Chapter 33
Chapter 33 – The Rogue Broadcaast Even Dodat Watches
The Blink Dagger, an item deemed too overpowered and subsequently removed before the third season, was initially not as highly praised at the launch of KoK.
While the ability to escape from underground to the surface and vice versa enhanced the Rogue’s survivability, the penalty of reduced damage—which was already a weak point for Rogues—made its practicality debatable.
However, as players mapped out where using Blink in the underground would place them on the surface, countless strategies emerged for bypassing guards and infiltrating towers—
Once these tactics became commonplace among Rogues, the Blink Dagger turned into a nightmare for archers and an item that forced any strategy to include at least one Mage, Priest, or Rogue.
In other words, for an opponent using a strategy of two archers, two knights, and two warriors, it equated to praying that “please don’t let the Rogue get the Blink Dagger.”
With no Mage to scout, no Priest to foresee danger, and the archers equipped with cumbersome longbows, the traps were non-existent.
In this scenario, the Rogue could bypass subtle maneuvers and directly go for the kill.
It was a despicable gambit, but from the Rogue’s perspective, no friendlier foes existed.

『What just happened』
『What’s going on??』
『What was that just now 』
『Blink Dagger is busted, needs a nerf』
『What were the guards doing』
The chat exploded in confusion and murmurs.
It was only natural, as Yena’s play required someone with complete knowledge of the guard’s detection range and frame timings.
From the average viewer’s perspective, Yena had suddenly darted to an ambiguous location without any apparent path, and with a flash, had bypassed the guard and appeared inside the tower.
Even more astonishing, she suddenly appeared in an area without any visibility, where one would typically scout the surroundings to assess the situation—
But the Rogue, as if by instinct, sprinted up the stairs without a moment’s hesitation.
Reaching the top floor of the tower at full speed, the Rogue, entering a large rectangular room, found two archers with their bows drawn, preparing to release giant arrows.
With quick throws, she canceled their shooting motions by lodging daggers into each of them, signaling the start of the battle.
Although she had the first move, the archers, who had reached high Diamond rank, were well-versed in dealing with rear attacks from Warriors.
Recognizing a single Rogue’s incursion, they instinctively dispersed, knowing that even if one died, as long as one escaped, the game’s outcome wouldn’t be affected.
Dragging the battle out a bit, they anticipated that the approaching Holy Knight would secure the intruder, allowing them to regroup and move back to the center—a sound strategy overall.
Except against a Rogue with a Blink Dagger, their plan wouldn’t have worked flawlessly.
Feigning indecisiveness with a few steps left and right to buy time for the blink cooldown, the Rogue suddenly surged towards the archer furthest from the door.
‘Idiot. If you’re going to target one, you should go after the one closer to the door—me.’
Laughing at the Rogue, the archer turned and started running towards the door, even as his vision tinted red from taking a hit.
Given the distance, the Rogue’s only attack option was a throw—and if she had thrown her last dagger, there would be no follow-up attack.
‘… Throwing your last dagger? These Rogues are all showy trolls—’
But his disdain turned moot as his vision continued flashing and bleeding red, eventually fading into a dull gray.
Moments later, the Rogue, having easily dispatched his companion as well, performed a taunting knife-juggling motion in front of the belatedly arriving Holy Knight.
Then, with a flickering effect, she vanished without a trace.
Only then did the archer realize what had happened.

