Journey to the West: Life Simulation of Sun Wukong

Chapter 325 Simulation: Su Jie Arc - Conclusion (Part 5)

At the Summit of the Cloud Sea!

The Nine Celestial Mountains!

In the splendid Tao Demon Alliance, Meng Daozhen prepared to advance his plans, ordering all Cultivators to venture out to the mundane world, for all the great dynasties to begin a month-long prayer to the great god of Dao Zhen, offering the most devout faith!

A year ago, the pressure of the Heavenly Dao's Eye overwhelmed the heavens, yet it was forcibly removed by someone, resulting in further damage to the Heavenly Will.

This caused Meng Daozhen to feel an extremely intense urgency!

He had a premonition that if he followed the usual plans, it was very likely that the Heavenly Demon from beyond would find an opportunity first to devour the Heavenly Will and control the entire Cultivation Semi-Dimension.

How could he allow such a thing to happen?

The Heavenly Will of the Cultivation World had to be devoured by him!

"Husband, don't be anxious, it will surely be successful," Hua Youmeng arrived in the grand hall, walked up to Meng Daozhen's side, her delicate fingers tracing near his ear, a waft of her fragrance causing Meng Daozhen to be somewhat distracted.

Theoretically, someone of a saintly cultivation level should not be attracted to the joy of romantic involvements, but Hua Youmeng cultivated a peculiar Yin attribute Cultivation Technique that inherently attracted a man's most primal true nature, thus Meng Daozhen could not resist.

Or perhaps, he was willing to indulge in it and did not want to resist.

After all, every cultivation session for them was like a collision, blending and transforming two great Dao, allowing their spirits to evolve by the slightest bit.

Why not?

The time of the sage.

Meng Daozhen caressed Hua Youmeng's face and affectionately asked, "Youmeng, you seem to be getting stronger, are you about to break through to become a saint?"

"You can't hide it from you," Hua Youmeng cooed said, "My 'Taiyin Qi Technique' has already reached perfection, just three more years and I can break through."

"Good, worthy of being my Dao companion!"

Meng Daozhen was overjoyed, "I wish you success in your breakthrough and spare you these three years' effort."

"Hmm~"

Hua Youmeng bashfully nodded her head; however, the moment she looked down, her expression turned ice-cold, completely devoid of the tenderness and charm just moments ago...

...

Kun Country.

Emperor Kun finally received the news that a small county town within his own country had broken away from his control and declared itself a kingdom called Jieguo, and he was furious, "This is utterly preposterous!"

A mere county dares to establish a kingdom?!

Absurd!

Regarding the issue of Linghua City, Emperor Kun was not actually that angry, his main reason for anger was that it took over a year for him to receive the news!

The news was transmitted too slowly!

"Wait, if I remember correctly, isn't Linghua County in the southeast direction?" Emperor Kun suddenly recalled, over a year ago, he had a premonition, could it be related to this?

"Summon the national advisor!"

"Yes!"

A court official immediately bowed deeply, received the emperor's order, spoke it three times, then slowly rose and moved out of Emperor Kun's line of sight before hurriedly turning and briskly walking with several eunuchs towards the national advisor's residence—

The national advisor, upon knowing that Emperor Kun summoned him, did not dare to delay and immediately dressed in his advisor's robe and headed to the imperial palace's grand hall.

At this moment, all the civil and military officials had already assembled.

The national advisor was the last to arrive, which appeared to be tardily.

However, with most of the civil and military officials silently bowing down in the hall, and Emperor Kun seated on the dragon throne with an extremely solemn expression, the national advisor immediately realized that something might have happened that displeased Emperor Kun.

"Greetings, Your Majesty!" The national advisor slightly bowed to show respect.

Ordinary officials, when facing Emperor Kun, must perform the kneeling and bowing ritual, but the national advisor did not need to, as he was also a Cultivator, not needing to perform such rituals for a mundane emperor.

Besides the national advisor, there were two others who did not need to kneel, standing at the front.

These two, one civil and one military, were the favorites of Emperor Kun, having become prominent figures in the court in the past year, and they too were Cultivators, the civil official named Wang Wei and the military official Luo Xiang.

"Arise!"

"Thank you, Your Majesty!" The civil and military officials expressed their gratitude and slowly stood up.

"National advisor, in the southeast direction, Linghua City, a rebel has usurped the City Lord's position and declared a new kingdom as Jieguo. Could it be related to the impulsive feeling I had over a year ago?" Emperor Kun's voice echoed in the grand hall; one could not discern joy or anger, but all heads were bowed.

"Unrelated."

The national advisor stiffened his scalp, shook his head, and spoke thus.

Even if it was related, he could not admit it.

If Emperor Kun knew that he had been tricked by someone else's dealings with him, he estimated he would have no place to be buried.

Emperor Kun stared at the national advisor for a good while before slowly speaking, "If so, then I wonder what the national advisor thinks about the situation in Linghua City?"

"Your Majesty, I am merely a national advisor, responsible for divination and observing the astronomical signs," the national advisor secretly sighed in relief, speaking neither humbly nor arrogantly.

What he implied was that people revolting in his city had nothing to do with him.

"Is that so?" Emperor Kun nodded, then spoke, "In that case, would the national advisor trouble himself to divine whether, if I send troops to reclaim Linghua County, it will go smoothly?"

The Grandmaster was speechless.

He specialized in divining significant matters of national strife, how could he possibly predict the outcome of a war?

