Journey to the West: Life Simulation of Sun Wukong

Chapter 368: The Great Cosmological Simulation Contest (4) — Sun Wukong VS Tang Sanzang

"Shall we go over and chat with him?"

Not far from where Sun Wukong was, a fierce-looking monkey asked a small, black ape beside him.

"Go? Seeing the immortals and Buddhas, I, the King of All Demons, feel sick!" The small black ape was also Sun Wukong, but a demonic monkey filled with murderous and Demonic Qi.

The sacredness of immortals and Buddhas were the very beings he sought to destroy!

Yet Sun Wukong had become an immortal, a Buddha. The King of All Demons couldn't wait to slaughter him to uphold the reputation of Sun Wukong!

He was the true Sun Wukong!

The taller monkey beside the King of All Demons also had a gloomy expression, "I want the immortals and Buddhas all to vanish into thin air; indeed, it is not fitting for me to associate with him."

Most Sun Wukongs who had suffered greatly or those who transmigrated into Sun Wukong did not converse with Sun Wukong, as they believed that different paths did not lead to common goals.

They were all monkeys with the ambition to overturn the Three Realms!

Sun Wukong merely smiled at the other Sun Wukongs without taking much notice. Instead, he continued discussing with the returned Tang Monk. He found that this transmigrator Tang Monk also had some interesting views on Buddhism, which quite suited his taste.

"You've trained your muscles well."

"Thanks to the simulator."

The Tang Monk did not conceal it; his simulator was a One Punch Simulator, based on the "I became bald and thus stronger" setting. It was a shame that he had only obtained it three days ago and had done only one simulation, gaining a slight improvement. It took him thirty minutes to run a thousand kilometers.

As for the hair issue, he had been bald since he transmigrated, so it didn't bother him.

"For someone who is merely human, that is already enough." Check for the latest updates on My Virtual Library Empire (M-VL-EMP-YR).

"For this poor monk, increasing strength isn't that important. After all, once I embark on the journey to fetch scriptures, aside from the three bodyguards and a White Dragon Horse I will meet in the future, there are various deities constantly protecting this poor monk's safety. There's really no need to worry about danger," the Tang Monk went on in his Buddhist demeanor.

"Then, do you have any goals? Aside from fetching the scriptures and joining the organization?" Sun Wukong asked.

"That, I have none for now," the Tang Monk pondered for a moment, then shook his head helplessly. "Perhaps after becoming a Buddha, this poor monk will consider other matters."

Sun Wukong nodded.

It was clear that this Tang Monk, although to his taste, had no grand goals and was content with getting by. Such an attitude toward achieving immortality could only be established over time through the slow development of a new perspective.

As for persuasion, it was useless.

Those who could understand, like Wang Chao, Li Hansha, Su Jie, etc., would glimpse the truth even without Sun Wukong's words. And for those who couldn't, no amount of talking would help.

Unless he influenced their minds with his spirit, making them more studious and reflective.

Obviously, Sun Wukong had no intention of meddling with others' thoughts.

Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.

On the matter of the spirit, Sun Wukong gave appropriate respect to all sentient beings. Even if someone irked him, he wouldn't affect their spirit; at most, he'd give them a beating.

At this moment, the two contestants in the arena were both non-human beings.

A slime and a skeleton.

The competition they drew was combat, which sparked some interest from everyone.

That slime could morph into countless forms—split, turn invisible, fly, control elements, it knew it all; the skeleton it faced tore through magic with brute strength, wielding a bone spear that stirred up currents of air, blocking all of the slime's attacks.

But the skeleton's attacks couldn't harm the slime.

Because the slime was incredibly flexible, and if it shattered, it could regenerate anew as long as a single cell particle remained.

Regeneration did require energy, but the slime could draw Magic Power from the environment at an incredible rate. In a high-energy environment, it was essentially indestructible.

"Great Sage, what do you think about how I or you should deal with that slime?" Tang Monk asked.

"For you, you'd better pray that the competition doesn't involve combat, no chance," the big monkey answered bluntly. "As for me, Old Sun, I could certainly have a match with that slime. What about you?"

He looked towards Sun Wukong.

"If it's about strength, it's a matter of lifting a finger," Sun Wukong said leisurely. "But if it's other skills, it might take a bit of time."

"That exaggerated?" the big monkey was surprised. "The gap between Heavenly Immortals seems a bit too large."

"After all, Old Sun here has attained the Primordial Spirit of Great Unity," Sun Wukong stated calmly. "What limits my ability is my accumulated knowledge and experience, and the depth of wisdom."

"As broad as my heart is, that is how strong I am!"

Tang Monk exclaimed, "Incomparable! Incomparable!"

The big monkey also nodded, "Indeed incomparable. You might indeed win the ultimate championship, and if you become the administrator of the Simulation, do visit my world and have a word with the Tathagata there."

"With fists?" Sun Wukong raised an eyebrow.

"Fists are fine, but I think your Jingu Bang might do better," the big monkey did not catch the hidden meaning in Sun Wukong's words and was giving him suggestions.

Tang Monk, however, understood but also realized that the Great Sage from "The Return of the Great Sage" wasn't as perceptive as the real Sun Wukong before him.

