Journey to the West: Life Simulation of Sun Wukong

Chapter 276: Simulation: We Are Brothers!

Fearful, uneasy.

Mu knelt on the ground, deeply afraid that Su Jie would punish him.

Although the Divine Envoys were benevolent beings who would not resort to violence, once he truly offended a Divine Envoy, the tribespeople would not forgive him and would expel him from the tribe.

In this primitive world, once expelled, one would not be accepted again but left to survive or perish in the wild on their own.

"Rise, I forgive you."

Su Jie helped Mu to his feet, and Bai, standing by, also breathed a sigh of relief.

The people of the Wolf Tribe placed such importance on a Divine Envoy, clearly because the Divine Envoy who had arrived at their tribe must have demonstrated formidable martial might, thus winning the genuine and willing allegiance of the primitive tribal people.

Ming Lun had rules that players should not coerce or lure primitive tribes.

Why would the Wolf Tribe act this way?

Perhaps these people were simply fearful of his power, which prompted a more complicated mindset, and then they came to regard him as a sort of deity.

Wuxing, the player who descended, became the Divine Envoy of the Wolf Tribe, replacing the original god in the hearts of the tribe and becoming the new god.

What was the purpose?

Belief.

That was all Su Jie could think of.

After all, on Primordial Star, if one wanted to find resources that would help advance one's physical body in the early stages, developing a tribe was even more troublesome than venturing out alone.

This required early investment and avoiding various risks while constantly paying attention to tribal affairs.

Su Jie would only occasionally enlighten the Xuan Tribe with wisdom, and he did not provide them with direct assistance unless there were extraordinary problems like a fanged pig king, in which case he would intervene.

As for the Wolf Tribe, it was evident that Wuxing had involved himself in various aspects of the tribe.

This could establish his authority among the tribespeople, and authority was the foundation of belief.

What was the use of belief?

According to research published by Ming Lun, when Spirit cultivation reached the level of saint manifestation, it required the power of belief to coalesce a divine nature and achieve the status of a True God.

A True God was the realm after manifesting as a saint.

However, as belief was born from ignorance, although Ming Lun had unveiled this path, it only provided people with more choices and did not mean that everyone placed great importance on their own dignity.

Some people were willing to become followers of others. It wasn't possible to stop them, was it?

Of course, belief was free, but Ming Lun would not tolerate followers causing chaos under the guise of freedom. He would collaborate with the government to crack down on cults.

One thing was certain: everyone could foresee that in the future, it would be unlikely to recruit followers on Earth because, with the current trend of development, everyone held a certain materialistic worldview, making it difficult to truly believe in someone or something.

Unless one modified the mind, twisted thoughts, and reshaped the spirit.

Clearly, if someone dared to do this on Earth, they would certainly be labeled as a cult, and none of the leaders of Ming Lun would forgive them.

Speaking of which, the leaders of Ming Lun seemed not to walk the path of garnering followers—

Lost in thought, Su Jie followed Bai and Mu across the white grassland and arrived in front of the Wolf Tribe.

To call it a tribe was to describe it as a small city-state.

Looking ahead, there was a black city wall made of stones stacked together with mud as mortar, showing greyish-white stripes like a spiderweb.

Primitive, rustic.

But exceedingly sturdy.

This type of stone, on a microscopic level, was a carbon element structure interspersed with various elements, as hard as diamond but not brittle like diamond; it would not shatter with a single hammer blow.

However, this carbon stone couldn't be used as fuel.

Because the ignition point of carbon stone was above nine hundred degrees Celsius, primitive tribes simply could not create the conditions for it to burn.

Moreover, the carbon stone contained too many impurities, and burning it would release a large amount of toxic gases, which the current conditions on Primordial Star could not resolve, so it could only be used as bricks.

Outside the carbon stone walls, every ten meters, there was a tribe warrior on watch, wrapped in white animal skins, holding wooden spears in their hands, with the tips fashioned out of stone, each robust and strong.

Clearly, the Wolf Tribe should not mistreat these warriors!

In Su Jie's perception, these warriors each had a vitality of around 1.5, and both arms and legs were relatively thick, evidently having trained in the corresponding legwork techniques.

Had "Wuxing" taught them?

Buying people's hearts.

Bai and Mu led Su Jie into the tribe, and the warriors on both sides, upon seeing Su Jie, immediately became solemn and bowed to show their respect.

A Divine Envoy, in the Wolf Tribe, was the most respected existence!

No matter which tribe's Divine Envoy he was!

As he walked into the tribe, Su Jie observed the streets. Although they were still made of dirt, they had become extremely flat and even hard. The surrounding houses were small and low, built with stones and yellow mud, their tops covered with white thatch, resembling clusters of white mushrooms.

Some thin, scantily clad people were working for sturdier individuals covered in white fur — the concept of slavery had already taken hold.

