Journey to the West: Treasure Vase of the Great Dao

Chapter 137: Powerful

Patriarch of the Nether River manipulated the Bull Demon King as he fought Red Child and Little Black Bear, meanwhile secretly communicating with his true self, preparing to use his true self's power to settle these two troublesome youngsters once and for all.

Little Black Bear and Red Child, however, grew excited by the battle. Little Black Bear threw back his head and roared, using Divine Skills to lift a huge mountain from nearby and press it towards the Bull Demon King's head.

Red Child refused to be outdone; flames engulfed his body, making him float in the air, Silver Spear in hand. Suddenly, a massive Flame Spear appeared in the air and shot straight towards the Bull Demon King.

"Open the Mountain!" the Bull Demon King roared. His Iron Rod struck the mountain brought by Little Black Bear. A thunderous boom resounded, and countless rocks fell from the sky; the Bull Demon King's formidable strength shattered the entire mountain.

Turning around, the Flame Spear of Red Child was already upon him; the Bull Demon King put forth all his strength, his muscles swelling, and with a full swing of his Iron Rod, sparks flew everywhere as the massive Flame Spear shattered, sending flames scattering around.

Among the flames and dust, the mighty figure of the Bull Demon King stood tall. This was the true strength of the Great Sage Who Pacifies Heaven, the Bull Demon King.

"Shake the Earth!" Another strike from the Bull Demon King, as his Iron Rod hit the ground. The immense force fractured the earth, the powerful shockwave rushing towards the incoming duo, instantly knocking the two youngsters away.

The Bull Demon King did not relent; his robust figure moved at almost invisible speed and quickly reached Red Child, his dark Iron Rod raised high, ready to smash down on him.

A bitter smile appeared on Red Child's face. Was he ultimately destined to die at his father's hand? Perhaps it was better this way, to accompany each other on the road to the Yellow Springs as a family.

But then, the Bull Demon King's attacking motion suddenly stopped, the Iron Rod he held high was lowered, a pained expression flashed across his face, the blood in his eyes flickering uncertainly.

"Go quickly!" said the Bull Demon King in a deep voice, devoid of the eeriness and ruthlessness of before, now filled with tenderness.

"Father!" Red Child shouted excitedly, looking deeply at the Bull Demon King before him, whose tender appearance was just like before.

"Never come back!" the Bull Demon King, pained, voiced out as he held his head, then suddenly grabbed Red Child and threw him away, the immense force making Red Child feel the scenery around him rapidly retreating.

The Bull Demon King moved as fast as lightning, quickly reaching Little Black Bear and repeating his action; soon after, Dragon Princess also joined this express ride, and quickly the three youngsters disappeared from sight before Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan.

Princess Iron Fan swiftly moved, preparing to chase, but was held down by the Bull Demon King's hand on her shoulder, unable to move.

"Don't even think about it!" the Bull Demon King said grimly.

An eerie smile appeared on Princess Iron Fan's beautiful face, "It seems I still underestimated you. I just slightly relaxed the suppression, and you managed to take back control of your body."

"But do you think those little ones can escape my palm?"

"Dream on!" the Bull Demon King strained to get these words out, then he fell into the most terrible agony, tormented by pain to the point of madness. Swinging his Iron Rod furiously, he created a powerful windstorm, wreaking havoc around him.

After a while, the chaotic attacks of the Bull Demon King ceased, and his eyes were once again filled with blood, his face revealing a sinister smile as he muttered, "You can't escape."

At the same time, Red Child and two others fell heavily from the sky, crashing onto the ground and creating a large pit. Soon after, the body of the Dragon Princess landed on top of them.

Looking up, they found themselves in a strange place. Surrounded by dense jungle, which had been flattened in a swath by the shockwave they created as they flew, the once orderly forest was now completely disheveled.

"Where are we?" the Dragon Princess asked, shaking her head, still dizzy from the rapid flight.

"I don't know!" Red Child said as he looked around.

The force of the Bull Demon King's attack was such that Red Child could no longer recognize the surroundings. The thought that his father had fought to his death to send him there brought pain to his heart.

"Red Child, don't be too sad. Seeing your father's condition, there might still be a chance for recovery. We can ask the Bodhisattva for help. If the Bodhisattva intervenes, your parents will definitely be saved."

However, just then, a violent wind roared past, and a robust shadow appeared in the sky. It was the Bull Demon King, carrying his Iron Rod, landing heavily on the ground. The impact cracked the earth and dust billowed. His towering figure stood amidst it, a large shadow looming over them, sending a chill up their spines.

"You cannot escape," said the Bull Demon King.

This time, the Bull Demon King was clearly exerting his full strength. It looked like the mastermind behind the scenes had completely taken control of him, and a more brutal battle was about to begin.

Little Black Bear and Red Child exchanged glances, both seeing the burgeoning desire for battle in each other's eyes.

Then, two towering auras erupted, whipping up a massive tempest that uprooted the surrounding trees. The wild beasts lurking nearby sensed this terrifying tempest and began to flee, sparking a massive exodus in the animal kingdom.

"Thunderclap!" the Bull Demon King shouted. Thunder seemed to rumble from his Iron Rod, directed straight at their faces. The tremendous force tore through the air, emitting a buzzing sound.

"Back off!" Little Black Bear stepped in front of the two, revealing his true form as a giant bear. He roared mightily, and instantly hard rocks encased his body, forming armor around him.

His bear paws bravely met the Bull Demon King's assault, sending another vast airwave from the epicenter that darkened the sky.

After a loud crash, Little Black Bear's great bear form slid backward several tens of meters, the hard rock armor now torn apart by the tremendous force, with deep wounds appearing on his body from which blood slowly seeped.

However, at that moment, Little Black Bear's eyes were filled with excitement. The crimson blood stimulated his nerves, awakening the power hidden within his body, derived from his bloodline from Ancient Times.

"I didn't expect there to be a little one like you left in this clan," the Bull Demon King said, looking at Little Black Bear with surprise. Controlled by the Patriarch of the Nether River, he recognized Little Black Bear's species. It was a ferociously infamous race from Ancient Times, believed by all to have been extinct during the Dragon Clan catastrophe. Yet now, here was a youngling before him.