『(Global) ChiefRogueKiller: This game is garbage, seriously』
『(Global) ChiefRogueKiller: When are they going to remove that@$& Blink Dagger』
『(Global) ChiefRogueKiller: *@$& seriously』
Ignoring the outpouring of praise, the Rogue blinked out of the perilous situation and returned to the underground to leisurely hunt neutral mobs.
Then, as if she had been slightly tense, Yena exhaled lightly and spoke in a voice tinged with laughter.
《Aren’t Rogues great?》
『Looks like Blink is great』
『Ms. Blink, maybe try something other than Rogue』
『What the heck did you just do』
『How did she know the archers’ positions』
『Luck was off the charts』
『If this wasn’t being streamed, I’d say it was a wallhack, for real』
While the chat filled with various nonsense, dodat, who had both Ark’s and Yena’s streams open, could understand the situation perfectly as a fellow broadcaster.
‘Broadcaast sniping.’
More specifically, it was the Red Team’s broadcast sniping.
Given the crucial timing when two longbow archers needed to advance from the Red stronghold to the central stronghold—a vulnerable moment in the entire match.
Realizing this, they used broadcast sniping to anticipate an all-in charge, including the Mage, from the opposing team. There was no reason to play into their hands.
Instead of moving, the archers prepared to snipe from within the Red tower, while the Warriors positioned themselves at a midpoint to ambush the incoming assault.
A perfect counter ambush.
Naturally, the ambushing team would be easily caught off guard, get picked off, and be massacred by the safely advanced Red Team archers in the center, resulting in a defeat screen filled with complaints about broadcast sniping and rage.
‘She saw through it.’
The Rogue had accurately read the archers’ positions, blinked from the underground to the surface, and struck. With that single ambush, the Red Team’s strategy and formation were completely dismantled.
Dodat understood the situation.
But,
‘How in the world?’
Instinctively, dodat started typing on the keyboard.
-Dodat has donated 1,000 KRW!-
【How did you figure out the archers’ positions just now?】
『Really???』
『It’s really Dodat』
『Wow』
『Even Dodat watches this Rogue broadcast』
『Fact! Dodat is watching for the chest broadcast, not the Rogue broadcast』
『LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOL Who would watch this to see a Rogue?』

“Oh. That’s a good question.”
How I figured out the archers’ positions, indeed. It genuinely was a good question that made me nod involuntarily.
With nothing else to do while waiting in stealth for the archers, the timing of the question was perfect.
Seeing people become interested in Rogues one by one indicates a bright future for the Rogue Revival Movement. Especially since this person’s username is Dodat, with just a little encouragement, they could become a devoted member of the Rogue community.
For such a promising young Rogue, a detailed explanation was warranted.
“You noticed there was only one enemy Holy Knight visible, right?”
I moved the mouse to show the minimap location where the two enemy Holy Knights should have been.
“But there was a skull pack underground, right?”
Switching to the underground minimap, she pointed to the location of the recently hunted neutral mobs.
“That means the archers are lingering around the Red Spire.”
『???』
『??』
『???』
『Did anyone understand that?』
『Just show us your chest again』
Yes. Even upon reflection, it was a perfect explanation. Back when I briefly worked as an instructor training interns, I used to lack so much.
Maybe now, I truly was ready to take on Rogue apprentices.
When Dodat had asked if I was thinking of taking apprentices, had they already seen my growth?
-ㅇㅇ has donated 1,000 KRW!-
【Teacher, your lecture is too difficult】
Almost as if they had read my thoughts, a timely donation came through. Teacher. The title of teacher.
I never thought it suited me, but perhaps to truly succeed with the Rogue Revival Movement, I needed to train apprentices.
Confucianism still wields influence today, possibly because Confucius himself had over 3,000 disciples and worked hard to spread his teachings.
Indeed, dodat.
How far ahead was he thinking?
Perhaps, even though his body might be too old to keep up, his heart still wants to be part of the Rogue Revival Movement.
Maybe I should try recruiting him again.
… I wonder if his fan café permanent ban has been lifted?
『Oh please』
『Why do you keep tilting your head』
『Is this guy doing this for fun?』
『This isn’t even a time for sound play, why is he doing this』
-ㅇㅇ has donated 1,000 KRW!-
【Guys, if you tilt your head along with the camera, it reduces motion sickness】
If it hasn’t been lifted, there’s nothing that can be done.
Seeing as today’s Rogue Revival Movement activities seem to be funding quite well, I might have to buy a new portal site ID.
Recently, I checked and found out it’s surprisingly affordable.
… Whether it’s illegal, maybe I should subtly ask Yeri the next time I see her.
