With that thought, the King of Inspiration had gone deep into his cave dwelling when he suddenly whipped his head around, staring at the dim-witted baldy. For some reason, he couldn't resist saying, "Monk, don't blame me for being ruthless, blame your disciple for being too fierce. I feared if I didn't act now, I'd miss my chance! It's going to hurt a bit, just bear with it, alright!"

Having said that, the King of Inspiration opened his mouth wide and bit directly towards Tang Sanzang's head!

Smack!

A crisp sound echoed.

The King of Inspiration felt the world spinning, and his face went numb, his body twirling on the spot, unable to stop!

After a long while, the King of Inspiration finally stopped and with eyes as wide as light bulbs, he stared at Tang Sanzang and demanded, "Who just hit me?"

Tang Sanzang looked around, brought his palms together and said, "Amitabha, did someone just hit the donor? I didn't notice, I thought the donor was playing by spinning around. Donor, you don't think it was me who hit you, do you? I'm merely a frail Monk from Great Tang, the handsomest in the Three Realms."

The King of Inspiration, frowning at the quick-tongued Monk, didn't believe that the seemingly weak and foolish Monk before him had hit him.

After all, he had investigated before, and Tang Sanzang was just a normal person, unlikely to possess such great strength.

"Who? Who is it? Who hit me? If you're a man, show yourself! What kind of sneak attack is this?" the King of Inspiration shouted, his eyes scanning all around him.

Smack!

Suddenly, another sharp slap hit the other side of the King of Inspiration's face, spinning him around three times on the spot. Holding his right cheek, he screamed, "Who was it? Who? Who!"

He looked all around again, but the problem was, there was no one there!

The King of Inspiration's gaze fell on Tang Sanzang once more, and Tang Sanzang offered an innocuous smile, saying, "Donor, why do you look at your humble monk like that?"

The less-than-bright mind of the King of Inspiration worked furiously as he stared at Tang Sanzang and then said deliberately, "Just now, you didn't see anyone hit me either?" Continue reading on empire

Tang Sanzang innocently replied, "No, was the donor hit again just now? That was too fast, wasn't it? I didn't see anything."

The King of Inspiration didn't think much of it—after all, if he hadn't seen it himself, how could a weak and ineffectual little Monk have seen it?

He was clutching both sides of his face, his eyes whirling about, clearly pondering who had slapped him twice.

It was at this moment that Tang Sanzang suddenly raised his hand.

The King of Inspiration fixed a sharp gaze on Tang Sanzang and screeched, "What are you doing?"

Tang Sanzang scratched his bald head and said, "I was just scratching my head, donor. Why so agitated? Surely you don't really think that I, a feeble Monk, could slap you?"

"With your cowardly behavior, you don't look like someone who'd dare hit me," the King of Inspiration snorted as he looked in another direction.

Smack!

Yet another powerful slap struck the King of Inspiration's face, this time the force sent him flying more than three meters away.

"Who, who, who? Who in the world is it?"

The King of Inspiration was frantic, yowling while cradling his face, his body spinning fast like a top, trying to catch sight of the assailant.

However, after looking round and round, it seemed in this not-so-large cave dwelling, there were only he and the Monk, who was smiling so harmlessly.

The King of Inspiration squinted at Tang Sanzang suspiciously, "That's not right, it's just you and me here. Every time I take my eyes off you, I get slapped. It must be you hitting me!"

Tang Sanzang spread his hands and said, "Benefactor, I wish I had that much strength in my hands, but alas, I do not."

The King of Inspiration stared Tang Sanzang down, closing in step by step, "I will keep my eyes on you. If I still get slapped, then it means someone else is hitting me. If I don't, then it's you who are slapping me. Let's see how you hide this time!"

Tang Sanzang pressed his palms together, smiling as he watched the King of Inspiration approach step by step.

Three steps away, two steps away, one step away!

In that instant, the King of Inspiration almost instantaneously covered his face with both hands, crouching on the ground. He waited several seconds, but nobody slapped him.

His mouth split wide open, laughing loudly, "Hahaha... Nobody slapped me. So it wasn't you after all. Busted, huh? Hahaha... I'm simply too clever!"

With an aggrieved look on his face, Tang Sanzang replied, "Benefactor, as you can see, I haven't moved from the spot since I arrived. How could I slap you? If you didn't get slapped, maybe the other party is intentionally deceiving you."

The King of Inspiration paused, that not-so-quick mind of his beginning to work overtime as he pondered. After a while, he said, "You have a bit of a point there."

Tang Sanzang said, "It's not just a bit of a point, it's completely logical."

The King of Inspiration glared at the monk in front of him. Though not the sharpest tool in the shed, his instincts as an animal turned demon were telling him there was something amiss with this baldy!

A light bulb went off in the King of Inspiration's head, and he came up with an idea, grinning, "Monk, let's do this: you slap me, with all your might! I can tell if you're using your full strength or not. If you hit me with everything but it's not strong enough, then you're innocent. Otherwise, it's your doing!"

Having said that, the King of Inspiration laughed proudly, "I can't believe I thought of such a strategy, I'm freaking genius, hahaha..."

With a wry mouth, Tang Sanzang said, "Benefactor, I must say, your strategy is absolutely genius!"

"Of course! Come on, slap me!" The King of Inspiration's face beamed with pride as he leaned in closer.

Tang Sanzang, without courtesy, slowly took off half of his kasaya to reveal a muscular arm, then swung his hand a bit and said, "Since it's what the benefactor wants, I shall not hold back."

"Hahaha, don't be shy, come on, little monk, give it your all!" the King of Inspiration shouted with laughter.

The King of Inspiration then seemed to feel he wasn't being stern enough, so he put on a vicious expression, glaring at Tang Sanzang with a threat, "Remember, you must use all your strength, or I'll eat you!"

Tang Sanzang nodded like a pecking chicken, "Yes, I'll make sure to satisfy you."

"Alright, come on!" The King of Inspiration was buzzing with excitement as he moved his head closer, pointing to his left cheek, "This side got slapped twice. I'm familiar with that strength, so hit here. Don't get it wrong!"

Tang Sanzang continued nodding and smiled, "Alright!"

After that, Tang Sanzang took a small step back, slightly turned his body sideways, and raised his arm...

The next moment, as Tang Sanzang's expression grew fearsome, the King of Inspiration had a bad hunch even though he wasn't the brightest, but it was too late to retreat.

All you could hear was Tang Sanzang shouting, "Here I come!"

Boom!

As Tang Sanzang slapped out, it was as if the entire River of Heaven trembled in that moment. The ferocious force rubbing violently against the water caused the scorching energy to instantly evaporate all the water within a three-mile radius!

As the terror-inducing slap came his way, all the King of Inspiration could say was, "For the love of god, stop!"
