Chapter 388: Uchiha Itachi's Imaginings
"I understand," Uchiha Itachi thought to himself.
In his heart, the purpose of this Red organization didn't seem bad, although it gave him a feeling of needless worry. From the performance of the guy in front of him, he really seemed to have the idea of sacrificing everything for the ninja world.
Perhaps, after he found out all the members of the Red organization within Konoha, he could have them align with Konoha.
"Does the organization have any special symbols?" asked Uchiha Itachi. Such secret organizations usually have symbols representing their identities, and with his abilities, he should be able to quickly identify who they were.
"Sorry, there aren't any," Haruno Sakura said with a faint smile. "Since I'm the leader, I will command everyone."
"Is that so?"
This was the worst-case scenario.
An organization with many members, if without identity symbols, could easily lead to confusion about members' identities causing conflicts in their missions.
However, in Konoha, other than the frequent conflicts between the Police Department and civilians, other clashes were rare, and mostly over trivial matters.
This indicated that under the leadership of the current leader, even if the members didn't know each other, they could still perfectly coordinate their actions.
This commanding ability!
It was truly terrifying!
For now, it seemed better to keep pretending ignorance.
Haruno Sakura released the Tsukuyomi, and when Uchiha Itachi opened his eyes, Kakashi's figure was already gone. After a moment of silence, he headed towards the Uchiha district.
"Master, this Uchiha Itachi is really troublesome, asking all sorts of questions, forcing me to make up a non-existent organization," Sakura complained to Sun Wukong.
"Sakura, you know? One lie has to be covered up with another," Sun Wukong's voice echoed in her heart. "Until the lie is no longer a lie."
"Master, aren't you overreacting? I doubt I'll ever appear before him as Kakashi again," said Sakura nonchalantly.
As she walked, Sakura arrived at the junction of the Uchiha clan and the commercial street, where there was a pancake shop emitting a rich aroma.
"Old man, it's almost 8:30 PM, are you still selling pancakes?" Sakura walked over and asked.
"Haha, I have no choice. Some ninjas return very late, and I need to prepare some supper for them. Little girl, would you like some pancakes?" the old man sitting at the pancake stand laughed heartily, appearing to be a happy-go-lucky type.
"Yeah, give me five," Sakura touched her stomach, feeling a bit hungry.
"Alright."
The old man got up, turned around to wrap up the pancakes for Sakura, but she noticed the Uchiha fan symbol on his back. This pancake seller was actually a member of the Uchiha clan.
"Old grandpa, are you from the Uchiha clan?" Sakura asked.
"Of course, I was a ninja when I was young! My name is Uchiha Tezuka!" Uchiha Tezuka had already wrapped the pancakes and handed them to Sakura. "Unfortunately, I fell seriously ill when I was young. My body became very weak, unable to control chakra, not even able to handle the basic Three-body Skill or go to the battlefield—"
"Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise."
"I talk too much now that I'm old, don't take it to heart, young lady. That will be two hundred ryō."
Sakura paid the money, took the pancakes: "Thank you."
"Welcome to visit again!"
"Sure, I absolutely will," Sakura assured Tezuka as she headed to Naruto's house. The place was guarded by Anbu, but that was hardly a challenge for Sakura, who easily deceived the Anbu with Illusion Technique and entered Naruto's house. She withdrew her clone from the bed and hugged Ino, thinking to herself, "Ino's little body is quite soft."
The next day.
As usual, Haruno Sakura woke up very early, took out her toiletries from her bag in Naruto's kitchen to freshen up, and then started to prepare breakfast using yesterday's leftover vegetables, eggs, and the instant noodles from Naruto's cupboard.
"Did the Haruno Family's girl get up so early?" An Anbu member noticed Sakura's activity, a bit puzzled.
"The children of poor families mature early, haven't you heard?" another Anbu member said indifferently. "It doesn't matter what she does; we just need to keep an eye on our target."
"Okay, okay, enough preaching; you really are no fun," the first one retorted.
"The mission is inherently no fun."
"Tsk—"
Sakura sensed their surveillance but didn't mind it, as long as they weren't watching her while she was freshening up. Otherwise, she wouldn't mind giving them a beating to teach them the consequences of peeping at a girl's body.
Fortunately, the ninjas of Konoha still had some discipline and did not cross the moral line.
"Sakura, you're up so early?"
Naruto rubbed his eyes, smelt the aroma, "Did you already make breakfast?"
"As the saying goes, 'The whole day's plan lies in the morning.'" Haruno Sakura hung a faint smile on her lips. "Breakfast is ready, egg noodle cups and the Uchiha pancakes, which I have reheated."
Then she glanced at her wristwatch, "It's already five o'clock. Let's wake up Ino and the others."