However, Linghua was just a small city with a population of no more than ten million, while the capital of Kun Country alone had over a million soldiers patrolling its streets, not to mention the official army which numbered over a hundred million.

He estimated that sending just a fraction of that force should suffice to reclaim it!

There was only one condition: the rebel who took Linghua must not be that entity he had dealt with; otherwise, no amount of troops would matter.

"Your Majesty." Chapter source: My Virtual Library Empire (M|V|L4EMPYR).

Wang Wei stepped forward, relieving the Grandmaster of the pressure, "Grant me three million soldiers, and I guarantee the capture of Linghua County."

"Ridiculous!"

Before Emperor Kun could speak, Luo Xiang stood up and scoffed, "Three million? The amount of provisions and expenses this would require on the way! All of this is the foundation of our Kun Country, can we afford to spend so much just for a trivial Linghua County?"

"I think your intentions deserve censure!"

After scolding Wang Wei, Luo Xiang bowed to Emperor Kun and said, "Your Majesty, if the party that occupies Linghua can do so, they must have their capabilities. Why not send an envoy to negotiate their surrender?"

"The only reason they dare to defy Kun Country is despair; they seek power and money, which we can provide."

"In this way, we could coexist peacefully, would that not be wonderful?"

"If Your Majesty is worried, you can also invite them to the capital. If indeed they are capable and comply peacefully, it would be a blessing for our nation; and if not, capture them on the spot without full-scale war."

Wang Wei argued contrarily, "Your Majesty, do not be swayed by Luo Xiang's foolish words. If we set such a precedent, in the future, anyone desiring a position of power might simply rebel."

The two faced off against each other.

Curiously, Wang Wei, a civil official, was inclined towards war; whilst Luo Xiang, a military man, thought about how to quell matters peacefully.

Their personalities seemed reversed.

Emperor Kun had grown accustomed to such disagreements over the year, yet he also pondered whether to follow Luo Xiang's suggestion, which indeed seemed very effective in capturing the rebel without bloodshed.

Yet, to offer amnesty just for the rebels of a minor county like Linghua, wasn't that making a mountain out of a molehill?

At that moment, a mysterious voice echoed from the outside of the hall—

"King of Kun Country, Emperor Kun, come out and greet me!"

Emperor Kun's complexion changed drastically, and he immediately rose from his throne, leading the civil and military officials out of the hall.

In the open space outside the spacious hall, a white-haired boy stood hovering in the air, his expression cold, looking down upon Emperor Kun and others emerging from the hall, and commanded, "The divine decree from Meng Daozhen, kneel and listen!"

Emperor Kun prostrated himself, while the other officials laid flat on the ground, burying their heads and not daring to look up.

Luo Xiang secretly transmitted his thoughts to Wang Wei, "How funny does this ritual of respect look to you?"

Wang Wei replied, "Perhaps in this feudal monarchy, it's regarded as the most noble etiquette, but coming from modern society, we find this 'method of kneeling' a bit improper."

The white-haired boy nodded approvingly, waved his hands, and a stream of white light emerged from nowhere, revealing countless golden characters.

"Divine decree from Meng Daozhen, external Heavenly Demons invade the world, bringing suffering to all living beings!"

"Therefore, all secular dynasties should cease their conflicts, pray together, offer themselves, aggregate the will of the people with the Heavenly Dao, and combat the external Heavenly Demons to protect our realm's tranquility!"

"Should any mundane ruler defy this, they shall be deemed a sinner of the world, and everyone shall have the right to execute them!"

After finishing his declaration, the boy did not linger to look at the prostrated figures of Emperor Kun and others any longer and flew away, disappearing from view.

"That must be a practitioner of the Embryonic Breathing Realm," Luo Xiang quietly transmitted, "In this world, the secular dynasties are just dogs raised by the authentic cultivation sects, disobedience equals death."

He hummed thoughtfully, "A dog might bite through its leash and find freedom, but these cultivation world dynasties have no such chance."

To a cultivator's eyes, dynasties are dispensable!

Retaining the dynasties perhaps stems from the Cultivation World being too vast for cultivators to manage on their own, thus necessitating the governance of ordinary mortals.

Emperor Kun stood up, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, and led the officials back into the great hall.

"Let's follow the celestial envoy's advice and avoid the clash of arms," Emperor Kun declared. "So, who will go to Linghua County to negotiate with those valiant warriors?"

Luo Xiang volunteered, "Your Majesty, since I suggested it, I shall make the journey."

"No!"

Wang Wei stepped out to stop him, "General Luo is but a crude soldier, his presence might be interpreted as a declaration of war. Therefore, I believe it's better to send someone with a more amiable appearance."

Emperor Kun nodded.

To send a general to negotiate peace would surely be laughable.

Furthermore, for merely a small city like Linghua, a sledgehammer is not needed to crack a nut.

"Wang's point is well-taken," he said.

"General Luo, you need not go, I have other plans,"

Luo Xiang looked disappointed but bowed and replied, "I obey."

Half a month later,

Inside Jieguo, Meng Xiaolan received intelligence. At the national border, a carriage pulled by nine white-scaled horses arrived, claiming to be from the capital of Kun Country, come to solicit their surrender.

"Kun Country indeed sent someone," Meng Xiaolan scoffed coldly, "But they've come too slow. If we hadn't killed the tax collector they sent initially, perhaps the ruler of Kun Country would still be unaware that Linghua County has been renamed to Jieguo."
