Chapter 6: Honesty
"1004...1005...10006" I was counting the amount of push-ups I could do without being strained to the limit. Being in the thousands albeit barely was a big accomplishment showing of how fa I had grown.
I started tour the base one last time, it would be the last day before I departed to the jujutsu world to exorcise curses and make a name for myself. With creativity and curses in my head then I don't see anyone stopping me.
Though stats and statistics said there were loads who were stronger than me, in my world I was the strongest and no one would be able to change that.
[We are not wrong you have an almost zero chance of beating any of the heavy-weights in this world, stop inflating your ego and accept the truth]
Sometimes I wonder if this system will stop speaking out of turn and only activate when I tell it to. It has become to comfortable around me and I wasn't taking none of that.
[Without my help your journey would be more difficult than you can handle the level of dedication that you put to becoming the best is lacking even so you have the nerve to proclaim you are the best]
"Jeez stop it already I'm getting better and soon I'll be able to compete up there it's just a matter o time," I said softly but at the end I raised my tone up a little bit.
Like I was saying before I was interrupted, my journey to becoming the best is only beginning and all that is missing is time. Once my army is ready this world shall know pain.
About the empire, I left a clone of myself which also has a replica of Orion and a tiny bit of the system. It should be even more powerful than me as of now but that will soon change.
{Will it though}
"Orion not you too!" I cried as even my own curse was slandering me, this bullying was going a step too far. Nevertheless I still needed to focus on what was important their mouths won't be running when I become the strongest.
{Remember when you had that stimulation with Gojo... You nearly died on the spot, if I had been defeated that easily I would have given up}
I could tell Orion was trying to wind me up but I had to be the bigger man.
"If you had given up after one lost then it shows you are weak-minded and don't have the drive to become better... one does not become better if they do not experience lost," I sounded like some chinese philosopher but I could tell that my words hit hard because Orion and the system didn't bother to reply.
Now that the distractions stopped talking to me I had to focus on the mission up ahead. After, getting out of the base I was greeted with fresh air and greenery. It was beatiful
Picture a lush mountainside, blanketed in a breathtaking tapestry of vibrant wildflowers. Rolling hills cascade down to meet a tranquil valley, where the grass glistens with morning dew. The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of blooms, carried by a gentle breeze that whispers through towering pines.
Clusters of fiery red poppies and cheerful yellow daisies mingle with delicate lavender and deep blue lupines, creating a kaleidoscope of colors. Ferns and mosses hug the rocky outcrops, while tendrils of ivy drape over fallen logs. Butterflies flit from flower to flower, their wings shimmering like tiny stained-glass windows.
Higher up, the mountain transitions into a forest of evergreen trees, their branches framing views of distant peaks crowned with a misty haze. A crystal-clear stream winds its way down, its bubbling waters reflecting the brilliant hues of the flowers that grow along its banks.
I nearly cried at such beauty.
However, I didn't want to get lost or rather entranced in the beauty of it all.
Here's a draft of the story:
The morning air felt crisp as I began my ascent up the trail, dew-soaked grass brushing against my boots. The sun had just peeked over the horizon, painting the mountainside in shades of gold and amber. Around me, a symphony of life was in full swing: birds chirping melodies from hidden perches, the hum of bees busy with their morning rounds, and the soft rustle of leaves stirred by a gentle breeze.
The trail wound through a meadow, where wildflowers stretched as far as the eye could see. Fiery reds, sunny yellows, and deep indigos painted the landscape in a riot of color, their sweet fragrance hanging heavy in the air. I paused, crouching down to run my fingers over the velvety petals of a lupine. Its purples mirrored the distant mountains, whose snow-capped peaks kissed the clouds.
A narrow stream trickled beside me, its waters crystal clear, reflecting the dancing light of the flowers on its banks. As I followed its path upward, the meadow gave way to a denser forest. The towering pines cast long shadows over the trail, their needles forming a soft carpet beneath my feet. Here, the scent of wildflowers blended with the earthy aroma of pine and damp soil, creating an intoxicating mix that felt almost otherworldly.
At the summit, I stopped to catch my breath, gazing at the city sprawled below. Its towers and spires glimmered in the sunlight, a stark contrast to the wild beauty surrounding me. I began the descent, the sounds of the forest fading as the hum of civilization grew louder.
The first signs of the city greeted me gently—a cobblestone path leading to an archway fringed with ivy. Beyond it, the streets were alive with color and movement, vendors calling out to passersby, children laughing as they darted between carts. The air, tinged with the scent of fresh bread and spices, felt electric with possibility.
I took some directions from the system and I arrived in roughly 20 minutes. It was surprising that the eye-catching land-scape was just behind the bustling streets. The city itself gave of an air of familiarity the only thing that felt off were the japanese letters.
"System give Orion information about japanese writing and speaking," I said inwardly to the system. I felt a beep and my brain all of a sudden knew japanese.
To be honest, this part of the town is not interesting me. Everything here is so plain and I can sense almost no cursed energy in this part of the town. And here I was thinking that I could meet an interesting curse or sorcerer. Instead this pitiful town graces me with happiness and joy instead of potential enemies or comrades. I had really wasted my time coming to this place, how come in a fifty mile radius I can only sense a bunch of fly-heads and nothing above Grade 3. How was this even possible with no jujutsu sorcerer around as well. I might have to bring some excitement to this place.
I focused my cursed energy to take the form of a talking bomb. Nothing nuclear but just explosive to the extreme. A talking mouth and eyes where other bombs come out not as explosive as the original but enough to bring some misery to this town. They would also all die after their use... no need to keep them alive.
It may be a bit extreme to mass murder an entire city but it would only hit around 1/4 of the entire place. This would surely be enough to create a curse that would suit me well. I could probably create a curse on par with the one that would come-out of this but it was better to have a partner. Plus I'm sure the moaning of thousands of people could probably create a disaster level curse which would require me my entire cursed energy pool and binding vows.
I smirked it's every anime fans dream to say this.
"Feel pain. Contemplate pain. Accept pain. One who does not know pain cannot possible understand true peace. I will never forget pain. And now the world shall now pain!"
[ALMIGHTY BOMB]
*BANG*
The screams of men and women alike all the same in the eyes of a judge. I felt a little bit of remorse but with as they no pain no gain. Plus I hope that my gamble would be able to produce what I wanted.