"Only five o'clock," Naruto groaned. "To get up so early, and it's already the holidays."
"Especially because it's the holidays, we should work even harder. Naruto, isn't your goal to become a Hokage? Besides knowledge, a Hokage needs to be diligent," Sakura said, bending down to pat Naruto's head. "Now, go to the bathroom, freshen up, then wake up Ino and the others. Let's all have breakfast together and then go train."
"Hey!" Naruto immediately got excited and ran into the bathroom.
Meanwhile, Sakura was finishing the last step of the breakfast she had prepared—infusing it with her own Chakra.
She could control her Chakra to coalesce without dispersing, sticking to the food, and Chakra is a conglomeration of physical and mental energy. Once consumed by Ino and the others, under her control, it would redivide into fundamental physical and mental energy, the kind devoid of her own will.
This would allow Naruto, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji to grow faster and healthier.
After all, she was the only one in class who stood out so much in height, which was quite unusual and she needed someone to keep her company.
"Ah~"
Shikamaru yawned as he walked out of the bedroom and said, "Sakura, you're up really early, no wonder you're so strong."
"It's nothing, you guys can reach this level too." Sakura brought the prepared breakfast to the table, "After breakfast, let's train."
"Training..." Shikamaru felt a headache coming, he really didn't want to go.
After finishing breakfast, the five left Naruto's house. People had already started appearing on the streets, and many merchants had opened their doors and begun to bustle about.
"They all get up so early." Ino said, "I thought they'd sleep in late like we used to."
"Hard to imagine, right?"
Shikamaru yawned, "They still have to get ready to sell various items, prepare the dough for breakfast, set up the merchandise for daily necessities, and so on."
"They are just ordinary people, in contrast to us who will definitely become ninjas. They must wake up early and stay up late to earn money."
"That's life."
Naruto, feeling unfazed, asked Sakura, "What kind of training are we doing?"
"Running." Sakura said.
"Running?"
Naruto pouted, "What kind of exercise is that? It's not challenging at all."
Sakura smiled, "It's not easy at all, we're going to run around the entire Konoha for a hundred laps!" М|V|LЕМ*РYR is thе hоmе оf this сhаptеr
"A hundred laps?!"
Naruto was stunned and then exclaimed excitedly, "That is really challenging, but I won't lose to you!"
Shikamaru, speechless, said, "Is this amount of exercise even achievable at our age?"
"As long as you believe in yourself, anything is possible!" Sakura encouraged.
"Alright, let's also get some exercise, it'll help digest the food... I never knew noodles and pancakes could fill one up this much." Shikamaru touched his stomach, feeling unusually energetic today, indeed needing some intense activity to vent out.
"Then, let's get started!"
Sakura took off running first, swinging her arms, stepping out gracefully with her first step, then the second, then the third...
Naruto, Shikamaru, and the others quickly followed behind.
Although their pace wasn't fast, as they ran, they felt their bodies warming up, a bit tired, yet still wanting to run, as if there was an endless supply of energy burning within them.
Their bodies thrillingly trembled!
Their cells joyously danced!
This exhilarating feeling was something they had never experienced before.
Especially Shikamaru, who even doubted that if he kept this up, he might change his lazy ways, and perhaps even—his father would wonder if he was really his own son!
However, this feeling of running with friends was truly wonderful.
Was it Sakura's influence?
Suddenly, next to Sakura and others, a burst of dust ran by swiftly, it was a ninja with a watermelon-shaped green outfit.
"Hmm?"
The ninja seemed to have noticed Haruno Sakura and the others and came back in a flurry, giving them a thumbs up and flashing his gleaming white teeth.
"Yo! Young boys and girls! Working hard, huh? Already starting your morning run! This is youth!"
Haruno Sakura could sense the powerful Chakra inside him, as if it required the overextension of potential, and asked, "Are you an elite ninja from Konoha?"
"That's right!" The green-skinned ninja suddenly went into a handstand, "I am an elite ninja from Konoha, Might Guy! The proud azure beast of Konoha!"
"What? Never heard of it." Naruto bluntly said.
"Eh?!" Might Guy seemed shocked by Naruto's words, accidentally tripped, and tumbled around quite disheveled.
Naruto: "→_→" This definitely has nothing to do with me.
Ino: "╮(╯▽╰)╭" Is this guy really an elite ninja?
Choji, with his big belly, hadn't noticed what had happened to Might Guy at all.
Shikamaru drooped his eyelids, he did recognize this guy because this passionate ninja often came to his house to buy deer antler... He couldn't understand it before, but now he knew the answer, this guy must specialize in physical techniques, and without a lot of supplements, it would leave a lot of hidden injuries and it could easily overdraw his body's potential in the future.
