Jobless Transmigration: I'm the only one who loves monsters.

Chapter 37: All for nothing?

She stared at him in total silence for what felt like an eternity. Then, something shifted in her expression. The hard, wary lines of her face softened. The corners of her mouth twitched upwards, not in a snarl, but in a genuine, if alien, smile. It was a startling transformation that made him flinch against his better judgement.

' What's with that smile?...' He thought to himself, feeling a bit creeped out.

Before he could react, her head darted forward. He flinched, expecting a bite, but she stopped just centimeters from his face. Her forked, serpent-like tongue flicked out, quick as a lightning strike, and licked a stripe right up his cheek from his jaw to his temple.

It was wet, and surprisingly warm, and sent a jolt of pure shock through his entire system. He blinked, stunned, his mind trying to categorize the gesture. Was it a taste? A sign of affection? Or something else.

' I don't think I like where this is going. Don't tell me she's planning on eating me again...' Adrian began to worry.

He didn't get a chance to figure it out. Because In the next moment, she pushed him down on his back. It wasn't a violent shove, but it was firm and unexpected. Before he knew it, He lost his balance and landed on his back, the chill of the cave floor made him shiver.

While he was thinking of getting up, he began even more worried when she was suddenly on top of him, her human upper body pressing down on his chest, pinning him down, while the upper part of her serpentine body pressed down on his dick.

"Whoa, hey, wait—" This time Adrian couldn't hide it any more, he was completely startled, his voice rising in alarm.

" Stop squirming... You said I was beautiful didn't you." The Gorgon frowned while restraining Adrian with her hands, He found out at that moment that her tail wasn't the only part of her that were strong.

" I know what I said but I never meant this! Don't you think you're moving a bit too fast. We just got to ab understanding!" Adrian tried to explain himself.

But she wasn't listening. Her lower half, began to move again. It didn't constrict him with crushing force, but it began to coil around his legs, his hips, weaving a scaly, living cage around his lower body while he began to feel a moist sensation pressing down on his dick.

To think that she was actually this excited in such a short amount of time, Adrian couldn't help thinking that she might've begun having these thoughts long ago but that didn't matter to him, all he wanted was for her to stop before they did something they would regret later on. He struggled instinctively, trying to push her off, but it was like trying to push aside a tree trunk. She was immovable.

He looked up into her face, and the look in her serpentine blue eyes made his blood run cold. The curiosity was still there, but it was now mixed with something else, something possessive and deeply unsettling. It was a primal, intense look he didn't fully understand, but it screamed danger in a whole new way.

"No, no, no," he babbled, panic setting in fully now. "This isn't what I meant! I don't have… I didn't come here for this! Please!" Adrian's voice began to break apart as he tried to get her to stop but to no avail, it was as if her stubborn nature had returned in full force, she simply refused to listen.

His struggles were useless. His attempts to break free stopped when her coils tightened just enough to hold him completely still. She leaned down, her snake hair brushing his face, each serpent licked his face, the sensation was strange and yet Adrian suddenly felt a strange burning feeling building up in his mind section each time he felt their multiple little forked slippery tongues rubbing against his skin.

The Gorgon girls look intensified when she saw that he was slowly giving in to her advances, her lips parting slightly as they inched closer to his. An amused smile played on her lips, and her slitted serpentine blue eyes squinted into crescents, like a cat that had finally cornered a very interesting mouse and was deciding how to play with it. She was enjoying his panic, his helplessness.

" What's the matter, you were so brazen earlier touching me all over, don't you think it's my turn to touch you."

Her lips inched ever so close to his, before hers touched his, he could already feel her hot breath brushing against his skin, causing his blood to rush towards his lower half.

Adrian squeezed his eyes shut, turning his face away, bracing for what he didn't know was coming. A kiss? Perhaps she was the kinky type and preferred a bite? Or maybe something worse?

He hoped that it would be something harmless, he closed his eyes and waited but

the touch never came.

Instead, a sound ripped through the cave, so loud and full of raw fury that it seemed to shake the very walls.

GRRRRRRR!!!!

It was a deep, fearsome, earth-shaking growl of pure rage.

Adrian's eyes snapped open. The Gorgon girl's head jerked up, her smile vanishing, her body tensing as an angry hiss escaped her lips, her tongue swaying in the air. To think that someone would dare to interrupt her now of all times.

They both turned their heads toward the tunnel entrance.

Standing there, silhouetted against the dim light from above, was Grey. But it wasn't the Grey he knew. This wolf seemed to have undergone a stunning transformation, now she was practically as big as a horse. Her massive shoulders nearly scraped the top of the tunnel entrance, and her limbs looked powerful beneath her thick, shaggy grey fur.

Her head was far bigger than before, her lips pulled back in a horrific snarl that revealed fangs as long as daggers. Her pale sapphire blue eyes burned with a feral, protective rage, fixed directly on the Gorgon who was pinning Adrian to the floor.

