching children isn't unheard of, but usually, they are infants with no memory—switching an eight-year-old is really foolish.