"Jingu Bang, huh?" Sun Wukong shook his head. "I won't need the Jingu Bang to deal with the Tathagata from your world. However, as for becoming the administrator of the Simulation, even I am not so certain."

"After all, there are quite a few here who have attained the Great Unity," he added.

The one who has attained the Mixed Element is not considered omniscient and omnipotent, for their "omniscience" relies on first understanding the corresponding situation before they can use the "omniscient" information to accomplish "omnipotent" deeds.

If they do not understand, if it is not clear, if they do not comprehend, then they cannot accomplish it.

However, those of the Mixed Element have extremely strong learning abilities, able at least to scan something once and, even without using their Primordial Spirit, they can comprehend various cultivation systems to a great extent.

In general, the protagonists and transmigrators who come to this space have a multitude of cultivation systems, but they all fall under the three treasures of essence, energy, and spirit; the physical body; the soul (Primordial Spirit); and mana (Magic Power, Spiritual Power, the Force, etc.).

Let's not talk about the physical body and Primordial Spirit for now.

The majority of the cultivation systems here differ primarily at the point of "qi" – some have high quality, others have low; some are abundant, some are scarce; some can strengthen the physical body, some can enhance the Primordial Spirit, and others benefit both.

Looking further, it comes down to matter, energy, and the most basic personal will information.

For those of the Mixed Element, in personal cultivation, the matter represented by the physical body and the energy represented by mana are not that important; the fundamental lies in the will information represented by the Primordial Spirit.

When the will information forms the fruit of the Dao, matter and energy merge into one—if dispersed, they become qi; if gathered, they take form; not born, not extinguished; eternal and unperishable.

The true cultivation at the Mixed Element level is not about accumulating mana or practicing Divine Skills but about increasing one's information quantity and governing it with wisdom, commanding all.

Therefore, for beings who truly attain the fruit of the Mixed Element Dao, there's no such thing as different paths not scheming against each other, and even most of the information might be largely repetitive.

If they were to compete against each other, it's possible they might not be able to determine a winner even after eons.

Both sides being of the Mixed Element, even if one initially has less information, in "discussing the Dao," they could learn from the one who has more.

Because none of those of the Mixed Element can truly eliminate another.

Unless the one with more information provides false information from the start, thereby deceiving the other into falling for a trap, and then they could suppress the other with relative ease.

But they can only suppress, not eliminate.

Just like Sun Wukong's fate in the first simulation, where he had already achieved the Mixed Element, but because he exiled his own heart, Tathagata deceived him into his palm, pulled him into his scheme, and trapped him; even wielding immense power, he could not escape.

Because Tathagata had given him a wrong piece of information in the simulator from the start!

As the Great Horse Monkey listened to Sun Wukong's explanation, he roughly understood that there were crouching tigers and hidden dragons here, but his head drooped even lower.

Because he wasn't deceived by Tathagata — the Tathagata that suppressed him didn't even want to waste a word on him, directly slamming down with a palm, and he truly had no strength to fight back.

Both being Sun Wukong, why was there such a big difference?

He didn't understand.

He was cultivating the same mantra... Could it really be a matter of comprehension?

It seems he needs to read more books in the future.

His master, Master Puti, is a master of all three teachings of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and he, as a disciple, knowing only how to fight, what kind of thing is that?

When he returns, he will read more books.

On the field, Slime ultimately emerged victorious, and the skeleton was sent back to the original world.

Next—

The Great Horse Monkey was chosen and took to the field, waving to Sun Wukong, "Watch my performance!"

As long as the competition draws fighting, with the Dharma Seal now broken, he could turn rivers upside down and split mountains, undaunted by any opponent!

And the Great Horse Monkey's opponent was also a Tang Monk.

Muscles all over his body, even more robust than the Tang Monk sitting beside Sun Wukong, only slightly inferior to Li Fan.

"I am Tang Sanzang, who once with a pair of iron fists, made the demons on the Great Path of monsters run away in fear," said Tang Sanzang from 'Journey to the West,' clenching his two iron fists, a hint of nostalgia in his gaze as he looked at the Great Horse Monkey, "I once had a disciple named Sun Wukong, whom I subdued by fighting... but then I made a mistake and let him be killed."

The Great Horse Monkey: "..."

That's a lot of information, what do you do when your brain can't process it all?

Tang Monk subdued Sun Wukong?

It seems, it was before this Tang Monk acquired the simulation system.

"It seems I must be careful; your strength must be extraordinary," said Sun Wukong, extremely cautious, although no matter how he looked at it, the Tang Monk before him was just an ordinary person, a mere mortal...

[Competition Event: Battle!]

No sooner had the announcement ended, the battle began!

And then—

With one strike,

Mountains crumbled and the earth split!

Tang Sanzang instantly turned to ash, not even a residue remained!

"Is that it?"

The Great Horse Monkey was speechless, regretting that he had thought this Tang Sanzang who could subdue Sun Wukong was so powerful. It must be that the Sun Wukong of that world was too weak, or maybe he was wearing a Jingu Bang and was being chanted the Tightening Spell by this monk first.
