3.14 Actual Dungeon Loot
Isran watched Elysi pull a bag out from behind a destroyed pillar. She strained to move the bag, so Isran walked up to her and picked the bag. It had weight but wasn’t much of a hassle for her. She wondered how many strength points her sheep girl girlfriend had.
“So they were protecting loot.” Phaedra hummed getting closer to Isran.
Isran’s mouth still tasted faintly of goblin blood, and she spat every few seconds, slowly working to get rid of the taste.
“We should get out of the open.” Elysi sighed, searching the goblins. She pulled out several pouches from each of the monsters and pulled out her arrows from their dead bodies.
Once they were sufficiently far from the battle scene, Isran emptied the bag onto the ground. It was seven pm, and Elysi started a fire. It was mostly to keep them in a state of getting used to sleep. The lighting in the dungeon was always consistent.
They had found a mostly intact building and barricaded the door with rocks nearby. They would of course still be keeping watch but the added protection wouldn’t hurt.
“Woah.”
Isran thought the same. The loot was mostly gems and metal ores. Isran honestly wasn’t sure of the difference between the ores and gems, a few of them were shinny blue and others translucent, but the way light struggled to move through the hard pieces made her think it was more metal than gems.
There were a few gold pieces, well more like chunks, as well. Tempered steel. The color of gold but it seemed it didn’t have gold properties, well, Isran couldn’t be sure about that either. She knew nothing about metals and gems.
“Those low-level goblins robbed someone with this much ore?” Phaedra said with a frown.
Elysi sighed as she sat down beside Isran, laying her head on her girlfriend’s lap. “Could’ve been a bandit.”
“There might be more goblins around.” Isran said, running her hand through Elysi’s hair.
“And more bandits if that’s where the goblins got the ore.” Elysi hummed, nuzzling further into Isran’s arms.
Pheadra frowned and sorted through the loot, picking out a red gem. She hesitated briefly then got up to sit next to Isran, their arms lightly touching. Isran did her best to keep her smile hidden.
“It’s a heat gem.”
Elysi glanced at the gem. “You’re not an attack mage so I’m guessing you can’t do anything with the gem.”
Phaedra shook her head. “Yeah. Though maybe one day I could.”
“Really?” Isran lifted an eyebrow, interested in the peculiarities of people’s stats and skills.
Phaedra hesitated once again.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it, it’s private after all.”
Pheadra nodded and was quiet for a bit. “It’s okay. My specific class (1) name is Blessed healer of Hipettime.”
Isran was mostly confused by the name but she did figure out that Hipettime was a name of a god. She didn’t remember the name, like she had with Sephia and Vycor. She also remembered two others Liquam and Deskian. Liquam had to be water but she didn’t know about Deskian.
Elysi sat up. “Oh, that makes sense.” She looked at Isran’s confused face and laughed. “Oh, I forgot.”
“Uh… Phaedra, Isran has memory loss so she’d appreciate if you could elaborate.”
Isran nodded in agreement. Happy she didn’t have to say that herself. Her thoughts could get jumbled when the simplest of things needed to be said.
Pheadra blinked but didn’t ask about it. “Uh.. Hipettime is the goddess of health and hearth, or fire in some places of the world.”
Isran nodded. “I’m guessing you currently only have healing skills.”
“Yes that’s right.”
“I’m realising now that you don’t know the name of my specific class (1).”
Isran looked at her girlfriend. “I didn’t think it was necessary, really…” She blushed a bit.
Elysi smiled tenderly. “It’s a sign of trust, and I trust you. Also considering Phaedra has trusted us with hers I’m not adverse to saying it in front of her.”
Phaedra blushed. “Oh that’s quite alright.”
Isran was slowly learning about the importance of the differences in norms in Neos and her past world. “I trust you.” Isran smiled, bumping their shoulders lightly. Phaedra’s blush got worse and she lowered her head to hide it.
“Ok, before Pheadra dies from embarrassment.” Elysi giggled. “My specific class (1) is Whore of Sephia.”
“Wow, a blessed whore?” Phaedra perked up, her embarrassment gone.
It was Elysi’s turn to blush. Something Isran didn’t see her blush often and she took the opportunity to admire it.
“Yeah, I was offered an archery class but a blessed class...” She shrugged at the end of the sentence.
“So you have two primary classes?”
Elysi nodded, still looking timid at the attention.
“What level are you on? Oh is that too private of a question?”
Elysi waved her hand. “Oh it’s okay, I hit level six after my last monster kill.”
“Have you been offered any archery related skills? I’m guessing even if you have you haven’t taken them yet, but wow by level forty you will be a crazy powerhouse, well, if you pick good skills. If not it can become a handicap.” Phaedra was mumbling to herself by the time she finished her sentence. “What about you Isran?”
Isran smiled at how close Phaedra got to her, gripping her hand. The woman almost looked like she was vibrating with excitement. “What’s your specific class (1) name?”
“Knight of greatness.”
Phaedra surprisingly didn’t deflate at the news that she didn’t have a god’s name in her class name, in fact she looked even more pleased.
“Gods are watching you? Wow, that class is super rare but definitely well known, in fact the current head of Evelncarth’s council has that class. That’s a king’s class, this is insane—” Phaedra cut herself off when she noticed Isran and Elysi smiling at her.
She laughed nervously. “I’m sorry… I ramble when I get excited.” The ‘excited’ came out as a whisper and a blush coated her cheeks.
“We should eat.” Isran said, hoping the time will help Phaedra’s embarrassment. “We should talk more while we eat though, I’m really interested in your knowledge on classes.”