Grey had been waiting by the hole earlier but grew too worried so she decided to check up on him. She believed that he wouldn't be too angry with her but the moment she entered the clearing and saw him being held down by another who was trying to take advantage of him, her rage flared up and her body grew into what it was now.

The cave felt suddenly, dangerously small. The air, which had been still and cold, was now charged with the heat of three different kinds of predator. Adrian's mind was still reeling from the sight of Grey, grown to the size of a massive draft horse or should he say dire wolf, her snarling fangs aimed at the Gorgon. But then, his ears twitched when he heard a movement from come from behind the colossal wolf, his eyes squinted to get a better view but when he saw what had made that very noise, his mouth was agape with shock.

From the shadows of the tunnel, another figure emerged. The figure possessed a familiar shade of light green skin, And just like the last time he'd seen her, half of her left ear was missing, That was a tale tell sign that Adrian could never forget.

He stared at her, utterly stunned. To think that the very woman he had choked until the light went out in her eyes. The same woman he had felt her go body go limp on the chilling snow. Was back, now here, standing beside Grey.

The Gorgon girl, whose moment with Adrian had been so violently interrupted, let out a hiss of pure fury. Her serpentine blue eyes blazed with rage, no longer focused on Adrian but on the intruders. In a flash of blurring scales, her powerful tail whipped through the air like a cracking whip, aimed directly at the half-eared goblin.

It seemed she was familiar with her kind and knew that leaving such an agile foe to attack would be dangerous.

But Grey was faster. With a speed that was terrifying for something so huge, the horse-sized wolf lunged, not at the Gorgon's body, but at her whipping tail. Her massive jaws, capable of snapping a tree trunk, closed with a sickening thud around the very tip of the Gorgon's tail that whipped through the air, the tail whip shook her jaw but she resisted and but down, her dagger like fangs sinking into her flesh, drawing blood.

A sharp, pained cry, more human than animal, ripped from the Gorgon's throat. She yanked her tail back, now bleeding freely from the punctures left by Grey's frightening fangs. The pain pushed her rage even further, not only had she been interrupted once but again, this same wolf had gotten in her way again.

" I'll kill you...." Her eyes glared daggers at Grey.

In an instant, she was off of Adrian, surging to her full height. Her claws extended, wickedly sharp, her fangs were bared in a vicious snarl, and her wounded tail lashed the air behind her like an angry serpent.

Grey responded in kind, dropping into a low crouch, narrowly avoiding the attack, a continuous, ground-shaking growl rumbling from her chest that vibrated through the stone floor. Her lips were peeled back from her gums, displaying a terrifying array of fangs. Showing that she was not intimidated by the latter in any way.

' You've gotta be kidding, how did it end up becoming this!' Adrian felt pressured from the two supernatural women who's bloodlust were on full display against one another.

Not to be outdone, the half-eared goblin girl let out her own chattering battle cry, brandishing her rusty dagger, her body tense and ready to spring into the fray. The cave was a heartbeat away from exploding into a bloody free-for-all.

"STOP THIS!!" Adrian's yelled at the top of his lungs, sounding desperate. He'd struggled so much just to get here and now because of a little misunderstanding, everything was going to be ruined?.

' There's no way I'm letting this happen!' His eyes burned with resilience as he scrambled to his feet, his own fear forgotten in the face of the blood bath that threatened to play out before him.

He didn't think. he just moved, throwing himself directly into the center of the triangle of fury, his arms spread wide.

"All of you, just stop!" he yelled, but non of them seemed to listen, instead, Both parties sped towards each other with their weapons bared.

Adrian's eyes trembled with despair but he gritted his teeth and tried to rush towards them yet his heart continued to beat out of control when he realised how weak he was, how could his feeble human body compare to theirs.

In Adrian's eyes, time seemed to have slowed down as he watched Grey barring her fangs as if aiming to bite out a chunk of the Gorgon while the latters claws were raised as if coming down for a dual diagonal slash onto the wolf's face. But her eyes glanced at Goblin girl who was a blur. Aiming for a quick piercing strike towards her heart.

' No! I was so close! She was about to change! She was willing to change, So why is everything falling apart!' Throbbing veins emerged all over Adrian's body. His teeth clenched so hard as if on the brink of shattering, his eyes fixed on the three.

Without him knowing, his legs seemed to suddenly possess and unbelievable amount of power, pushing him towards the 3 as his figure blurred. What Adrian had just done was unconsciously sharing Grey's speed.

' No! It's not enough! At this speed I won't be able to make it in time!' despair felt so close, threatening to enshroud him completely but he still refused to give up.

Little by little, his cannines grew inch by inch. His finger nails slowly shifting into claws, eyes turning even more fierce as a blood red glow began to emerge like a devilish tide, his muscle's growing rapidly all in the span of a split second.
