Jitsu -A different story-

When Shizune arrived, it was the same moment that the doctor noticed both her and Akio, as well as the nurses; he walked towards them and then stepped aside since he knew what was coming next. Shizune had not paid attention to this since her gaze was focused on a single point, and her body did not move an inch due to the scene a short distance away from her.

Possibly that same situation would continue in that way. Fortunately, Akio noticed Shizune's state and he gave her a light push on her back, making her start to move forward little by little, leaving behind any doubt or complicated feeling until that voice that she knew perfectly entered her ears. Still, this time, said voice carried a sensation and feelings that Shizune had never heard from it.

"You really are just like I imagined you… You are the greatest happiness this life has given me…" It wasn't very difficult to guess; specifically, those words that carried an enormous tiredness behind them belonged to Rena.

She was lying on a bed, only the top part was raised so that she could lean on it and sit slightly. In addition to her voice, a deep tiredness was completely visible in Rena, and it was even more noticeable by the small traces of sweat, as well as the state of her hair.

Shizune only had to take a simple glance to notice all this, but besides that, she was still focused on what was now in Rena's arms. Shizune was relatively calm, having been able to see Rena had made that feeling of tranquility she was experiencing before increase once again. She felt the need to say something since it was like Rena was now in her own world away from everything else, and she wanted to get her attention and let her know that she was there, but before she said anything, Shizune couldn't help but get a little lost in her memories.

In reality, she had focused on a single memory, a rather distant one, but at the same time, it was an incredibly important one for her. She was in a similar room that surrounded her as she lay on a bed, at that moment she had also disconnected from everything, an enormous tiredness was hitting her body, but none of that prevented her from focusing on what was in her arms... What she was clinging to was the most precious thing she had in her life until she realized who was near her...

"Mom?" Shizune opened her eyes in response to that question that seemed to be calling her. It was then that she once again came back to reality, resulting in Rena's figure appearing in front of her, and at the same time, she noticed that smile on her, a smile so honest and so nostalgic that it made her experience an infinity of feelings that she didn't know how to express, but in the same way, all of that would be interrupted by a few simple words, but that, in turn, were unique like no other. "Look Mom, isn't he beautiful?"

"Of course he's..." That was Shizune's response when she heard Rena's words, and that same thing made her unable to take her eyes off Rena's arms.

"It's so small, so cute... He's like I always dreamed..." Rena was once again lost in herself a little, but unlike before, she hadn't lost her attention from Shizune, and if she had to explain herself, everything else had stopped mattering, a simple but warm moment was the only thing that persisted, and only Rena and Shizune were the ones experiencing all of that.

Rena turned her face towards Shizune, the same smile as before still adorning her face, but this time, a couple of tears were forming in the corners of her eyes, but the curious thing was that it was the same case for Shizune, and Rena's next words made everything continue to develop in that direction.

"He's Makoto, my son…" It was precisely when she heard that Shizune couldn't help but let out those tears that were threatening to do so, but it must be taken into account that these were not due to a negative feeling, but rather were tears that represented happiness as well as the affection that Shizune was experiencing at that moment. "Look, honey. She's my mom, she's your grandmother, and I'm sure she already loves you as much as I do..."

Shizune was practically speechless, all the accumulation of feelings she was going through didn't let her do anything but stand next to Rena, but now, she was completely focused on that little boy who was in Rena's arms and she didn't want to stop looking at him for a single second.

For Shizune, the scene in front of her seemed unreal in its own way. There was her beloved daughter, the one she had seen grow, the one she loved completely and who was the most important thing for her in this life, but at the same time, was also a new life, the one that was actually the fruit of seeing Rena grow and making her own path in this life. Shizune didn't know how to express it in words, she only knew that there were many things she wanted to say, but at the same time, she couldn't.

Shizune was happy, and it wasn't just any happiness, it was one she had rarely experienced in this life, but at the same time, it would leave a mark on her as long as she was alive. She couldn't help but go back to that memory, the one in which she was in the same situation as Rena when she was the one who had that new life in her arms while experiencing those same feelings that Rena was experiencing at this moment at the same time that at her side was that woman who had loved her in the same way all her life, and once again, a few words had brought Shizune back to reality.

"I know that you will love her very much too… I do not doubt it, and do you know why? Because I love her as much as I love you too." With a new smile, Rena couldn't help but look at Shizune once again after saying those words to her son, and these, those simple words… They were the most beautiful thing that Shizune had heard in this life or any other.
