Yes, although Xuanzang and Jiang Ziya are both people of Destiny at the center of the Immeasurable Kalpa, their inherent strengths differ. Presumably, Xuanzang's power would bring him confidence?

"Indeed, indeed, Buddha's plan is certainly suitable!" Not daring to have opposing opinions, fearing Buddha would ask for their thoughts and then assign the task to them directly, the other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas quickly nodded in agreement.

Surveying the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas present, seeing them with their heads tucked in like quails.

Tathagata, after a moment of silence, focused his gaze on the Golden Hair Lion, saying: "As the Coordinator of the Journey to the West work, Golden Light Bodhisattva, matters related to the Westward Journey should be arranged by you. Are you willing to take on this responsibility?"

"Since it's a task assigned by Buddha, I naturally devote myself entirely!" Hearing Tathagata's words intending to entrust this task to him, being on the same front as Master Xuanzang, the Golden Hair Lion indeed showed no timidity, nodding in response.

Therefore, after nodding his approval, the Tathagata said, "After the grand task of the Journey to the West for Scriptures is accomplished, then the Bodhisattva of Golden Light shall also sit upon the Lotus Platform!"

The Tathagata made this promise in front of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas at the Great Thunder Monastery, causing everyone's expressions to change.

Sit upon the Lotus Platform as well? What does this mean? It's a promise of promotion to become a Buddha!

However, although everyone was astonished, considering that no one dared to take on the role of coordinator for the Journey to the West, yet the Golden Hair Lion dared!

Now, while everyone else did not dare to fulfill the destiny, the Golden Hair Lion dared too!

Despite feeling a bit envious, no one could raise any objections.

Seeing that no one dared to gossip after making such a promise, the Tathagata felt even better, waving his hand to let the Golden Hair Lion quickly go and arrange things.

Naturally, the matters that needed discussing at the Great Thunder Monastery had mostly been discussed, and after the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas bid farewell, they returned to their respective Taoist Arenas.

The Golden Hair Lion stepped on an auspicious cloud, flying towards the direction of the Purple Bamboo Forest, and naturally, along the way, many Bodhisattvas and Arhats, and even some Buddhas, congratulated him.

Listening to these congratulations, the Golden Hair Lion smiled and modestly responded with a few words before finally returning to the Purple Bamboo Forest.

To be honest, the promise given by the Tathagata made the Golden Hair Lion very happy inside.

Now, being on the same frontline with Xuanzang, the journey to the west for scriptures should not be dangerous, right?

After this is done, can I also become a Buddha? That would truly be a remarkable achievement.

However, that smile quickly faded. Judging from Master Xuanzang's actions, he doesn't seem to be aiming for the attainment of a golden body and righteous fruit, and with his fate held in Xuanzang's hands, what will be the final outcome?

The Golden Hair Lion really had no assurance in his heart.

"Alas, no matter what, I have no retreat now…" After thinking for a moment, the Golden Hair Lion also realized that his life was held in Jiang Liu's hands, and there was no turning back for him.
