Izuku The Survivor of Vault 111

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Day That Changed Everything

The morning started calmly, like any other. The sun shone brightly, and the autumn leaves slowly fell on the streets of the neighborhood. Izuku finished his second cup of coffee while reading the newspaper. His mother was in the living room playing with Eri, and Codsworth hummed a tune while sweeping the floor.

However, everything changed in an instant.

News (on TV): We interrupt our programming for an urgent update. Reports of nuclear explosions in New York and Pennsylvania. Citizens, please seek shelter immediately.

The coffee cup dropped from Izuku's hands upon hearing those words. His heart began to race, and his military training kicked in instantly.

Izuku: "Mom, get up! We need to leave now!"

Inko: (Alarmed) "What's happening? What did you hear?"

Izuku: (Picking up Eri in his arms) "It's a nuclear attack! We need to get to Shelter 111. Now!"

Codsworth turned to them with concern in his tone.

Codsworth: "Mr. Izuku, may I assist you in any way?"

Izuku: "There's no time, Codsworth! Stay here and keep the house safe, if possible."

Without waiting any longer, Izuku, his mother, and Eri ran out into the street. The entire neighborhood was in chaos. People were screaming, cars were crashing, and families were running toward the hill where the shelter was. An emergency siren blared in the air, blending with the cries and pleas of those trying to understand what was happening.

Inko: (Crying) "Do you think we'll make it in time?"

Izuku: (Firmly) "Yes. They have to let us in! We were pre-selected."

On the way, Izuku saw Piper, who was trying to help a child who had fallen while running with her family.

Piper: "Izuku! Over here! The military is stopping people without authorization!"

Izuku nodded and quickly followed her, making sure his mother and Eri didn't get separated. As they neared the shelter entrance, the roar of an explosion in the distance made them stop. A nuclear mushroom cloud rose on the horizon, lighting up the sky with an orange glow that seemed to devour everything in its path.

Inko: (Terrified) "Izuku, please, do something!"

Izuku: (Clenching his teeth) "Let's go! We're almost there!"

Finally, they reached the military checkpoint in front of Shelter 111. Soldiers with automatic weapons were trying to control the crowd that had gathered, desperately trying to get in.

Soldier: "Only those registered have access! Show me your ID!"

Izuku quickly handed over the Vault-Tec documents.

Izuku: "My family is registered! Izuku Midoriya! Let us through!"

The soldier checked the list quickly and nodded.

Soldier: "Go ahead! Move fast!"

Izuku, his mother, and Eri rushed through the doors, followed by Piper, who managed to slip through the crowd. The shelter doors began to close just as a second explosion was heard, much closer this time. The heat from the shockwave made some people drop to the ground, while the air vibrated with a terrifying force.

Piper: (Gasping) "That... was close."

Inside the shelter, it was organized chaos. Vault-Tec workers directed the newcomers toward the cryogenic pods, assuring them it was a standard procedure for their safety.

Vault-Tec Worker: "Please follow the instructions and enter the pods. Everything will be fine."

Inko: (Confused) "Pods? What is this?"

Izuku: (Skeptical) "There's no time for questions. Do as they say."

Izuku helped his mother and Eri into their respective pods. Before closing the door to his own, he looked at his mother and daughter, imprinting their faces in his mind.

Izuku: (Whispering) "Everything will be fine... I promise."

The pod sealed, and an intense cold swept through his body. His vision began to fade as the cryogenic system activated.

The last thing he heard before losing consciousness was a metallic voice.

Vault-Tec Voice: "Cryogenic procedure complete. Safety guaranteed. Welcome to the future."

And then, the world went dark.

I hope you support me in this chapter, as I now have the entire harem.