A fanatic gleam shot from Bai's eyes as he introduced, "Those were from the Sheep Tribe who once tried to invade our tribe. We defeated them, and now all their people have become slaves of our Wolf Tribe."

"In the past, we directly consumed any tribe that dared to invade us, but under the teachings of the 'Form of All Things,' we turned them into slaves to toil for us."

"With this, we have more time to do other ... um, meaningful things."

"The wisdom of the 'Form of All Things,' so great!"

Mu said joyfully, "That's right, with these people working, our tribe's people can spend more time strengthening their bodies and become even stronger."

Nodding, Su Jie looked towards the center of the tribe.

There stood the largest building, stylistically at odds with the stone houses, coated in gray-black paint, three stories high, even having fish-scale-like tiles covering each extended framework of the layers.

It wasn't ornately decorated or antique in appearance; rather, it showed a hint of civilization amidst barbarism, unique and standing out from the others.

The people of the Wolf Tribe showed a trace of reverence, even longing, when they looked towards the center.

Through the wide-open doors, Su Jie could see many people walking around inside, dressed in clothes that seemed to be made of hemp, their skin also fairer than other members of the tribe.

"Those wearing white grass clothes are attendants of the Divine Envoy, tasked with serving him," Bai whispered, a hint of longing in his eyes, "If I could serve the Divine Envoy, I would die without regrets in this lifetime."

Mu grimaced, "Only the most beautiful ones can serve the Divine Envoy; we shouldn't even think about it."

Bai sighed helplessly, "You're right; I don't even have the qualifications to become a warrior for the Divine Envoy. Years of labor have already drained people like me of their energy."

As they neared the center, Mu spoke, "Commoners cannot come close; I'll leave first. Bai, I'll help you take the people who sow and harvest to rest."

"Thank you."

Bai nodded his head, watching Mu leave, then walked up to the gate, kneeled and bowed to the ground, speaking to the two guards, "Respected gatekeepers, following behind me is the Divine Envoy of the Xuan Tribe, who wishes to meet the great 'Form of All Things.'"

Gatekeepers?

Su Jie sized up the two robust warriors, their vitality was at 2.1, and muttered, "This 'Form of All Things' has quite a nasty sense of humor, and this fluctuation of vitality feels familiar ... I think I already know who it is."

"Respected Divine Envoy of the Xuan Tribe, please wait a moment; I will go in and report," the gatekeepers did not even glance at Bai, who was kneeling on the ground, but instead showed a flattering smile to Su Jie, then one went to report while the other stayed, accompanying Su Jie.

Even as the 'Form of All Things' came out, Bai was still kneeling on the ground.

"It's you!"

Upon seeing Su Jie, the pupils of the 'Form of All Things' tightened, his fists clenched tightly enough to crack, even producing bursts of noise in the air.

"It really is you, Jiang Wuxing," Su Jie said indifferently, stating the name of this 'Form of All Things.' "With your vitality, you couldn't suppress this tribe on your own; it seems you're leveraging Jiang Wudao's influence to rally a group of players, or perhaps you got some artifacts from the family that temporarily enhance your vitality."

"Humph! Please leave, I don't welcome you here!" Jiang Wuxing issued a dismissal.

Su Jie, powerful enough to defeat Jiang Wudao!

He was currently an adversary not to be trifled with!

Moreover, he absolutely wouldn't allow Su Jie to interfere with the tribe he controlled; this was the future foundation of the Jiang Corporation — once Jiang Wudao or he himself made a breakthrough, this growing and strengthening tribe would become a mighty kingdom, capable of providing endless faith, which would lay the foundation for their ascension to divinity. The original source is M|V|L5EMPYR.

Despite his reluctance to share with Jiang Wudao, as a member of the Jiang Corporation, he also had to contribute to his family from a young age; it was unavoidable.

"There's no need for that; perhaps we can collaborate," Su Jie suggested with a smile.

"Collaborate?"

Jiang Wuxing scoffed, "I have no room to collaborate with you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't need to go to school during the day to play house with those brats."

He harbored deep resentment.

He was doing well fighting in the Bird's Nest Arena until one day Su Jie appeared and defeated him, ending his path of invincibility.

"Being around your peers has its benefits for someone your age, after all, you aren't someone like Principal Ming Lun," Su Jie said calmly.

Jiang Wuxing's breath hitched, unable to retort.

True, he wasn't like Principal Ming Lun Sun Shisheng, but that didn't give Su Jie the right to mock him: "What exactly do you want? You didn't just come here to mock me, did you?"

"If so, you've mocked me enough; you can leave."

"If not, you might as well make your move."

After all, this was just a physical embodiment of the spirit; death here wasn't real death.

"I'm not barbaric; I just want to work with you," Su Jie reiterated his proposal for collaboration.

"Work on what? Against my cousin?" Jiang Wuxing gazed deeply, "Heh, we are brothers after all!"
