Chapter 251: Beach Episode
The second day of camp was all about playing in the water at the beach.
I mean, you can't come to the beach and not wear a swimsuit, right?
Shichen hadn't even told the students what the camp activities were, but somehow, everyone still packed swimsuits—because that's just tradition.
Summer camp wasn't about studying; it was all for fun. The previous principal ran it that way, and Shichen didn't see a reason to change that.
The girls brought swimsuits too—not store-bought though. Lala had Peke, and Yui Kotegawa already had her own. So Shichen didn't get to help pick them out.
They were supposed to go shopping last weekend, but a typhoon messed that up. Then Lugia—the second familiar—showed up, and everyone got obsessed with riding it through the sea. Swimsuit shopping? Totally forgotten.
…
The morning was free time. A few disciplined students still hit the books. After lunch, they all gathered at the beach.
Most of the students showed up already wearing their swimsuits—bright colors, glowing skin—it was a total sensory overload.
The boys? Practically foaming at the mouth.
Only the girls in Lala's room hadn't changed yet. Shichen had told them to wait.
"Shichen, can we get in the water now?"
As soon as they hit the beach, everyone dove in. Lala was bouncing with energy too.
"Hold up—I've got a better idea. Let's go somewhere else."
"Somewhere else?" Yui asked, confused.
"See that little island over there? That's our spot."
"Really? We can go?" Risa lit up.
"I'm here, aren't I? Of course we can," Shichen replied casually.
"Yes!" Mio and Risa high-fived in excitement.
"Uh… actually…" Haruna raised her hand shyly.
"Something up, Haruna?" Shichen asked.
"I-I think I'll just stay here…"
"Huh? Why?" Lala blinked.
Haruna's eyes flicked toward a certain brown-haired boy in the crowd.
"Ooh~ You just don't wanna leave Yuki behind, huh?" Risa teased with a grin.
"Ugh…" Haruna's face turned bright red.
"All right, I'll leave you to it." Shichen smiled and nodded.
"Thanks, Principal!" Haruna bowed quickly and slipped off into the crowd.
…
"Feeling a little disappointed?" Yui asked, sneaking up beside Shichen.
"What's there to be disappointed about?" he flicked her forehead. "I'm not some sad simp."
"Ow! What's a simp?" Yui rubbed her head.
"Doesn't matter. Let's go."
And just like that, a ripple of magic surrounded them—and poof, they vanished.
A second later, they reappeared at the beach on the island.
"Whoa, we're here already?" Risa blinked.
"That was awesome…" Mio adjusted her glasses in awe.
"Alright, time to change into your swimsuits," Shichen said, summoning a beach chair with magic and sprawling out on it like a king.
Yep. That was his plan all along. No way was he letting other people see their swimsuits.
Yui caught on instantly.
"Wait… You didn't let us change earlier just so you could be the only one to see us, did you?"
"Yup. Got a problem?" Shichen answered shamelessly.
"Wow. Possessive much?"
"Hehe~ It just means he really loves us!" La beamed.
Yui's cheeks flushed.
"Peke, swimsuit mode."
"Yes, Lala-sama!"
With a flash of light, Lala's yukata transformed into a pink bikini. Her soft, porcelain skin practically glowed in the sun.
Her curves, her smooth stomach, her slender legs—youthful and stunning. Shichen couldn't take his eyes off her.
"You've got a great body, Lala~"
"Your skin's so smooth!"
Risa and Mio chatted as they started undressing too. The moment they untied their belts, their yukatas slipped off, revealing white and pale yellow bikinis.
They looked great too—but compared to Lala, they couldn't help but seem a little overshadowed.
"Well? What do you think, Principal?"
"Still can't top Lala," Shichen smirked, not even pretending to look away.
They weren't embarrassed, though. They confidently showed off.
"Very nice," Shichen gave them a thumbs-up.
"Haha~ You're totally just being nice."
"We're going in!"
The two girls blushed slightly but ran into the sea.
"Wait for me!" Lala followed right after.
"So, what are you waiting for?" Shichen turned to Yui with a grin.
"I'm not waiting!" she blurted, already blushing, fingers hesitating on her sash.
"Shy, huh?"
"C-Can you turn around?!" she snapped. She could feel his gaze and it was driving her nuts.
"Why? Do you expect me to never look at you?"
"This is different…"
"How?"
"It's weird when you're watching me change!"
"Get used to it. It'll happen a lot from now on," he teased.
"Wha—! No way!!" she panicked as she caught his meaning.
"Too late. If you won't do it, I'll help," he said, stepping forward.
"Wait! Wait! I'll do it myself!" Yui shouted.
"Alright then." Shichen stopped and crossed his arms, staring directly at her.
Yui bit her lip, avoiding his gaze, and slowly started to loosen her sash.
As the collar opened, it revealed her soft, pale neck, collarbones, and a glimpse of light-blue fabric.
She hesitated, clutching the fabric… and then let go.
Her bikini was revealed—and Shichen's gaze went still.
Her swimsuit was white, her skin like milk, radiant under the sun. Her figure? Slim, curvy, legs long and smooth—just like fine porcelain.
"Wow, you look amazing," Shichen said, impressed.
"S-Stop staring so hard!" Yui twisted to the side, flustered.
"It's too pretty not to stare."
"Not as pretty as Lala…"
"Why are you comparing?"
"Ugh, you're the worst!" Yui snapped and ran toward the others.
"You're so slow, Yui!" Lala called out.
"Not all of us are exhibitionists like you!"
"Eh? I only act like this in front of Shichen!"
"Exactly my point!"
"Huh?" Lala tilted her head, confused, and looked at Shichen.
"Ignore her. Let's hit the water," Shichen said as he took off his robe and dove into the sea.
"Whoa~ Principal has abs!"
"He's so ripped!"
"They're really firm too~" Lala added innocently.
"Eh? Really?!"
"Duh! We're dating, of course I've felt them."
"Oh yeah…"
"You two! Stop being so indecent!" Yui scolded, red-faced.
"Eh? You were staring too," Risa teased.
"I-I was NOT!" Yui yelled, face on fire.
"Hehe~ Sure, sure."
"I-It was an accident!"
"Totally~"
"You guys coming or not?" Shichen called from the water.
"Coming~!" Lala swam over first.
Risa and Mio followed. Yui grumbled, but joined them too.
The underwater world was crystal clear, with no obstacles to sight. You could see sea creatures swimming off in the distance.
Shichen used magic to create oxygen bubbles so they could all breathe underwater freely.
"Let's grill seafood for dinner. See those big shrimp and crabs? That's tonight's feast."
"Got it! I'll catch 'em!" Lala dove straight down.
"Let's go too!"
"Yui, you coming?" Shichen asked.
"Yeah… Wait—where's Yami?"
