Chapter 11: Practice and Learning
Blaine asked one of the maids for directions, and arrives at the library where Sebas was waiting for him.
He knocked on the door before opening it.
He saw a couple of bookshelves with numerous books.
Sebas was wearing circle framed eyeglasses, sitting in a chair, and flipping through a book he was holding.
There were some other books on the table as well.
Sebas saw him and closed the book "Young Blaine, you're here." He said softly.
"Yeah… I'm here.
But I don't know why you told me to come here." Blaine was confused. Wondering why Sebas had called him there.
Then suddenly… "I wanted to know about this world, and gather as much information as I can! And now, I'm in a library, where all the knowledge from the past is stored!
Here I can find out all I want to know!" He was exited, curious, and terrified to find out about this world and it's wonders.
But, there was one problem. And he was going to find out soon enough.
"Do you know how to read and write?" Sebas handed him a book.
Blaine stared at the book. It had strange characters written on it's cover. This was his first time seeing such writing.
"No… I… don't know what this says…"
"It reads 'Basic Level Magic'"
"I was going to teach you Basic Level Magic today, but, first you need to learn how to read and write. And we are going to start right now." Sebas slightly smiled.
Blaine sat with Sebas.
And Sebas began teaching him. Blaine felt it was as if he was in his first week of kindergarten learning everything letter by letter and number by number.
Time passed as Sebas taught Blaine. The Sun had set, and it had gotten dark.
"You're learning very fast, young Blaine. Let's end it here for today. You did a good job." Sebas complimented Blaine. And it made him happy.
"It's all thanks to you!
The reason I was able to learn so fast is because you're a great teacher! Blaine chuckled as he told Sebas."
"I appreciate you're kind words, young Blaine." Sebas smiled and replied back.
"But, man, am I tired!
After I finished my practice with Sir Boyd, I came straight here." Blaine sighed after he told Sebas.
"Well, young Blaine, you must be hungry by now, right? Let's go downstairs." Sebas said with a slight laugh.
Sebas and Blaine put the books back in the bookshelf. And left the library to go downstairs.
There everyone was sitting at the dining table. Maids were serving dinner and Blaine was arriving at the table with Sebas by his side.
"Blaine!" Cedric was glowing with enthusiasm as soon as he saw Blaine.
"I hope you all had a great day today." Blaine looked at everyone and gave a gentle smile.
"Blaine, how did it go with your training today?" Albus asked.
"It was pretty hard work… but, I pulled through." Blaine responded.
"Hmm… I see."
"Blaine, I feel as though I shouldn't say this every time… but, come, have a seat." Albus said with a deep voice.
"Yes, sir… As you wish"
Blaine was keeping up his facade of losing memory, but deep down he knew he couldn't keep doing this. He had to tell them… but he didn't know when.
Like usual - they eat, have small talk, say good night, and go to bed.
Blaine was in his room, sitting at the edge of the bed, looking through the windows. There were three Moons, glistening in the night sky. Blaine was looking at the Moons in silence *sigh*
He laid on his bed and closed his eyes.
